Advantages Advantages Easy to use, nice array of functions

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the best battery life, adequate but not great camera facilities

My old phone, the Nokia 6070 finally gave up the ghost after about 8 years of abuse from me. I cannot help it that I'm a klutz and probably dropped my phone at least 100 times in its tortured life. Ignoring remarks from my friends that my phone belonged in a museum as they were merrily frolicking about with their iPhones I faithfully stuck with it until the screen was only visible from a 45 degree angle and the keypad only had 5 working buttons at any given time. Predictive text with only 5 randomly working buttons is a true source of frustration let me tell you. So I decided that the time may ... more

Due to a recent family crisis I knew it was time to invest in a better mobile phone in order to be able to stay in touch with my family and friends. A basic mobile phone is what I prefer as I have a good digital camera and a good MP3 player and prefer to keep the 3 separate! As this family crisis was very unexpected and swallowed up a lot of rainy day money, spare money was also very tight and I knew I had to stick to a strict budget when looking for my new phone. I browsed around a few of my local mobile phone shops but as I am an 02 customer they did seem to offer me the best all round deals ... more

If you're looking for a new mobile phone, ask yourself what you're really going to need it for. Are you an oldie-worldie Luddite who wants a phone which just makes calls, stores numbers, sends texts and wakes you up in the morning, or do you want to trade shares online, download warcraft games, film short award-winning movies and remove champagne corks from chaps' eyes? If it's the latter, you would be better off spending your hard earned cash on something a bit more splendid than this phone. If, however, you're a Luddite like me, then this phone will suit you just fine. It looks pretty neat ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap and actually for the price looks ok

Disadvantages Disadvantages May be too feature poor for some

When it comes to a mobile phone my needs are fairly simple; I need something that can be used to make calls and texts on a day to day basis - I don't need bells and whistles, my pay as you go average bill of about £6 per month speaks volumes about my phone use. I use this phone every single day and I, personally, think it is great. I bought this phone nearly a year ago now, despite at the time only being able to find a few reviews of it most of them saying "the battery life is no good", which has proved to be wrong so I am glad I took the plunge. It wasn't too much of a risk at a bargain £29 ... more

Advantages Advantages nice design, does what you pay for

Disadvantages Disadvantages not advanced, battery not the best

I always like to have a more simple phone and a smartphone as I don't always like to use my smartphone as it connects to the internet a lot by itself costing me a lot in excess money. I usually take this Nokia 2630 about when I am not in work as it doesn't hit off the touch screen in my pocket or connect to internet which is what I like. I know to some it is too old and a lot of people hate phones like this but if you want a simple phone that is easy to use, it is still ok to navigate. APPEARANCE This phone comes in a couple of colours, I have it in purple and silver which is the colour I ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages No memory slot.

I now have his phone, and am very well pleased with it. It is sort of nice, like an old friend, the feeling you get after a lot of ups and downs with someone special. The thing is, I have only had it for a few days! I am not the easiest person to please, and for me to say this is special, is a real compliment. I now have a relationship with one of these "Jewels in the Nokia crown". I am also a bit of a closet technophobe, and even I have got to grips with it. You can get a leather case for them from about four Pounds. Mine is used without a leather case, proving it is easy enough to slip in ... more

Advantages Advantages well built, cheap to buy, camera ain't too bad

Disadvantages Disadvantages fiddly direction key, and impossible to get the battery in/out without breaking ur fingernails

Good for a cheap phone this, at £30 from VODAFONE's online store (Jan/Feb 2009) and came ready charged. I originally bought this on the spur of the moment a few weeks back after my Nokia N-Gage started playing silly sods (probably just needs a new battery, hopefully) + VODAFONE somehow lost my number with them... which I'm guessing was something to do with not having used it to phone/text anyone for x-number of months 'cos all my contacts were seemingly too busy doing other stuff to want me calling / texting them.... I even contacted VODAFONE customer service about my giving me my number back ... more

    User doesn't recommend the product

Advantages Advantages Light, does the job of being a phone

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slow, cumbersome, does little extra, poor camera, poor memory...

I spent most of last week looking for a cheap back up phone to use to surf certain websites and if my main phones battery ever went I could use it in an emergency as I'm paying for 2 phones (1 on contract, my C902 and 1 SIM only, which is now housed in this Nokia) I might as well use 2 phones. Now yes that's silly, I should cancel the SIM only one blah blah blah, but the way I see it I have 10 hours of calls there for £20 and using the internet well I can make it pay for it's self every month. So finally I'd found a phone that fit inside my £35 budget, well actually there was 2 there was also ... more

The Nokia 2630 is a very slim and stylish phone. It shares many features with other Nokias in its budget range (all Nokia phones beginning 1 and 2 are budget models). It has bluetooth (meaning you can share pictures, etc wirelessly with compatible phones), basic mobile web access, a radio, headphones, some games and applications preloaded, a VGA camera and you can even use it to phone people! It is not a sliding model, so has to be locked when you use it (press the large key in the centre and then the * key to unlock). It is easy and fairly user friendly to use (if I can use it, anyone can) ... more
