New! is a weekly-published celebrity gossip magazine. It runs under the banner of "IF IT'S HOT, IT'S HERE" and yes, it's yet another of those celebrity gossip magazines what seem be overflowing on our newsagents' shelving nowadays. There literally seems to be a new title every other week, and every new publication seems to get nastier and more scurrilous than it's competitor. New! New is the latest in a long list of what can broadly be defined as celebrity magazines. By this I mean the bulk of the magazine covers all the goings on in celebville that particular week but there are other sections such as fashion, beauty, TV etc. I like to have a magazine to look over during my lunch hour and I bought this one because it was the cheapest at 60p (normally such magazines range between £1 and £1.50). As I get nearer and nearer to the end of term I've found that my student loan is rapidly evaporating... I mean I can't possibly have spent £140 shopping last weekend... Digging into the pile of magazines I bought the previous week, I fumbled across a copy of New! Magazine, this one dated December 2008. I had initially bought the magazine because of the cover stories; news of celebrity 'bumps', and an article about Jade Goody. I could only hope the rest of the articles seemed as promising inside, as this was the first time I had bought a copy of New!
