A very durable phone - until it sheds its keypad. Then it's totally unusable. I had mine fixed under warranty. The rubber flap covering the connectors at the bottom also broke. Now the phone is 16 months old, more issues have emerged. The text messaging application is so buggy that it crashes-to-standby at least twice a day. Sometimes it doesn't crash, it just hangs, and I have no choice but to reboot the phone. And turning it on takes about two ...

...phone for anyone. The Nokia 5500 is packed with features that you would expect in the very high end phones. It is bluetooth 2.0 compliant , a feature i use regularly, and it supports all the usual features that most mobile phones have nowadays such as GPRS and a camera(see specs for full feature list). i find the phone very sturdy as it will never break, im forever dropping it and with my old phone they jus fall apart. It has i case which you cant change but the good thing is you never get dust behing the screen which is great. I bought a Nokia 5500 to replace my 5140i and in doing to felt I had jumped a decade in technology. The phone is packed with features, is robust and splashproof as well as being quite petite. The bright LED torch is very useful and the phone is also fitted with some form of accelerometer which measures the g forces acting on the phone - this is obviously to make the pedometer work in the sports mode, but also has a game called Groove Labyrinth where ...
