Advantages Advantages Er...let me check and get back to you.

Disadvantages Disadvantages It's barely cappuccino, froth too heavy and powdery, it's made by Nestle

For someone who usually takes their coffee black, I'm surprisingly fond of a decent cappuccino. Indeed, if I'm ever in a coffee shop, I'll always choose that over an Americano and in New York last year, I drank nothing but cappuccinos for three days. But a cappuccino has always been a "special" drink for me. The kind of drink that you only have if you're out somewhere. As an accompaniment to an Italian meal, or something to sit in a cafe drinking, ideally on a summer's day, and ideally while reading a good book. It's best with an intellectual kind of pursuit. The problem is, and always has ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cappuccino at home

Disadvantages Disadvantages May upset some coffee lovers

I am addicted to Cappuccino’s at the moment, and cannot go through a whole day without having one. I prefer Cappuccino’s from places like Starbucks and Costa, but this isn’t always possible because believe it or not, we don’t actually have a Starbucks on the island, and there is only one café that sells Costa’s coffee. So to satisfy my coffee cravings I buy Nescafe Cappuccino sachets. They are really handy because you don’t have to add milk to them. This is a lifesaver at work, because most of the time someone forgets to buy the milk, so ordinary coffee and tea is out of the question. I have a ... more

Advantages Advantages Tastes nice, easy to make...

Disadvantages Disadvantages 53p for 2 drinks, some strange ingredients...

I’m back from almost a week visiting relatives in Lincoln. I am shattered and my throat infection is back with a vengeance. I can’t get a Doctors’ appointment until tomorrow. The weather has been beautiful while we were away. It was T-shirt weather in late September – amazing! It’s now cold and miserable. It really feels like October. So on a cold and frosty morning and with a bad throat, I need a hot drink. Some of you know I drink tea like a madwoman, but occasionally, I fancy something a bit different. So this combination of factors led me to my local Spar and ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to make, portable

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive, too thick in consistency

I love instant cappuccino drinks, they are so easy to make and drink. I have been a regular Tesco’s cappuccino drinker, which is easy to make and tastes lovely. So when I saw Nescafe cappuccino sachets in my local spar on the way to work one day, I thought I’d buy one for a mid-morning treat. I have had these ones before, and they tasted ok when I had them then, so perhaps the ones I bought this time were from a bad batch… The packaging is fairly basic but clear. There is a red top part with a sandy coloured bottom part (it is a scene of a deckchair I think). I bought the pack of two sachets ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages -

I wake up in the morning and the first thing I do is put the kettle on to make my first coffee of the morning, I always need a coffee and a cigarette to get me started. I was running out of Nescafe and knew that I would have to get more at the local supermarket later that day. Whilst browsing the coffee shelf in the supermarket I noticed to my delight that Nescafe now do Cappuccino`s, I got my box of 10 for £1.99 and had one as soon as I got home just to see what they were like. APPEARANCE A red and brown box with Nescafe Cappucino written on it and a gorgeous looking cup slightly overflowing ... more

Advantages Advantages cheaper than going out for a cappuccino, instant cappuccino

    Disadvantages Disadvantages mediocre taste

Life in Schloß Morgenhund isn’t all smoked salmon, fresh bagels delivered daily, English Rose tea, filter coffee and an espresso machine - occasionally I have to slum it too. When I am particularly busy the kettle gets used a lot - not for coffee as I still find it just as easy to load up the coffee machine, but when I haven’t got time to go out for a Cappuccino in one of the nearby Kaffeehäuser I have to make do with Nestlé cappuccino. Incidentally, the frothed milk cappuccino so frequently consumed in Britain is called a Melange, with a Viennese cappuccino being served with cream... But I ... more

Advantages Advantages Quick and very easy to make, not overly strong.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Aftertaste, doesn't really look as good as in picture

I am not usually a lover of Cappuccino's but I've seen these advertised quite a bit recently and so having the added option of a chocolate flavour coffee, I decided to give them a try. So picture me in tesco's with my 3 year old trying to get round and out as quick as possible when my eye stopped on:- Nescafe - Mocha. This particular packet also has a competition on the box which I am sure you will agree is very appealing - Win a £10,000 spending spree with support from Trinny and Susannah. More about this later. *****Cost***** There is 8 sachets in the box, each a 22 gram serving. The cost in ... more

    Advantages Advantages It was free

Disadvantages Disadvantages The froth can be a bit bitter

You can breathe a sigh of relief everyone, this op is in no way connected with my trip to Barcelona or a challenge op - it's all about an instant cappuccino!! -=Background=- I like freebies. I’m certain many other people on this site do as well, it’s probably why most of you are here the (“free” cash). This being said, I like to try out new products by way of a free sample before I run out and blow my cash on a full jar/packet/box/etc, it just doesn’t make economical sense, especially if it ends up languishing in the back of my cupboard for six months before being thrown away! I put my hand up ... more

    Advantages Advantages Quite tasty

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the real thing

***The coffee society*** Let's face it, with today's hectic lifestyle not everyone can afford to make freshly brewed coffee in the morning. And if you are a cappucino lover on a student budget, well, that cappucino machine is way out of your budget. Of course there are the likes of Starbucks, Costa and Cafe Nero that offer you the opportunity to purchase freshly (not always!) brewed coffee for a hefty price-tag. But hold on, have you ever added up what a coffee habit will cost you at one of these places? If I bought just one grande cappucino at Neros five times a week, this would cost me £9.50 ... more
