Take a look at my puppies!

Advantages: fun, addictive, enjoyable for all, good graphics & sound
Disadvantages: requires verbal commands making you look weird, can only enter contests 3 times a day

Nintendogs is a game for the Nintendo DS which is a portable, handheld games console. The DS (or DS Lite which is the newest version) folds in half to make it compact and when opened it has two screens. The top screen is simply a screen, whereas the bottom screen is a touch screen where you can interact with it using your fingers or the pen stylus. There are a few buttons either side of the bottom screen although the main concept behind Nintendo ...
...intuitively therefore these buttons are rarely used with many games. The game Nintendogs has been highly publicised on television adverts showing adults enjoying playing with cute puppy dogs!! The Nintendogs game is not actually mine, it was a Christmas present for my 9 year old brother who also got the Nintendo DS console for Christmas. However, since he has had it I have played on it at every opportunity!! The game is similar to the old virtual ...

Nintendo is a Japanese-based company who manufacture a wide variety of video games. In 2004, the Nintendo DS was released, with the DS Lite following shortly afterwards. This handheld console has two screens when you open it out, with just a select few buttons. The bottom of the screen is a touch screen, and you can use this feature with the stylus provided. This makes game play more fun, and many of the games created for the DS have touch features ...
...a very popular game too. It comes in various forms; Dachshund and friends, Labrador and friends, Chihuahua and friends, and Dalmatian and friends. The 'friends' part refers to the other dogs you get in that pack. For example if you buy the Dachshund, you do not only have to play with a Dachshund puppy, but perhaps a Golden Retriever or a Boxer. I'd set my heart on buying a Nintendogs game ever since I got a DS, but I never did seem to get round ...

A Best Friend You Can Carry In Your Pocket

Advantages: Incredible graphics & Sound, Very cute puppies as well!
Disadvantages: Can make you look stupid saying "Sit" to your DS every minute!

===What Is It?=== Nintendogs is the first in one of the most popular games Nintendo has ever made. Released in 2005 it is still going very strongly, becoming one of Nintendo's most popular games. This is the Dalmation and Friends version I am reviewing. ===Why Buy It?=== I got it for my Christmas, and I had been thinking of buying a Nintendogs game for a while now. There were a couple of reasons to buy it. First if you have always wanted a dog ...
...cannot give up the time needed to have a dog etc.) then this would be a really fun game to have. Second if you just like animals in general and want something fun to do in your spare time. And third if you want a game where a lot of DS players already have then great, this is one of the DS's most top selling games, even after two years of its release. ===What Is It Compatible With?=== Nintendogs game is compatible with the Nintendo DS (Or DS Lite) ...

Give a virtual dog a home

Advantages: Great graphics
Disadvantages: Addictive

==Give a dog a home…== Ok, not a really one but a virtual one.. Nintendogs has been around since 2005, but remains one of the most popular games for the DS. Not only is it popular but it is extremely addictive! I recently purchased a DS along with this game after having a go on my nieces' game! The game is available in 4 different breed versions, the version I am reviewing is the Dalmation and friends, also available is Dachshund, Chihuahua and ...
...with, however this can be extended once trainer points increase or you interact with your friends via bark mode. ==Choosing Your Puppy== Initially when you insert the game you are given some money and the first stop is at the kennels where you can choose from some of the breeds available to you. For each breed there are three different dogs, some male some female, each have their own personalities so it is worthwhile looking at all the dogs before ...

Nintendogs rocks!

Advantages: see review
Disadvantages: few

For Christmas we bought my 5-year-old son a Nintendo DS.After much research and reading reviews on Dooyoo, we opted to buy the game of Nintendogs to go with his DS. Nintendogs comes in different versions and we choose the Dalmatian version as I thought the cover looked sweet! The game. ************* The box says that this game is suitable for ages 3 and over. However I would say that its suitable for ages 5 and over as not many 3 years old would ...
...basically about looking after your virtual puppy. To start the game you get to choose from 6 different breeds. My son's version let him chose between Dalmatian, Boxer, Labrador, Beagle, German shepherd and Yorkshire terrier. He decided on a Dalmatian. The next stage is for the player to name their dog. It is best to choose something simple, as you will be using your voice through the microphone to get your dog to come when you call its name. This ...

