Has the Next Directory - usually a "shiny star" in the mail order clothing/furnishing world - become a victim of its own success? A few months ago I would have given nothing but praise for this rapidly expanding mail-order company but having recently received some appalling customer service and been fobbed off with some completely misleading information, I am beginning to wonder if they're beginning to let their usual, excellent standards slip. ...

I think the NEXT directory is simply the best way to shop from home. I have used it for about two and a half years now and I wouldn't be without it! ~~~The Initial Cost~~~ Unlike other catalogues, you do have to pay for the NEXT Directory, but at just £3.50 I think this is reasonable. Next day delivery is also charged at £3.75, although you could have your order delivered direct to your local store for free. It is possibe to call customer services ...

The Next Directory has to be one of the nicer looking catalogues out there today. Next is a well known high street store that sells clothes, homeware, furniture & 'stuff' (such as wrapping paper, smellies..). There is usually a Next store in most towns and they also provide a catalogue, although Next refer to it as a Directory. I have always liked Next for their clothes, even more so since I have had children. I am now a proud owner of a Next Directory and use it often. It is true that you have to pay a couple of pounds for your directory and their is a £2.95 charge for delivery. But that is one charge per delivery not item. There is also free returns to take into account and next day delivery! No more waiting for nearly a month, like you do with some other catalogues. ...
...in price. I find that Next are actually cheaper than some other high street stores and the quality and style of the clothing is much better. I also like the fact that in the baby sizes they offer a 6-9 month size and a 9-12 month size unlike some other stores.
