Advantages: Smooth in flavour Disadvantages: Price
...purchase a large jar of Nescafe Gold Blend. Why in particular Nescafe Gold? Well it was a sort of indirect recommendation from my local Indian Restaurant; I have eaten there many times and like to end the meal with a coffee laced with cream, I even bought a filter machine to try and replicate the flavour of what I thought was a fresh coffee but couldn’t understand why my coffee was always tepid in temperature whist theirs was hot. So on my next visit ... ...their closely guarded secret * Nescafe Gold Blend *
So there I had it the secret of good coffee! Although I was fooled into thinking we had consumed a filter coffee I would not say that it is as good, and after curry the taste buds are slightly insensitive to flavours, but I would say it measure up very favourably for an instant alternative but over priced.

Advantages: Smooth To Drink, Quality Aroma Disadvantages: Stigma Of The Old Gold Blend Ad's!
...Gold Blend is made by Nescafe and I would suggest that Gold Blend is still one of Nescafe's premium instant coffee's despite all the new varieties that have been launched in recent years. Still packaged in a glass jar with a shaped gold twisting lid, the packaging is identical to many of the other premium coffee's made by Nescafe at the present time.

So, down to the nitty gritty, hands up who wants a cuppa?
Opening the jar you get a wonderful aroma of ground coffee, even though this is an instant coffee, it isn't a strong, overwhelming smell but it certainly does give you an immediate hit of the aroma which you will be drinking in a few moments time. The granules are of a normal sized hen compared to normal, branded instant coffee, but the colour ...

...world (well, nearly) - Nescafe Gold Blend. :o) And it's unfortunate for Marks wallet that my favourite thing in the world is one of the most expensive instant coffee's on the market. And I drink a lot of coffee......... I usually put the cost of the product at the end of the op but the sheer cheek of Nescafe for charging £3.59 for a 200g jar of coffee has forced the pricing details to the top of the op! Standard Nescafe is around £2.69 for 200g and ... ...a huge price increase when Nescafe is known as one of the best coffee manufacturers anyway! Rant over, on with the op. :o)
Gold Blend is one of the huge variety of coffee's produced by Nescafe. Nescafe was first introduced in Switzerland in 1938 and has since grown to be one of the largest and most well respected brands on the market.

...am the UK’s No 1 Nescafe Gold Blend Fan. I started drinking Coffee when I was around 12, after discovering that black and sugarless it had no calories, needless to say, my tender taste-buds couldn’t quite handle this experience and I used to pump it full of sugar and milk, then as I grew upwards and outwards, sweeteners – I religiously used to boil up the milk every evening, spoon in the coffee and away I went.
During my teens I managed to lose ... ...cup after cup of strong Nescafe original with skimmed milk and sweeteners, until the day I travelled to Germany and my mum stopped me taking the sweeteners in case the Customs Officers thought they were drugs and confiscated them and arrested me, so started the experience of drinking it with no sugar. Of course, it was still Nescafe Original in those days, and then a friend introduced me to Gold Blend as he point blank refused to drink anything else. ...
