Advantages: Er...let me check and get back to you. Disadvantages: It's barely cappuccino, froth too heavy and powdery, it's made by Nestle
...to scratch. But when Nescafe had an offer on recently where you could get 5 cappuccino sachets free with a 300g jar of Nescafe, I thought I'd give it another try. After all, the picture on the box looked like a fairly decent cappuccino and, if they didn't turn out to be any good, the price was right!
The sachets are quite a decent size, although this isn't really a surprise, given that a cappuccino would normally be served in a larger cup than a ... ...taste test. And here, Nescafe Cappuccino fails again. The froth is quite heavy, and has a slightly powdery taste to it, no matter how much you've stirred the drink beforehand. Once you're through that, what you have is a cup of white coffee. The froth attaches itself to the side of the mug quite quickly and with that gone, there's no difference between this and a normal coffee with milk, apart from the powdery aftertaste from the froth, which seems ...

Advantages: Cappuccino at home Disadvantages: May upset some coffee lovers
...my coffee cravings I buy Nescafe Cappuccino sachets. They are really handy because you don’t have to add milk to them. This is a lifesaver at work, because most of the time someone forgets to buy the milk, so ordinary coffee and tea is out of the question. I have a store of Nescafe Cappuccino (now NC for short) in my desk drawer, and they are a great life saver in the mornings allowing me to stay wide awake without falling asleep amongst a pile of ... ...all very soon. Nescafe have cottoned on to the fact that café society/culture is big business, and have cashed in with an assortment of café style coffees. Other varieties include: Vanilla, Latte, Hazelnut, Mocha and Caramel flavours. I can vouch for the Mocha but haven’t tried any of the other coffees. Each sachet contains 16g of coffee and milk powder, and the new packaging boasts that it is now mug size with even better froth. Nescafe are currently ...

...and then two sachets of Nescafe Cappuccino. The Options and Cadbury’s Instant Break were 50p for two, the Cappuccino was 53p. The instructions are easy. You boil the water, let it cool, put the powder in the cup and add the hot water while stirring. It looked pretty good, with a nice creamy froth on top and lots of bubbles. Each sachet of Nescafe Cappuccino is 53 calories, which I don't think is too bad, but it might be too high if you are on a strict diet. The drink is readily available and can be bought in boxes of ten sachets as well as the pairs. I was impressed overall. I’m not a huge coffee fan, but this was nice and helped to soothe my throat, as well as making a change from my usual tipple. It won’t convert me from my ten-a-day tea habit ...

Advantages: cheaper than going out for a cappuccino, instant cappuccino Disadvantages: mediocre taste
Life in Schloß Morgenhund isn’t all smoked salmon, fresh bagels delivered daily, English Rose tea, filter coffee and an espresso machine - occasionally I have to slum it too. When I am particularly busy the kettle gets used a lot - not for coffee as I still find it just as easy to load up the coffee machine, but when I haven’t got time to go out for a Cappuccino in one of the nearby Kaffeehäuser I have to make do with Nestlé cappuccino. Incidentally, ... ...called a Melange, with a Viennese cappuccino being served with cream... But I digress.
Generally instant cappuccino is a bit of a disappointment, with the espresso-like crema (technical term for the “froth”) often being like a sludge, and the coffee really very weak and washed out – and milky, but then again the overriding majority of the mixture you chuck in is actually a milk powder colour, so that is probably to be expected. Serving suggestions ...

...So when I saw Nescafe cappuccino sachets in my local spar on the way to work one day, I thought I’d buy one for a mid-morning treat. I have had these ones before, and they tasted ok when I had them then, so perhaps the ones I bought this time were from a bad batch…

Another thing that disappointed me with the Nescafe version is that the Tesco’s ones include a dinky sachet of chocolate for you to sprinkle on the top, shame you cannot do it with the Nescafe ones as this would probably improve the taste slightly too.
The advantages of having a product like this is that you can easily carry a sachet around, it is easy to make providing you don’t use freshly boiled water and ...

...I was running out of Nescafe and knew that I would have to get more at the local supermarket later that day.
Whilst browsing the coffee shelf in the supermarket I noticed to my delight that Nescafe now do Cappuccino`s, I got my box of 10 for £1.99 and had one as soon as I got home just to see what they were like.
APPEARANCE
A red and brown box with Nescafe Cappucino written on it and a gorgeous looking cup slightly overflowing with frothy cappucino ... ...bargain.
OTHER INFORMATION
Nescafe also make Mocha and Latte available in boxes of 10 sachets for the same price. Each sachet of cappucino contains 50 calories which I dont think is too bad for the waistline as long as you dont get through the whole box in one day.

...froth) tastes exactly like "regular" Nescafe instant coffees, but that isn't too much off a surprise.
I don’t think that this really tastes like a cappuccino, just a (impressively) frothy coffee, I know there isn’t *much* difference, but it still isn’t quite right.
