Works instantly and he can go back to sleep

Advantages: Seems to take the pain away
Disadvantages: None. Yet.

...NELSON'S Acccording to the box, Nelsons have been making family medicines since 1860, which is quite a long time and so they should be quite good at it by now. They are a British company, based in London. They make a wide range of homeopathic medicines. HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINES I am sure there are reams of stuff written about homepathic medicines on Ciao (if "reams" is the write word for electronic data storage? Maybe "there are chips of stuff" would ...

The Natural Teething Remedie

Advantages: Fast Relief For baby, Handy sachets
Disadvantages: Pricey - BUT worth it!

...and before I came across Nelsons Teetha I had tried the usual Calgal, bongella, teething rings and the suggested method of applying Calpol to the effected area. Although good, they only seemed to work for a desired time, and my baby didn't seem any happier and the sleeping patterern was totally out of the window. I needed something better, something to help me and my son get through this time! I was told about Nelsons teetha, teething crystals ...
...PRODUCT--- What is Nelsons Teetha? Nelsons teetha is a homeopathic ready dosed sugar free powder that simply dissolves on your babies tongue. It calms the baby down as well as getting rid of any discomfort. The active ingredient is Chamomilla. The packet contains 24 sachets that are really easy to use; you just tear one of and shake it into babies' mouth. I don't think they have any taste, as my little fellas had no trouble taking them. A dose ...

One of my most recommended baby buys

Advantages: "Healthy" option
Disadvantages: Quite expensive

My daughter, now 14 months, had her first tooth at 16 weeks and had 8 by the time she was 7 months! Those few months she seemed to be permanently teething but I was loathed to keep giving her paracetamol and teething gel as she seemed so little. I also was never sure that it was teething that was responsible for this grouchy crying little thing, it was so hard to judge-was it teething or was she just tired? We had several difficult nights when I ...
...to last a few hours. When a friend with an older baby recommended teetha I had never heard of it but was ready to give it a go. I bought it from Holland and Barratts, our local health food shop and it costs aound £4.25 for 24 sachets but I have seen them in supermarkets recently. I asked the assistant for more information and she phoned Nelsons, the manufacturer who apparently said they were not actually able to recommend homeopathic remedies ...

Teetha Powders

Advantages: very easy to use and carry with you
Disadvantages: slighlty expensive for the amount you get

...could try and he gave Nelsons Teetha granuals. I was a bit aprihensive as he said it was power again i thought it was going to be a nightmare to give Aaron (my son). I was pleasantly surprised with the difference between the two though. First of all Nelsons Teetha is a homoeopathic medicine for the relief of the symptoms of teething. Contains Chamomilla. For a box of teetha it costs £4.40 in Boots. In this box you get 24 little square packets and ...

ONE OF THE ESSENTIAL BABY BUYS !!

Advantages: Effective, calming, easy to use, portable
Disadvantages: Bit pricey but worth it

This product was recommended to me by a friend as I had tried a few other teething powders (reluctantly as I don't really like giving chemicals to someone so young) but none seemed to have any impact on my poor 7 month old son. I was intrigued to try a homeopathic remedy for its natural properties (it contains Chamomilla) and this one has not let me down once!! It comes in a box containing 24 easy to use sachets - I will admit the first few times ...
...clamp his mouth shut and he ended up looking like he was snorting drugs!! However, once he realised the powders tasted quite nice he now gets super excited yet instantly calm with mouth wide open as soon as he sees the packet now, which is the best way that I know they work. They instantly calm him, day or night, and definitely soothe the teething pain. I have sometimes used them when he is just agitated and they really do the trick. Easy to administer ...

Don't leave home without them.

Advantages: Calms baby quickly, not a medicine
Disadvantages: Can be awkward to get baby to take

...better. WHAT ARE THEY? Nelsons Teetha are homeopathic remedies which calm and soothe the pain of teething. The Teethas are granules , similar to sherbet, and they come in individual sachets which you pour into your babies mouth. As it looks a bit like sherbert. and it can be a bit tricky to get it all in the mouth, and quite often we have spillage on the nose or chin! TECHNICAL STUFF Each 300mg sachet contains 6c homeopathic potency of Chamomilla, ...
...can give your child one sachet every two hours for up to six doses. They contain camomile, which calms your baby, and soothes their gums. DO THEY WORK? Yes, (usually) I don't know how they work, but i can usually guarantee my daughter will have stopped grizzling within around 5 minutes. HOW MUCH DO THEY COST? At around £4.50 per pack of 24 Nelson's teethas are quite expensive, but I wouldn't be without them. Some shops do their own brand Teethas, ...

Homoeopathic help for teething little ones

Advantages: This is a natural product.
Disadvantages: It can be scary to put a powder into your baby's mouth at first.

Having a son of just ten months old, I can heartily recommend Nelson's Teetha. He started to cut his teeth when he was six months and was generally grumpy, off his food and not himself... My health visitor recommended the Teetha; she had lots of mums who preferred not to give paracetamol to their babies on a regular basis. I decided to give this a try. It is a camomile powder which helps your baby's natural defence system to kick in. Giving it for ...
...baby, but I worried about putting powder into my baby's mouth. No problem! He simply lapped it up. After ten or fifteen minutes of soothing him he became a lot quieter and drifted off to sleep in my arms. That was the last we heard of him until the morning, which was quite a relief after several nights of interrupted sleep! I had found that with the teething gels, which worked very quickly, my son woke up again after an hour or so and was more agitated ...

