Half professional equipment

Advantages: Many useful functions
Disadvantages: Rubber covers to facilitate holding the camera just unstacked from the body.

I bought this camera 3 years ago and since this time I have taken thousands of pictures. The camera is a half professional equipment which means it could be used in both professional and unprofessional fields. Personally I like this camera very much. It has many useful functions (extended white balance function, bracketing, image overlay, interval timer shooting, etc). It has good shutter speed up to 1/8000 sec and wide range of ISO 100-1600 (up ...
...formats: RAW which gives you uncompressed pictures and popular JPEG (3 levels). 10.2 million effective pixels gives you image size up to 3872-2592. I like its big (2.5") and with high resolution (230.000 pixels) LCD monitor. You can see your pictures in really good quality. Its body made from magnesium alloy is well designed. You can very easily reach all buttons and knobs. I do not recommend you to buy SIGMA lens DC 18-200 as I found it is very ...

Quality Nikon D200

Advantages: Good picture Quality, Fast shutter speed, excellent build and quality
Disadvantages: can be a little big to carry everywhere with you, takes time to get to grips with all the settings

The Nikon D200 is an exceptional piece of equipment, and for those of you who have owned one or are still using the D200 will know what I am talking about. The build quality is just outstanding, I have dropped my D200 numerous times and it is still solid and taking excellent pictures. The speed of the camera is also pretty good, shooting at 5fps you are sure to capture all the action. The 10.2 megapixels will give you outsatnding picture quality ...
...be able to get the Nikon D200 at the fraction of the price I paid for it 3 Years ago (£850). It will take time to get use to all the different setting and controls, but the instruction manual will get you well on your way to mastering the D200. I will never regret buying my nikon D200, it is an awesome piece of equipment. ...

Nikon D200

Advantages: Short Cut Menus
Disadvantages: A little small for larger hands

...the imaging capabilities of the Nikon beats the S2 outright as its a 6 mega pixel camera verus 10 mega pixel. There are short-cut functions in the top of the body such as ISO and white balance settings so there is no need to search through the menus to find these. Initially this camera may seem daunting due to the vastness of the menus, but some guidance from the well written instruction booklet and the Nikon website the camera can be easily set ...
...this camera a little small to grip on its own, but with the base grip accessory this makes for a good size to hold and looks more like a professional body. Overall I am thoroughly please with my purchase and can rely on this is in rain or shine to get the images I require! ...

Click, high quality camera!

Advantages: 10.92MegaPixel
Disadvantages: Lack of lenses!

"Nikon's new prestigious D200 is ideal for those looking for a camera to bridge the gap between the professional and the entry level Digital SLRs. The D200 delivers the incomparable quality of professional pictures whilst offering exceptional versatility, creative responsiveness, accuracy and full manual control. The D200 is the perfect camera for the semi-professional and freelancer who want an affordable SLR that integrates the right portion of ...
...but don't you think that that just says it all? I do! Warning: The D200 is supplied without a lens This camera offers great photos with it's 10.9Megapixel's and a 2.5"ACL screen 230,000 pixels Low temperature polysilicium TFT screen, there is no digital zoom but there is optical zoom but that depends upon the lens. With this cameras price, I would have thought that it came with video but that is sadly not true, the camera however has a CompactFlash ...

Nikon D200 - is it still worth ?

Advantages: Metering, low ISO performance, image quality, build quality
Disadvantages: dynamic range, noise in high ISO

Nikon D200 was launched in late 2005 and since been replaced by its worthy successor, the D300. The question is, whether it is still worthwhile to invest in D200? IMHO, it still is, especially if you are shifting from film to digital. The buld quality and handling of D200 is exceptionally good; so is the metering and image quality. Colour rendition, in my opinion, is a bit more saturated but that can always be tweaked in PS. The area where D200 ...

Nikon D200: A great all rounder

Advantages: Super build Quality: Opens up the world of Nikon.
Disadvantages: Non: Just don't put cheap lenses on it...

...ended up with Nikon. The Nikon D200 is an easy to use SLR body with a wealth of features that are hidden in menus if you ever want to use them. It's the sort of camera that would be easy to use out of the box without the instruction book. Results: On the standard settings, the images this camera produces are lovely and punchy and hardly need any editing afterwards. It may be slightly pricier than some other models but this is a semi-pro model ...
