Nintendogs is a game for the Nintendo DS which is a portable, handheld games console. The DS (or DS Lite which is the newest version) folds in half to make it compact and when opened it has two screens. The top screen is simply a screen, whereas the bottom screen is a touch screen where you can...

dogs that don't get old - ever - I mean really??

They say, don't they, that you shouldn't get a dog for Christmas, but when said dog is a virtual one for the ds platform, I think an exception can be made! We bought this particular Nintendogs, the dalmatian version, simply because at the time it was the cheapest one on sale - you can buy the...

Its a fun game for all ages

It requires a lot of time

Okay, so I may be a grown woman but I couldn't help but fall in love with this game. When I was heavily pregnant my partner bought this game along with a Nintendo DS to keep me occupied. Now I don't know if this was because he was sick of me waddling around the house moaning, or because he...

What Is It? Nintendogs is the first in one of the most popular games Nintendo has ever made. Released in 2005 it is still going very strongly, becoming one of Nintendo's most popular games. This is the Dalmation and Friends version I am reviewing. Why Buy It? I got it for my Christmas, and I had...

Nintendo is a Japanese-based company who manufacture a wide variety of video games. In 2004, the Nintendo DS was released, with the DS Lite following shortly afterwards. Addictive

Give a dog a home… Ok, not a really one but a virtual one.. Nintendogs has been around since 2005, but remains one of the most popular games for the DS. Not only is it popular but it is extremely addictive! I recently purchased a DS along with this game after having a go on my nieces' game! The...

For Christmas we bought my 5-year-old son a Nintendo DS.After much research and reading reviews on Dooyoo, we opted to buy the game of Nintendogs to go with his DS. Nintendogs comes in different versions and we choose the Dalmatian version as I thought the cover looked sweet! The game...

The ability to look after your very own Puppy =)

The story line ... it really needs improving.

I first got this game as a christmas present in 2006, and let me just say it really made me smile =) As an animal lover, Nintendo opened my heart to the wonderful world of looking after animals, and the fact that most of the game is 3D makes it so much better than the old fashioned 'Tamagotchis'...

Great fun for any age

None that i can think of

I got this game a couple of months ago and i'm still hooked. It is great fun and is for all ages. I play it myself as does my 2.5 year old son so the opportunity is endless! It is a simple yet stimulating game that will keep you entertained for months! It is also great for younger children as it...

“A high tech tamagotchi”

published 01/09/2008

Decent graphics

Far too much like a high tech tamagotchi

I've already reviewed the Labrador version of this game and as I've played all of them the reviews are going to be almost identical. The only difference between the different versions are the type of dogs available for you to select from. In this review I'll just do a short summary of the...

Nintendogs is quite an interesting game. I think i would best describe this as a pet simulator much like the tamagochi was a few years ago. I have to be 100% honest here and say that this game is not for everyone, Of course if you are a huge fan of pet games then you will indeed live off this...

Really clever and original gameplay

Voice recognition can be a bit erratic

Very enjoyable especially for all you dog lovers out there and easier to keep than a real dog. In the Dalmatian version of this game you can choose from some of the bigger breeds such as Boxer, German Shepherd and Golden Retriever. The graphics are great and will have you going gooey eyed over...
