As a person gets older, their skin needs more care. There are all kinds of products on the market that promise to help in the ageing process of the skin, and having tried more expensive varieties of skin products, I thought I would try the new Nivea Visage Facial Wash Gel, as other Nivea products, whilst not the most expensive, have been good value and worthy of my trust in their name. Hello to all. Well to begin with I must tell you that I have a very sensitive skin so I am always a bit afraid at trying new products especially on my face. I have been using Olay Daily Renewal Face wash for a year and was very much satisfied with it. But this time when my tube ran out and I wanted another one I couldn't find it. I have tried all sorts of face washes in the past. I generally dont get spots very much but this product helped to clear up the blemishes I occasionally get. The product smells a little bit like facial masks - a bit cucumbery. It is a very pleasant smell. It feels like hair gel on the hands and the main problem I have had with it is that it does not create much of a lather. I prefer facewashes to be foamy - but this one isn't. I tried this Nivea face wash because i have tried other nivea products and they have done my skin the world of good - but not this one. The nivea face gel made my skin even more dry than previously and also the worst thing was that it brought me out in an irritating and sore rash. I started to use it for about a week but i then realised that it was in fact the nivea facial wash gel that was causing the rash, and not the heat as i had thought it to be.
