Advantages Advantages Chic styling, excellent safety, economy, spacious well laid out cabin.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I've got a new car Nice, what is it? A Nissan Qashqai A what? A Qashqai - you know the one with the advert where it does the skateboard moves Oh right. That's the typical conversation I've had over the last couple of months since ordering and taking delivery of my Qashqai Accenta 1.5dci (Qashqai is pronounced Cash Kai, not too hard, but you'd be surprised how difficult people seem to want to make it !). The choice of a car to replace my 160000+ mile Audi A4 was pretty easy. I do about 400 miles per week. I'm a weekend dad to 3 teenage children, all of whom are taller than me ;-(. I want ... more

    5 Stars Nissan Qashqai 18/12/2007
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Easy to get in and out of, big wing mirrors

Disadvantages Disadvantages awkward to reach handbrake

The Qashqai is lovely to drive. It has ESP to help you round corners etc. It feels solid and has been voted Safest European car of the Year! Seems to have airbags everywhere. Lovely comfy seats at the front that can be adjusted back and forth as well as up or down. Easy to get in and out of. Rear view is a little limited but the compensation is the huge wing mirrors that fold back when you are parked. It also has a reversing sensor which is so sensitive it even noticed a small cat! The hand brake is awkwardly placed by the passenger and can get lost in coats! Loads of leg room front and back ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks, cabin design, engines, Nissan's reliability

Disadvantages Disadvantages None that I have seen, but I am sure there will be some

Well I have been lucky enough to drive the latest offering from Nissan, both pre-production and a road version. Called the Qashqai (pronounced Kash (as in money) Kai (as in Sky without the S) = Qashqai). It looks like no other car in its class. It is aimed at the Golf, Astra, Focus and Civic drivers, and it more than stands it ground. We all remember the Almera and Tino, and will never forget the Primera, well this vehicle wants to replace them all, and in the main it does! A spacious 5 seat hatch, it takes much of its lines from the recent launches from Nissan, Navara, Murano and 350Z. This ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks, Panoramic Glass Roof, Space, Efficiency, Price, Cheap to insure

Disadvantages Disadvantages I haven't found any yet appart from the CO2 emmisions could be lower!

Excellent car, bought one last month and have loved every minute spent driving it. It is a refreshing change to the standard family, however it looks good even when not used as a family car! We were looking for a car that would fit a family of 5 plus luggage! However we didn't want a ridiculously large 4*4 or an MPV. The Qasqai ticked all the boxes, it has all the benefits of a big MPV but is categorised as a 5 door hatchback. This works out well when it comes to paying road tax and also for insurance! Before I go into more detail about all the features and specifications, I just want to ... more

    User doesn't recommend the product

Advantages Advantages None that I can see

Disadvantages Disadvantages Where do I begin

I bought this car Nov 2007, I have had it back to the garage 4 times due to the engine management and dpf lights appearing on the dashboard. The dealership says that it is because the 2 litre engine in the car is too big for the short distance I travel each day. Its funny that they did not mention this when they were pushing this car on me at almost £4000 more than the 1.5 litre model, when I bought it. When the lights appear the performance of the car instantly deteriorates. The drive is not as smooth and pulling away is a struggle. Each time the car has been into the garage they have done a ... more
