    Advantages Advantages Smells Incredible

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can dry hair out.

Hmmm.... this product does prove difficult. As I have the product, I was keen to see what other people thought of it and have read their reviews. I personally think they were a little too judgemental as my experience of it wasn't all that bad.... it wasn't fantastic either though mind. I'm one of those people that closely believes in the ideology that with some products, if you stick with one thing too long, it loses its impact. And I still maintain that I'm right as using this product as a break away from Nicky Clarke's other products (some of which are truly fantastic). So with my curious ... more

    Advantages Advantages Nice smell

Disadvantages Disadvantages Pricey for what it is; Doesn't fulfill promises

It's only quite recently that I decided to go brown. My natural hair colour is quite mousey, and for the past four years I've been a (fake) blonde. However, I started to get bored with the look, and took the plunge to go a nice chocolate brown. I love my new colour, but I've found that it does fade quite quickly. I don't always have the time to get it re-dyed every 6 weeks, so I've been on the look-out for a miracle shampoo which will preserve my colour. Nicky Clarke Colour Therapy Sweet Like Chocolate See Me Colour and Shine Shampoo (wow what a mouthful!) was the first shampoo that I came ... more

Advantages Advantages Smells gorgeous and not too pricey

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can make a bit of a mess of your shower

I am never happy buying the same shampoo over and over again as I always feel that perhaps there is another product out there that could make my hair better and if I don't try new ones then I'll never find it. Anyway, I was in the supermarket looking for my next shampoo and conditioner and was about to settle on the last one I used, until I saw this one, Nicky Clarke Colour Therapy 'Sweet Like Chocolate'. There it was, cheaper than the one I was originally going to buy and looking quite alluring in it's see through packaging. Also, the word 'chocolate' in its name got me hooked. When I next ... more

Advantages Advantages Saves me from stylist's coloring bills

Disadvantages Disadvantages None - hmm - maybe hair is a teensy bit redder

I picked up a bottle of this in Ireland last August. I wash my hair every three days, and I probably use this as my shampoo 75% of the time. I think it's great. I have a few gray hairs - not complaining, I'm over 40 - and I used to pay my hairdresser $60 +$12 tip to color it with some "organic" stuff that lasted six weeks. I haven't had to pay to color my hair since August (i.e. six months ago), and it's not like the mess of home coloring stuff with the gloves, ruined towels, waiting time, etc. The bottle cost 6 Euros, and there's still at least 2 months worth in the bottle. I like the ... more

Advantages Advantages Lovely smell, adds a nice sheen

Disadvantages Disadvantages Makes a bit of a mess

I decided to buy this shampoo because i'm a sucker for packaging, and this caught my eye, with the rich chocolate coloured shampoo glistening in the long bottle shouting "buy me buy me!". I also liked the title and the idea of having chocolate flavoured hair. This shampoo smells utterly divine, like chocolate orange. It doesn't taste like it though so don't try a bit like i did, on the off chance that it might. It lathers quite well, although i did have to use more than i usually would. Afterwards, following conditioning, my hair was very shiny with a kind of chestnut sheen (my hair is ... more

Advantages Advantages Smells delicious, orange and chocolate!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Dries hair out.

I read about Nicky Clarke's 'sweet like chocolate' shampoo (and conditioner) in one of the leading womens glossy magazines. It promised to condition and enrich brown hair with extra colour and shine. The shampoo itself looked lovely - all creamy and actually looked like melted chocolate. The smell was divine - bitter oranges and chocolate. It really lived up to its name! However, on applying the shampoo to my hair the first problem was the colour. Bright orange splashes covered the bath and surrounding tiles and the water ran orange when the shampoo was rinsed out of my hair. It was a mess. It ... more
