I got my Nokia 2310 on upgrade for free and I'm really pleased with it. The call quality, Nokia interface and battery life underpin a rock steady phone that is packed with lots of useful features that make it the best phone I have had my paws on for years.

I asked for a cheap phone for a Birthday present and this is what I got.
I'm thrilled to bits with it. It came from Argos with a T-Mobile package and does everything I wanted. Excellent phone reception, quick easy appointment tracking with alarm set up, and it also plays radio. The buttons are well spaced for my clumsy fingers, and I particularly like the programmable shortcut button for features I use regularly. It is small and feather-light, so if you want a good basic pocket phone - look no further.

Well, I was surprised when I got to the Virgin Meastore in Camden High Street in North London. I have quite a few Vigin chips and I had saved up quite a few red rewards and needed a new phone so I had a look on the web site and found that I did not have enough credits to get it delivered so I went to the store.

The Nokia 2310 doesn't fall in to either of these categories.
To start, the look of the phone, it's predominantly white and therefore very easy to get dirty. Secondly, the horrible, HORRIBLE silver directional pad in the middle. It looks like it's going to fall off, like the blu-tac will give way any second!! It really does look like it's made of tin foil, in all fairness the slightly more rigid version ...

...good and includes the typical Nokia snake game.
It may not have a bluetooth or a camera but it still comes with polyphonic ringtones and even a radio which is just great.
The reception on my phone is excellent and i use the speakerphone function for when im in the car or busy doing work at home.
It was also comes in a very cute small package rather than the huge mobile phone boxes you get when you buy a new phone.
