    Disadvantages Disadvantages Very Glitched, Repetitive

I was a big fan of the 'Need for Speed : Underground' games, back when all you had to do was get to the starting point and then race. There was no story and there was no running away from the cops every five minutes. After 'Need for Speed : Underground 2' I stopped playing these games. because it moved away from the original idea of the game and because the far better 'Juiced' was on the market. But I finally decided to give one ago and here's the review for it. ~~~ Story ~~~ I was unaware that the 'Need for Speed' games had a story nowadays, so I was surprised when the game started with a cut ... more

Advantages Advantages great graphics, okay-ish storyline

Disadvantages Disadvantages horrible gameplay, no real modification of cars, no real rewards

Ever since I got my first copy of "Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit" with a Voodoo3 graphics card, back in 2001, I have been hooked on the Need for Speed series. So, when I got my PS3, I decided to grab a copy of NFS: Undercover. While I did not regret buying it, I did NOT get my money's worth. GAMEPLAY Ever since "Need for Speed: Most Wanted" came out, they have been trying to recapture the magic of that edition of the game, and Undercover was one such attempt. One big change in Most Wanted was the added storyline. After all, when racing and modifying cars, who needs a storyline? So, you are ... more

Advantages Advantages Refreshing new style races and story

Disadvantages Disadvantages Fast and easy to complete if you dont want to waste time doing unnecessary races

After reading mixed reviews about this particular game I was within two minds of buying it. However, since playing a copy borrowed off my friend I was no longer within two minds of buying it (in a good sense not a bad sense). I must be honest, that I have remained loyal throughout the whole series buying need for speeds going back as far as the ps1 regardless of other reviews and agree that there have been a number of ups and downs. I will, however, promise to be as unbiased and objective as possible within this review. Starting with the title- Undercover, one may associate it with the other ... more

Advantages Advantages Graphics, story, cars race etc.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Amount of Story

NFS Undercover is the latest game in the series. this game tries to reclaim the series from ProStreet which many people did not like due to the lack of variability and street racing. This game brings back the old style cop chases and also brings in modes from ProStreet put alters them to make them more interesting to fans as they involve the cops and good olkd fashioned street racing. Cop chases are the highlight of this game with their growing tactics and arsenal of vehicles it can turn any race into a full frontal attack fromt the police. Modes such as circuit, sprint, cost to state and cop ... more

    Advantages Advantages good music tracks

    Disadvantages Disadvantages gameplay, technical problems

The need for speed series had taken some hard hits lately and undercover really seemed to roll back to it's core roots and in a sense it does, the gameplay itself plays very much like the classics did, but the overall finish of the game is very poor in a sense that there seems to be a lot of technical issues. The most noticable of these is the framerate, speeding around the streets is great fun in games because you cant do it in real life, but when you turn a corner and the screen freezes for half a second each time you seem to be driving fast, it really ruins the experience, there are various ... more
