Advantages Advantages Leaves my coffee hot and creamy

Disadvantages Disadvantages leaves your mouth feeling dry and can leave a white residue on your tongue

I've been a morning coffee drinker now since about 2005, ever since my experience of living in the USA. Over in the US hardly anyone uses proper milk in their coffee, it's all about the powdered options. When I came home in 2006 of course I made my coffee with milk as it is traditionally done here in the UK, up until last year that is when I decided to give coffee mate a try. Now this powder comes in both an original option and a light original option, but I'm not overly concious when it comes to milky products, always choosing the full fat option, so this review is based on the full fat ... more

Advantages Advantages Long Life, creamy and tasty

Disadvantages Disadvantages None really but can go lumpy if not used in a very hot drink

I've been reminded to write a review on Coffee mate after reading an amusing article in the paper a couple of months ago. Apparently a Tory MP on a trekking holiday was held at gunpoint after armed soldiers discovered a package of white powder in his rucksack. Highly suspicious, they assumed it was cocaine. Despite his pleas that it was only Coffee Mate, they didn't understand and forced him to eat it. It was only after he'd eaten several mouthfuls of the stuff that they believed him. It's funny, but I remember having done exactly the same thing myself. Not being held by armed guards, but ... more

Advantages Advantages A quick easy way to a creamy cup of coffee.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Nothing major

How many times have you been caught out? The milk is running low and there's no time to nip out to the shops and then the doorbell rings, this is when a jar of Nestle Coffeemate is worth its weight in gold. I used to keep some of those individual pots of coffee cream in for the unexpected but to be honest Coffeemate is a far better proposition. Nestle have more than one Coffeemate to offer us nowadays, there is the ordinary version, the virtually fat free type , Coffeemate original and Coffeemate Latte Creations Vanilla. I had never even heard of the last one on the list! But it is a whitening ... more

Advantages Advantages Quick convenient saves waste

    Disadvantages Disadvantages EEEEEEEE

The demise of the milkman regularly leaving my regular pint on my doorstep before I arose in the morning led to all manner of difficulties. The most aggravating of these was going to the fridge for milk for my early morning cup of coffee only to find that one of my sons had completely drained the bottle and generally put the empty bottle back in the fridge to further irritate me. I am not a lover of black coffee and being reduced to consuming my favourite brew in this condition put me in a thoroughly black mood for the whole day. I tried buying bigger cartons and long life milk but to no avail ... more

I bought Nestle’s Coffee Mate Original about a month ago in Sainsbury's. I use it regularly but today is the day when I have enough time to write a review about it. I wanted to bake Hokkaido milk-loaf and I needed some milk powder in it. I was wondering which brand to choose, but as I trust Nestle products I decided to buy this one. At the end of my review I will share the recipe of this wonderful milk-loaf. Unfortunately I have no photos, but next time I bake it I will make some photos and I’ll enclose. So back to this great product, I tried it in coffee as well. It has very nice texture ... more

Nestle Coffee Mate Being a relatively new drinker of coffee and still wanting to find that perfect brand and type of coffee to make up the best drink possible, I am also keen to try out all the products that go along with the coffee such as brown sugar and of course this Nestle Coffee Mate. I picked up a jar of this product in my local Morrison's on my weekly shop and paid a not too cheap but still reasonable £2.49 pence for the 500 gram sized product. It was a little more than I did want to pay for a product such as this but on the other hand I was keen to try it out and couldn't help myself ... more

Now you all know me ( well most of you do ) and you all know that I am a self confessed coffee addict. I will praise good coffee and slag bad coffee off so badly I could probably be sued for libel, or slander ( which ever is the written one !! ). Thus far I have written ops on other Nestlé coffee products namely Nescafe, Nescafe Cappuccino and Nescafe Coffee in a Can to name a few. While the Cappuccino sachets and the cr*p in a can got rather bad reviews from me I did give the thumbs up to normal Nescafe so I though why not even the score and write about not just another Nestlé product but a ... more

Advantages Advantages It makes the coffee taste creamy

    Disadvantages Disadvantages n/a

I only drink coffee on the very odd occasion but I only ever liked cream in it. I have found a great substitute for it now called coffee mate that has a longer life than cream but tastes just as good. It comes in a red plastic container or a red box depending on the one you buy, it also comes in a blue box which is apparently coffee mate light. Inside the container you will find what looks like a creamy coloured flour and there is a distinct dairy smell on opening of the lid. If you buy the box then you get a foil bag inside containing the powder, I would say that this probably keeps the ... more

Advantages Advantages Produces a great tasting, smooth, creamy coffee thats quick and easy to make

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Ghastly nutritional info

I remember the first time I tried this stuff, It was when I was doing a roofing job with my uncle, we popped to the local bakers and he asked for a Coffee with Coffee Mate and I was like "whats that??". He told me it was an alternative to milk and makes your coffee milky white and creamy. On this note I decided to try it and ever since I've been enjoying Coffee Mate on and off for years. To describe Coffee Mate is easy... its basically a whitey / yellow sort of powder that you add to your coffee as a milk alternative. It advises you on the packaging to use 2 tea spoons of Coffee Mate per cup ... more

Advantages Advantages Great tasty substitute for milk

Disadvantages Disadvantages None - I love it!

I first discovered Coffee Mate last year when dog sitting for my mum and dad. My mum isn't the best shopper in the world, as I discovered when making a coffee, only to find there wasn't any milk in the fridge. However, sat next to the coffee jar was a tin of Nestle Coffee Mate. Not too keen on trying it, I resolved that it would do until we bought some milk. I don't know why I wasn't keen on the coffee mate. I remember having it in a drink years ago and it was tasteless and didn't melt into the coffee, so there were little white bits floating on the top. However, it's obvious that Coffee Mate ... more
