    I have to admit that I'm just a tiny bit partial to a decent cup of coffee, not that one-dimensional instant brew, but the real thing. I guess it harks back to my formative years, when the ultimate in luxury was our weekly visit to a coffee shop when the family would partake of a tea cake and our choice of freshly brewed beverage. It was during this weekly ritual that I would be allowed my one and only cup of coffee of the week and at that time I would drink it black and sweet with cream floating on top (that seems to be a bit of a dying art, floating cream on top of coffee).     As a student, I often find myself up to the early hours of the morning trying to write an essay which is due that day. I know, I’m the stereotypical student. Recently I moved into my new student flat with two friends. We decided we would need a coffee machine to give us that caffeine boost we so needed.     Advantages Advantages Great design, quick to heat up, awesome range of flavours.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages High cost of the machine and pods, need to experiment with taste initially.

    I have recently moved into a new student flat with two of my friends (wessexgirls14 being both my flatmate and another Ciao user). We decided to pull together so that we could afford a decent coffee machine during our studies… seeing as we are all coffee lovers! I guess we all need that instant pick-me-up in the morning. We chose the Dolce Gusto coffee machine after friends of ours recommended this model and amazon gave it pretty good reviews too!     Over Christmas I got many fun toys but one that I really enjoy even after Christmas as the novelty hasn’t worn off is my Nescafe Dolce Gusto. I am not a coffee obsesee but I do love hot drinks and that is what this machine provides me with. It is a great price for what it does and is so fast it saves a lot of times and when I’m in the mood for a nice hot drink I can always rely on this little machine to do the work for me while I sit in amazement watching it get to work.     My parents bought my husband the Krups Piccolo coffee maker for his birthday and it has gone down a treat. They certainly aren't the cheapest things on the planet, but the end result is so worth the initial outlay. Whilst my parents do like my husband, they didn't like the price tag of the machine which is between £80 and £100 (depending on where you get it from), which is how he ended up with the red one.     ~ The Purchase ~ I don't really like coffee, however my fiancé does. So, we ended up with this coffee machine. He bought it at the end of February, and I only started using it myself at the end of last month upon discovering that it makes hot chocolate too! ~ Price ~ My fiancé paid around the £60 mark for this I believe.     After last years festive period everyone seemed to of had coffee machines so I got to sample homemade coffee's which were as good as Nero or Costa coffee. I proceeded in the New Year to scour the sale and get myself one.     Advantages Advantages Makes brilliant coffee quickly, easily and with no mess. Very attractive.

    I decided that, as I loved coffee, I should buy a coffee machine. Then began the questions. What type? What do you want it for? How many people will be using it?Firstly, I should say that this coffee machine appealed to me as it was small (I have very little space in my kitchen) and relatively cheap.     I have always been a sucker for coffee machines, I think that they are great, and that you couldn't get anything better than these. So I bought this Nescafe one, and I am glad I did, as it is quick and easy to operate, and you need little effort to make hot drinks such use, coffee, hot chocolate.
