Advantages: Performance and Economy excellent for size and price. Disadvantages: Heavy 1st year depreciation and poor visibility of corners
Firstly the performance. If you require the oomph, the 136 bhp is there for you especially on M-ways for the 50-80 range. Provided you don't have arthritis in the ankle, you can also pussy-foot away from 30 in 6th. Fuel consumption is good for a car of this weight and do not bank on the computer. Mine ALWAYS shows 10%25 less than actual. Generally I average 40mpg providing I don't exceed 80mph. Keeping it to 60/70 and using the computer to gain max ... ...stay awake. You'd be amazed how much fuel you save going up hills at 10mph less! Boot is big enough for large electric golf trolley plus big golf bag. Masses of room inside, quiet and good heating/ventilation WITH A/c on. Rubbish without it. Biggest minus is visibility. All you can see is windscreen and rear screen - no bonnet or boot. Rear camera which I thought was going to be a gimmick is a godsend. You can't buy these new anymore but s/h they're ...

Advantages: Well built, reliable, onboard computer with satnav, parking camera, spacious Disadvantages: trip computer info, fuel economy and sat nav data is displayed in Kilometers
...to buy from new.
The Nissan Primera 1.8 SX is a Front Wheel Drive, Petrol hatchback it cost me just above £16,995. The extras I opted for were full privacy glass front to rear, and supaguard paint protection. The Primera has been awarded a four star NCAP crash test rating by the European New Car Assessment Programme out of a possible five stars. It comes fully kitted with all the necessary modcoms like sat nav with real-time traffic updates, rain ... ...with subwoofers, ISOFIX back seats and an onboard computer to tell you everything from current fuel consumption to how long you have been driving.
My only complaint about the car is that all the onboard computer functionality including satnav is displayed in Kilometers as opposed to Miles, even though the car is manufactured in Swindon, UK.
The car handles well and the seats are very comfortable, so you don't have a sore back when you return from ...

Why is there a picture of a Renault???
You may have read my review of the 2.0ltr Sport which I bought in 2000. Finally passed it on to my ex-wife in July 2006 with 128,000 miles on the clock and it had never been off the road. Only servicing, tyres and a MAF air sensor, which I fitted myself.
So on the strength of a good looking car and a proven track record I went for a new shape Primera, before they stopped production. Looking at ALL the new ... ...be looking at a Qashqia in the future - Shame.
I bought my 2.2 dCi SVE as an ex-demo (again) this time 11 months old and 1,300 miles on the clock, but for £12K instead of £19K for a new one - so I sacrificed £7K for 11months warranty and 1,300 miles. I think that is worth it!!!!
Have just had my first 12K service and apart from needing a new injector at 3,500 miles (non in stock as These Never Go Wrong!!!) had to wait 5 days for the repair. I am ...
