I have stop/started smoking numerous times!, and often with the help of patches. Just remember that all the patches do is give you your drug in a different form (nicotine). The 30's are full strength and can give you very wacky dreams! They certainly stop the craving while wearing them. My husband has finally given up smoking with the help of nicotinell patches He had been smoking for approximately 25 years and thought that patches would be useless.He decided to go to the practise nurse and started the program on January the first. The first patches were 24 hour 30mg for approximately 3 weeks .Then 20 mg for 3 weeks and finally the 16 hour patches although these were not as successful.
