MY SON WAS GIVEN A NINTENDO GAMEBOY POCKET FOR HIS BIRTHDAY ABOUT A MONTH AGO. HE IS OBSESSED WITH IT, HE PLAYS IT MORNING, DAY AND NIGHT. I THOUGHT IT WOULD COST ME ALOT IN BATTERIES BUT HE USES THE MAINS ADAPTOR WHEN HE IS AT HOME AND IS PORTABLE WITH BATTERIES WHEN HE IS OUT. IT IS A VERY HANDY SIZE TO TRAVEL WITH, AND THERE IS A WIDE SELECTION OF GAMES AVAILABLE AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE. THE PICTURE QUALITY IS QUITE GOOD, BUT I CAN'T COMPARE IT WITH OTHER COLOUR GAMEBOYS AS I HAVEN'T SEEN ONE, AND QUITE FRANKLY FOR THE PRICE OF THIS GAMEBOY POCKET, I THINK IT IS EXTREMELY GOOD VALUE FOR ... more

This is just great for the kids, they will never put this down and it keeps them occupied for ages! Small and portable extremely useful for car journeys or if they get bored easily! Take rechargeable batteries and you will never need to replace any thing I have had mine ages and it works like it is brand new. It has well known games such as Pokemon and Zelda. Nintendo Gameboy Pocket is the best handheld console on the market apart from the Color version. The Gameboy needs only 2 AAA batteries or you can even use the recharble battery pack which i used. Compared to the old gameboy, there has been alot of changes made. Firstly the pocket is much smaller than the original. It also has a much larger screen which is funny as the pocket is smaller than the original. The gameboy pocket is much litter than the big bulky old one. The screen is better quality. It only takes two AAA batteries and they will last you about 4 hours max. The gameboy colour games are compatible with it. The game teteris is a must for all gamers and is very addictive. The pocket gameboy cost around £50 with super mario bros 1 and 2 and a carry case. i like this console as it has a superb screen and is small and compact it can be used with most of gameboy accseories! it looks and plays great. you can take it anywhere!!!!!!!! just great graphics sums the whole thing up. i bought a special game boy pocket travel bundle for £45!!! exellent value for money.lots of gams work on it proving to be a brilliant handheld console on the market at this minute. a exelent console at this minute. it proved brilliant graphics when i put a few new games in. ... more

This, in my opinion, is the best Game Boy. The Game Boy Pocket is smaller than the Game Boy Classic and Game Boy Color and it has a better screen. It's the perfect size to slip into my blazer pocket ready to get in some Pokémon training at school. It also plays all the Game Boy games (not Game Boy Color games, obviously) so it has a massive library of some of the best games ever made. This is another success for Nintendo, and it comes in a variety of fruity flavours.