Homeopathic remedy for teething

Advantages: Can be given more often than the usual teething gels, and is 100% natural
Disadvantages: Sometimes the packet gets wet so the powder does too, and then it's difficult to adminster

My son is six months old and has been teething for a couple of weeks (still no sign of that tooth yet though!). I've tried the usual teething gels, but he likes the taste of them and ends up licking it off his gums and gets no effect from them. I tried Nelson's Teetha following a recommendation from a friend and I have to say the result was pretty miraculous. My son went from being a grumpy little boy off his food and crying a lot to wolfing down ...
...Now I give him a dose before every meal, because you can reapply it every 2 hours, and he's my happy smiley little boy again. Now all I need is that tooth to actually cut. Nelson's Teetha is a homeopathic remedy, so no paracetamol or other medicine, which means it can be re-administered more regularly than the usual gels. It obviously tastes fairly nice as he doesn't object to taking it, and doesn't spit it out like some medicines. I was a bit nervous ...

Quick review of Nelsons Teetha

My little girl is nearly 6mths old and has recently cut her first two teeth. She has me up for 5 nights on the run until I read about Nelsons Teetha granules and used them. THEY ARE AMAZING!! Within minutes my screaming baby transforms into a silent angel!!! Gels havent worked as they get licked off gums so the granules are far better and so easy to put into a tiny mouth.I thoroughly recommend these to everyone with a teething baby!! ...

no more tears from teething the natural way

Advantages: effective, natural
Disadvantages: can be a bit tricky to use

My little boy seemed to be constanly teething, as soon as he got over one, up would pop the next. Whilst that meant that we got through teething relatively quickly, it also meant that we spent a lot of time trying to soothe him. Whilst over the counter Ibrupofen medicine worked well, becuase he spent so much time teething we were unhappy to be constantly giving him 'drugs' so I looked for a more natural alternative - we found that with Nelson Teetha ...
...these are, they are small sachets of single dose white powders containing mostly camomile. You open up the sachet and tip it into babys' open mouth (that's where some problems can arise!) or alternatively you can disolve it in warm water and give it as a drink. It tastes just like sherbet so little ones like it and it got to the point that when our little boy saw the sachet being opened he sat with his mouth wide open ready for it ! We found them ...

What a godsend

Advantages: Small individual packets of powder, easy to carry round.
Disadvantages: Sometimes difficult to get down child if not co-operating. Sometimes end up with more on the floor than in child's mouth.

I have been using these teethers since Megan first started teething, around 6 months. What a god send they were at times. She could be really upset with the teething but a couple of minutes after having the powder she would really calm down. They must taste really nice as well as she always asked for more when she had had all the powder. The only problem was that at times she would not want to have the powders (had got herself too upset) and due ...

Nelsons teething granules

Advantages: simple to use and effective homeopathic granules used to ease babies teething pain. Each little sachet contains granules which ease little ones teething pains that can be used every 2 hours at a maximum duration of six hours.
Disadvantages: I found the product quite expensive. There aren't enough sachets in each box. I found that the sachets were quite messy and difficult to insert into the childs mouth, as the granules go everywhere but into the childs mouth when he's in a lot of pain.

My experience of using Nelsons teething granules have been quite positive. You empty the contents of one sachet into the infants mouth every two hours for up to 6 doses. I have found this product very effective with my son who is teething at present. He appears much calmer and at ease when he receives the granules. The maximum I would normally have to use on him would be be between 4 - 5 sachets. Each box usually contains 24 sachets. I would ...

Danger of Misunderstanding Homeopathy

Advantages: safer than pharmacueticals, nelsons have good reputation
Disadvantages: capsules would be better than pills; homeopathy should be prescribed

Homeopathy is prescribed not just by ailment, but by the particular sympthoms manifested by the individual, and their emotional state. 'Tetha' is a commercial preparation of 'Chamomilla', a homeopathic preparation from chamomile flowers. Homeopathy works on the principle of 'like treats like' - it gives you a miniscule dose of the disease or poison htat fits your sympthoms, in order to trigger your own immune system and healing processes. 'Teetha' ...
...with a low pain threshold, feverish, often rashy, etc. however, it won't work if the child has a green nappy, green discharge from nose - pulsatilla would be better. Calc carb and belladonna are other remedies used for teething. So it is not going to be effective in all cases, and could lead to the baby proving the remedy (manifesting the sympthoms - becoming grouchy, crabby and slightly feverish, very fussy and satisfied with nothing!!!not nice!).it ...

Easily portable pain relief

Disadvantages: Getting it in the mouth takes some getting used to

...with you. I've found that Nelsons and Boots own Teether powder are exactly the same product (both made by Nelsons) and the same price, so I don't really see the point of Boots bothering. The cheapest place I have found these is Bodycare shops where they are £2.99 for 24 which is a lot cheaper than boots (£4.40). ...

Relief for baby (and for you)

Advantages: Homeopathic, soothing for baby
Disadvantages: quite expensive

My aunt, whose youngest child is now 7 years old recommended these homeopathic teething powders to me when my son (now 8 months old) was cutting his first teeth. I had tried a few other teething gels and teething rings, but none seemed to help. I took my aunts advise and purchased a box of these teething powders, and I only wish I had done it sooner.