Nintedogs - Mans Best Friend in 3D

Advantages: The ability to look after your very own Puppy =)
Disadvantages: The story line ... it really needs improving.

...Dog Breeds available in Nintendogs: Dalmation and friends (Without using bark mode) -Beagle -Golden retriever (I personally love this puppy. They are so soft and cuddly ^_^) -Yorkshire terrier -German Sheperd -Boxer -Dalmation (Hence the games title, or can be unlocked in other versions by obtaining the Fireman's hat). Nintendogs - Dalmation & Friends (NDS)

Advantages: Great fun for any age
Disadvantages: None that i can think of

I got this game a couple of months ago and i'm still hooked. It is great fun and is for all ages. I play it myself as does my 2.5 year old son so the opportunity is endless! It is a simple yet stimulating game that will keep you entertained for months! It is also great for younger children as it teaches them the responsability of looking after a pet. From feeding to bathing, walking to training this game will never get boring. Once you have trained ...

If you manage to get a good rating from the judges then you recieve cash prizes which you use to buy the latest products for your pets. After taking your dog to the park you can also enter disc competitions for your chance to win more cash prizes. The final competition you can enter your dog into is the agility trial. You can only enter this after you have taken your dog ...

A high tech tamagotchi

Advantages: Decent graphics
Disadvantages: Far too much like a high tech tamagotchi

I've already reviewed the Labrador version of this game and as I've played all of them the reviews are going to be almost identical. The only difference between the different versions are the type of dogs available for you to select from. In this review I'll just do a short summary of the problems I explained in the Labrador review. If you're looking for something more than a high tech tamagotchi you will not find it here. In this game you do the ...
...etc. You can also enter competitions for which you will have to train your dog quite a bit which is rather tedious otherwise you have no chance of winning. If you win you can then use this money to buy the dog treats, toys etc. Voice recognition is a problem, you may find that having selected a name for your dog and had your pronunciation of it saved to the DS, that the DS will not pick it up when you say it meaning you can go no further as the ...

Doggy dreamland isnt for everyone

Advantages: Great for passing time
Disadvantages: Can get a litle boring for some types of gamers out there

Nintendogs is quite an interesting game. I think i would best describe this as a pet simulator much like the tamagochi was a few years ago. I have to be 100% honest here and say that this game is not for everyone, Of course if you are a huge fan of pet games then you will indeed live off this game. If you are a dog lover then you will also take to this game like fish to water. For gamers with only a slight interest in it, then it could go 2 ways. ...
...and play it the way you want, either all the time or on occasion or you could also become very tired of it and pretty soon stop playing it all together, It depends entirely on your tastes. Needless to say if you go out of your way to buy this game, chances are you are actually going to enjoy since it interested you enough for you to buy. The game itself is quite realistic, things like waking your dog on walks and entering it in competitions are ...

Nintendogs Dalmatian and Friends - Nintendo DS

Advantages: Really clever and original gameplay
Disadvantages: Voice recognition can be a bit erratic

Very enjoyable especially for all you dog lovers out there and easier to keep than a real dog. In the Dalmatian version of this game you can choose from some of the bigger breeds such as Boxer, German Shepherd and Golden Retriever. The graphics are great and will have you going gooey eyed over your new puppy. Many different commands and actions are included in this game, including voice recognition. I did find sometimes the voice recognition wasn't ...
...real dogs who don't listen to a word I say. Very intuitive training for your puppy will have it rolling over and begging before you know it. Many different ideas such as toys, grooming and wireless connection so your friends can play with their nintendogs make it a great game for all ages. ...

Nintendogs Dalmation and friends

Advantages: Entertaining and makes good use of touch screen and voice recognition
Disadvantages: Can easily tire of the game

Nintendogs is a simulation game where you choose a puppy and take it for walks, feed it, bath it, buy it toys and enter it in competition. At the beginning you can choose froma variety of different breeds; Dalmation, Boxer, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Yorkshire Terrier and Beagle. As you progress you can unlock other breeds, such as Jack Russell and Shiba Inu. You can also unlock toys and items for your puppies. When you first play the game ...
...and personality of your puppy, and teching it it's name. But after a while you run out of things to do. You can walk your puppy and enter competitions (but you can only enter 3 a day). Overall, more for the younger generation, as there isn't a lot of things to do on it. But still very entertaining with voice recognition and good usage of the touch screen/microphone technology. ...
