Great games and spec

High price

What let the Neo Geo down in a big way was it's price. And I'd bet that SNK is kicking itself right now, if it had knew how much the video gaming industry had grown. Nevertheless, the Neo Geo found itself a niche market, with those who had the money, a more 'adult' gamer, and those who simply...

Tiny!

No new games

I think this is about the SNK Neo Geo Pocket? :-) Right, well Ive got one of the pale blue ones - they didnt have cammouflage blue when I went to the shops :-((( They're ace! Well worth buying. The games are a bit thin on the ground though, and unfortunately theyre not going to get any thicker...

No Case

The Neo Geo is ultimately the best handheld console of its time. In my opinion it is miles better then the colour gameboy. It is as light as a feather and has great graphics and quality colour. Not only this but there is a great variety of games. If your looking for hours of enjoyment anywhere in...

Better than a gameboy by far

It's dead in the UK

Advertising is an important aspect in today's market of world video-gaming, so is timing. Of course you've got to have a good piece of kit to sell, but without the first two you're more or less guaranteed failure. You see, the Neo Geo PC (pocket colour) was a very powerful little machine that had...

“Stick to Arcade machines!!!”

Great consoles and great games

Priced themselves out of the Market.

Neo Geo made one big mistake with its machines. They priced themselves way out of the market. I remember the arcade machine they used to have at the leisure centre that allowed you to select about 5 or 6 different games to play. One kiddie sayd that the console games were exactly the same quality...

Lovely little player

It's been withdrawn, no more games

Although the Neo Geo has been withdrawn, snapping one up would be a good idea as there are some lovely little games available for it. I bought mine because I am getting sick of the Gameboy and I find my fingers hurts after playing. The Neo Geo has a lovely little joystick and is well spaced apart...

The Neo Geo Pocket is the latest handheld the grace the shops, but is it worth the £60 price tag? My opinion is 'yes', as the graphics are far better than that of any other handheld, both past, and present. Also, games such as 'Sonic', 'King of Fighters', 'Fatal Fury' are of a reasonable quality...

Some good games, good graphics

very expensive English version games, discontinued

Firstly, it's the Neo Geo pocket, the Neo Geo was a TV console with very expensive games. It seems that the Neo Geo Pocket is heading the same way. The reason? It has been taken off all markets except from Japan after a take over of SNK. This was because there was not enough software support, not...

My advice, is that if your into SNK games and arcade type games, then you can`t get better, than a neogeo pocket, it is a SNK die hard gamers dream, King of the Fighters, SNK vs Capcom, Sonic the hedghehog, Metal Slug etc. But if your not into SNK games and you don`t know what i am talking about...

Good Casino type games

Not enough selection,

When the Neo-Geo was released last year it was set to overtake Nintendo's Game Boy in the handheld consoles war. Yet despite the claims, it never happened. The games available for this machine are quite limited but if you like casino based games, there is an excellent choice out there. Try...

Poor Battery Life, Games and Unit's Pricey

Well We've all heard the Press' opinion of this pocket sized device but whats it like to use? An absolute dream! I thought i'd be hanging onto my cash until the GameBoy advance launched but with untold delays and a dubious launch lineup I decided to splah out and was justly rewarded with a...

too big for my pocket

this is another alternative to the magical gameboy and it is good because it is colour but it is not as famous as the game boy so not many people will buy it and so it will probably go obselete real soon which I know is a bad thing to say but some bad things really have to be said and this is one...

Neo Geo could of had it all they could of been the world greatest console making machine plus have games that was ahead of it's time well on console anyway. I mean in the early 90's even to the mid 90's no other machine could match it's qulity in graphics, it's memory capicity, I mean you had...

“NEO GEO THE BEST”

The best graphics and advanced game play

Rare!

What can I say. The Neo Geo Pocket is the most powerful, highest quality graphics hand held machine ever produced. It is a great shame it was withdrawn in 1999 as it was the only real competitor to the Gameboy Colour. The best place to find the highly sought after and ever collectors items games...

Not my thing

The neo geo appears to be a mini MegaDrive even some of the games are the same. As expected the graphics are nothing to write home about but what do expect from a 16 bit machine. It out classes the Gameboy but I still wouldnt buy it as squinting at a patheticly small scree and trying to contral...
