...and that's why I use Nivea After Shave Balm. The last thing I need after shaving is to douse my skin with an aftershave that stings like hell and makes your skin red and blotchy. Nivea moisturises and soothes your skin, which is pretty important when you consider that shaving is probably tearing off a couple of layers of your skin anyway!

The packaging looks pretty plain and could quite easily be for any Nivea moisturising cream. The balm itself is packaged in a small, squarish glass container. ...an “After Shave Balm” from Nivea for Men, which claimed to be for sensitive skin. I thought wow, so I tried it out and to my amazement it actually stopped the irritation n my skin after I shaved, which I though was dead good.

...They also recommend using Nivea shaving gel or foam.
Two months into owning the product I have had a bit of experience using it. I use it after shaving and the supple feeling is there in my skin. Its a great product to splash on quickly before you go out giving you a discrete manly scent and your skin also feels supple for a while. The box says that it is fragrance neutral but theres definately some kind of fragrance there. Funny I read the box ... ...says fragrance neutral yet the ingredients state that there is Parfum(fragrance)and there is definately a scent. I dont like companies giving misleading information or information that can easily be interpretted as something else. No doubt they will have some explanation as to why it says something about it being fragrance neutral maybe they mean the PH paper test or something daft. Im only speaking for those who may be led into believing one thing ...

Nivea for MEN sensitive after shave balm, well it is exactly what it says on the…….bottle. I first came across this product around two years ago when I recieved a free sample in a magazine. As I had always suffered from discomfort following shaving, I gave it a try. It certainly worked for me, and I have been a loyal purchaser ever since.

...like a tart's handkerchief. This Nivea stuff is great. So many others are sticky, greasy or they don't absorb into your skin. The Nivea is light, soothing, non-greasy, non-sticky, absorbs well and has a pleasant smell for something that is unfraganced. In fact it has a more pleasant smell than most things that are fragranced.

***Update***
It's been a few months since I last bought a bottle of this but I've just noticed that a 'new improved' version is now out and it seems they've taken the opportunity to slap on a massive price hike. It was a less than a fiver last time I bought it but now it's well over a fiver. I've therefore adjusted my ratings downwards to reflect this. ...

I do think that Nivea made a bit of a berk of themselves puting this in a Glass bottle considering where you tend to use the product, but it is a lovely bottle. Its got the same look as the shaving gel - white with the blue label and costs around a fiver for 100ml.

All in all my new attack on that tricky to shave area turned out well, and the products I used were a big success.
