...decided to go for the Nokia 2630, a basic but stylish looking phone at a very reasonable price. I was also given the opportunity to trade in my old phone, which would take another £5 from the total price, of course, I took them up on the offer!

Messaging and Email - E-mail, Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging, SMS Messaging, MMS ... ...is usually the case with Nokia phones. You just press the centre menu button and navigate your way to where you want to go using the arrow keys.
I've never had a phone with Bluetooth before and was quite impressed with this feature, as I was able to send up-to-date pictures of Erin's improvement in hospital daily to my friends and family back home.

The colour screen is large enough, colour, and easy to read - I measured the display at 30mm by 40mm - I couldn't find this information anywhere so I am not sure what the manufacturer's claimed display size is. For the technically minded it is 128 x 160 pixels; to me this means nothing but what is more important to me is that the screen is fine for viewing e.g. the picture of a friend's newborn. ... ...(I personally like the intuitive Nokia menus) and reception is fine in my rather far from a mast home. Actually reception is better than with my previous more expensive phone. Battery life, which was the only feature I found out about before purchase is absolutely fine. ...few weeks back after my Nokia N-Gage started playing silly sods (probably just needs a new battery, hopefully) + VODAFONE somehow lost my number with them... which I'm guessing was something to do with not having used it to phone/text anyone for x-number of months 'cos all my contacts were seemingly too busy doing other stuff to want me calling / texting them.... I even contacted VODAFONE customer service about my giving me my number back, and the ... ...brighter than on my posher Nokia N-Gage smartphone... indoors it's just about possible to light up a room, while outdoors it works just enough to find the keyhole in the dark + just about see the steps up to the flat enough to not go flying arse over tits in the dark when I forget to turn on the outside light before I go out. You can get a leather case for them from about four Pounds. Mine is used without a leather case, proving it is easy enough to slip in your pocket, purse, or wherever you like. The Nokia 2630 is a very slim and stylish phone. It shares many features with other Nokias in its budget range (all Nokia phones beginning 1 and 2 are budget models).
It has bluetooth (meaning you can share pictures, etc wirelessly with compatible phones), basic mobile web access, a radio, headphones, some games and applications preloaded, a VGA camera and you can even use it to phone people!
It is not a sliding model, so has to be locked when ... ...and then the * key to unlock). It is easy and fairly user friendly to use (if I can use it, anyone can) - the phone is menu and icon driven and it is reasonably intuitive to access the features.
The camera is pretty basic - but at the price (around £25) you really can't complain. You cannot connect the phone to a computer using a USB cable and have to use a bluetooth connection.
All in all, this is an excellent phone, which you would think was ...

The good points.
1. Relatively cheap for its features, comes with Bluetooth capabilities, VGA camera with 4x zoom, and FM radio.
2. For the few times I have made calls using this phone, I have found the voice to be very crisp and clear over the phone, which impressed me.
3. Very lightweight and slim as well, and is definitely easy to carry around.

6. 65k colours, 128x160 screen is good enough for its functions. Colours are clear and vibrant.
7. Above average battery life. But I doubt it can last longer than 2 days after extensive usage though.
The bad points.

...When I used the Nokia 2630 I was quiet impressed with the feel of the little piece of technology, weighing in at just over 65 grams this little beauty would fit nicely into anyone's pocket with out too much stress on the stitching.
With a pretty good 6 hour talk time and over 300 hours standby time this phone is a good choice for the average chatterbox.
The keys are well placed, (as you would expect with Nokia) and accessibility to all the functions ... ...a set of Nokia headphones so you can listen to the radio in peace, or you can use the built in loud speaker to annoy the other people sitting in the train.

Every cheap phone i looked at look very cheaply made,but as im trying to save money and really in the end its just a phone to phone/text my friends and let people know im safe i went for this one.I just brought it quick as i was in a rush.
When i got the box it was the tinyest box i had ever seen!Quite ... ...all the multimedia settings.As always nokia are very easy to use and the menu is very simple for you.
This phone has all the simples things you need,ie calculator,camera,few lil games and a radio.Its just not so up to date like all the expenisve phones these days.People rarely use them on new phones these days anyway.
