5 Stars Nescafe Original Review with images 24/01/2013

Advantages Advantages Great tasting coffee, high quality, Nescafe aroma.

Disadvantages Disadvantages A more expensive brand.

Introduction I must admit I am not a big drinker of coffee, though when I do indulge I always drink Nescafe as it is usually what the other members of my family prefer. I have tasted other brands of coffee, so although I am writing this as not a coffee connoiseur, I have experienced other varieties and can therefore compare and give merit where it is due. Nescafe do range a wide variety of coffee, whether you prefer Gold Blend, Original or Decaf, there is a drink for you. Nescafe certainly are one of the biggest names when it comes to coffee. I imagine most people have come across the brand at ... more

Advantages Advantages Good tasting for an instant cuppa

Disadvantages Disadvantages Maybe not the cheapest

Much has been written about coffee, its place in social history and domestic science. Let’s just say that even instant coffee has been around for over 100 years and Nescafe Original (as the name implies) is one of the best established brands here in the UK and elsewhere. This brief review just focuses on the ‘everyday’ granular version that I normally buy in 200g jars: my favourite daily ‘tipple’ of the non-alcoholic variety. A mug on the go from dawn to dusk From my first ‘Nescaf’ before breakfast to the last around ‘tea’-time, I probably exceed the recommended maximum, which I’ve heard may ... more

    Advantages Advantages smells good

Disadvantages Disadvantages leaves a horrible aftertaste

It seems to have gotten colder again recently, which always entices me to want a hot drink sat on my table rather than a cold one. I am definitely a big tea drinker when it comes down to preference but lately having been so tired at work and being very busy, I have felt the need for caffeine to keep me going. I don't like a strong coffee but if it is quite milky then I don't mind opting for it and if I have to choose any brand, I normally do tend to buy Nescafe Original. As well as at home, it's the brand we also have at the office that I find myself constantly using. PACKAGING The Nescafe ... more

Advantages Advantages good price for a decent taste

    Disadvantages Disadvantages not the best

Nescafe Original I finally got around to trying this Nescafe original as it was one coffee that I had yet to try in my new found love of the rich drink. I have been getting through quite a lot of the stuff lately and to be honest I don't find that coffee is that cheaper drink especially for the nicer tasting ones. However I was able to pick up a small jar of this Nescafe Original in my local Pound Stretcher shop for a mere 99 pence and thought that I would give it a try as I was running short on other instant coffees in my cupboard and for a 150 gram glass jar this was a really good price for ... more

    Advantages Advantages Great coffee! :)

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit more expensive when not on offer.

Nescafe original How I came by it On a bumble up to Morrison's for something to eat for the nights dinner. My Husband mumbled something about lack of coffee in the house and that I'd turn into Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde from lack of a caffine fix. This surprised me as he normally doesn't notice much the contents of our cupboards unless its guinea pig food or beer. He quickly fetched Nescafe Original and I fetched Kenco and we stood there having a mild marital spate in the middle of Morrison's. The nescafe soon won over as it had 50% extra in the jar and was selling for the bargain price of £4 ... more

Advantages Advantages Great taste, good price, readily available

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Nescafe Original I am not the biggest coffee drinker, I do not drink coffee every day but I like to have it as a treat now and then. This is the brand that I associate with every day coffee drinking and I think that by far it is the best of its type. Nescafe can be found in all supermarkets and convenience stores across the UK. If I have my coffee warm as many do I like to have it milky (semi-skimmed milk) with one sugar, obviously people’s taste are individual so the way they take their coffee will be different to my preference, for my specific coffee drinking habit it is a relatively low ... more

Advantages Advantages Great container, Nice Aroma

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bit of an after taste, Caffeine

I am not a big coffee drinker. I prefer tea. However when I stay away from home, and the water/milk is different, I can always tell and my tea doesn't taste the same. For this reason, I always bring with me a bottle of nescafe original. The Nescafe Original range comes in a number of sizes. These are 50g, 100g,200g,300g,500g and the whopping 750g. These of course vary in price,. The smallest from around the £1.50 figure to the largest at about a fifteen pounds. I a reviewing the 50g version, which I used on my travels recently. It cost me £1.56 from Tesco. The Nescafe original comes in a clear ... more

Advantages Advantages Fresh, great tasting coffee in an instance

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not as strongly flavoured for some pallates

thought I would write a review on my favourite coffee as it is Nescafe that I am supping as I write this. Being a bit of coffee connoisseur ie having tried pretty much all the instant coffees out there; from Dowe Egberts to Supermarkets own brands I always return to my favourite Nescafe Original instant coffee. I find the flavour to be smooth and not bitter like many coffees out there. It is enjoyable both with milk and without and it is the only brand that I enjoy dinking nowadays. ~~The Look~~ The jar is nicely ergonomically shaped and in thick glass and keeps the coffee very fresh right ... more
