“Hot but too sweet”

published 17/07/2002

convenient

Cost, amount of coffee, and sugar in the no sugar ...

We had been out shopping, the weather was cold and the coffee shops were packed. I was thirsty and really fancied a coffee. Walking into a newsagent I saw the answer to my prayers. Nescafe coffee in a can, the can heats itself, so soon I would be able to enjoy the hot cuppa that I yearned for. My...

“Coffee Can Calamity”

Handy for a mobile ashtray

Expensive for a mobile ashtray

Anyone who knows me would know that I have a very severe passion for coffee. Maybe I do drink a fair amount of the stuff but a man has to have his vices right !! Okay, so I may spend a lot of my time sitting in my local Costa and on average I get through about a 1Kg catering tin of Nescafe at...

Convenient at those inconvenient times

A couple of months ago I read an article about this new invention of coffee in a self-heating can. It was the answer to my prayers - I'm a total coffee addict and often find myself dying for a cup when there's nowhere to find one (driving long non-motorway journeys late at night, out walking in...

Convinient, good tasting coffee

Quite expensive

Coffee in a self heating can? What will they come up with next?! Something just as good I hope, if not better. I had heard quite a lot about this coffee in a can business by Nescafe and the other day while looking for a jar of coffee, I came across it, so I had to buy it didn’t I! Even if it did...

“Coffee in a can”

convenient, easy to use,

expensive, do not get a lot of coffee in it

I was out for the day the other day. It was really cold and I wanted a hot drink to warm me up. I was in the newsagents and saw nescafe in a can, so I decided to buy it to see what it tasted like. Nescafe in a can comes in a 210ml can, so you do not really get that much coffee in it. It has the...

“Now that's clever”

Hot coffee in an emergency

A bit expensive for what it is.

Now Dave has started his new job as a consultant he’s travelling all over the country on a regular basis. So, when I heard about the invention of the self heating coffee can, I thought I’d get some for him to keep in the car in case he got stuck in traffic on a cold night. I initially bought a...

“Coffee to Go”

Handy to keep in the car, caravan, lorry etc

Expensive for the actual amount of coffee.

This clever little invention is, without a doubt, a beverage marvel. I don’t know how long it has been on the market for, but the can still brandishes the word “new” on the label. I happened upon the “coffee in a can” a few weeks ago in a news agents. I am a terrible impulse buyer and bought 2...

Nescafes latest venture is coffee in a can (like a coke can) You can choose it with sugar and milk, with milk or black. Its a wonderful gadget but not new, similar were used in the war for the troops. It works as well. 1) turn can upside down and firmly press the button to break seal. 2) shake...

Cheaper then most cafes and convenient

The lip of the can ,can get really hot and burn

Ok ....so we all know that nasa have used this for donkeys years ....but to the general public this is a reletatively new idea......ok to the product this looks like a regular can of fizzy drink although the usual can of pop holds 330ml...this one only holds 210ml so is deceptive on first glance...
