Marymoose finds the perfect phone (again)!

Advantages: Excellent phone, good camera, excellent MP3 player, touch screen, etc etc!
Disadvantages: Only very few minor niggles such as fingerprints on screen

...Hubby came across the Nokia 5800 Xpress Music (its full name), and pretty much decided straight away that that was the one. My main concern was that it didn’t have a QUERTY keyboard like the one on my P990i, in fact it didn’t have any keys at all. I couldn’t really get my head around this, although obviously I have seen I-phones. Although my old phone had a touch screen, this wasn’t instead of the keypad, and it wasn’t for using when making calls. ...
...went to check out the Nokia 5800. Really it was love at first sight….as soon as hubby started playing with the Nokia 5800 I knew that that was the phone I wanted, I barely had a second glance at the Blackberry. And the best thing, even though there’s no real keys, when pressing on the keypad it vibrates…and there’s a QUERTY keyboard screen, and and and….well read on! == So, what was the cost…the phone and the plan? == Hubby and I had both completed ...

Nokia 5800 Pushes All The Right Buttons

...on my last phone, the Nokia E65, as well as cursing over things it couldn't do, I knew I was going to have to choose my phone more carefully. And then the iPhone was released and seemed to be everything I wanted... except for a nice price, so really it was out of the question. So when I came to finally renew my contract I had a look for what phone I could get for a reasonable price... and so I ended up with the Nokia 5800. ==In The Box== I waited ...

...sites and decided on the Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. ==Why Nokia 5800 over all the others== I choose this model for a few reasons, I like the fact it had a huge memory, it is touch screen and to be honest I think it looks the part too. Given the fact it was a Nokia too I thought I really can’t go wrong. In my opinion they are a huge contender in the mobile phone market. I also think it’s very similar to the IPhone but for a much better deal. ==Cost ...

...of design. Many more brands, Nokia being one of them, produces phones more and more "sensible" to touch. The number of buttons is minimized as much as possible, and their place is replaced by bigger and bigger TFT touch screens. Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is another proof that men don't want just a phone but a technological jewel. The menus with very suggestive icons are also found in this phone. This version operates on Symbian, 9.4 version. The "others" ...

Yes, this great phone appears when Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman) pulls it out of his pocket. Until then there were just rumors that Nokia will release finally a phone with a touch screen of the third generation (after Nokia 7710 and Nokia 6708). The official release date of this phone, ...

...BlackBerry I did want the Nokia N97 but the contracts were very high for this so my next option was the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. On looking at the phone it does seem quite thick but it is easy to hold and it is black. It is like a small computer screen a rectangle shape and if you turn it around the screen will turn vertical or horizontally which is quite useful although this does annoy me at times. The phone being a touch screen is hard to get used ...
...I did was installed the Nokia disc to get the Nokia Ovi Suite onto my laptop which gives me the ability to add my own computer photos and music almost like Nokia's version of iTunes so that it instantly transfers everything via USB onto your phone in seconds. It again has so much space that you could have lots and lots before it gets full which my last phone again didn't have as I personally needed to buy more memory to have more than two songs. ...

...on. I've had the Nokia 5800 for a just over a month now, enough time to get to grips with it. Not having a Nokia for a couple of years it was great to jump stright into the phone and after 2 years, they still feel like Nokias, which I liked. The interface is incredibly easy to pick up, even if you have never used a touchscreen phone before I think it would take a matter of hours before you knew the interface inside out. In my opinion, Nokias have ...
...you buy songs of the Nokia Store, but at the end of the day its too sameish and does not present anything new or different to the hundreds of other phones on the market. I'll be holding onto my iPod for now. While Nokia intended the Music player to be the main attraction of the 5800, I think the start of the show are the applications. The phone matches any other phone out there in terms of the applications avaiable. The phone comes with a load built ...

Nokia 5800 touch screen music phone

Advantages: Quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: Can get damaged easily

...XpressMusic is a revolution for Nokia with it being the first touch screen phone produced by the manufacturer. With its slim lined shape it is an easy phone to hold and to use. Nokia 5800 - Overall a very good user experience

Advantages: Good screen, nice features, great for music
Disadvantages: Touch screen misses touches sometimes

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone is one of Nokia's first attempts at a touch screen handset for the masses. Before its release, many were hoping it would rival the iPhone. Well, what you must understand, before making a purchase of the 5800, is that Nokia are not targetting the iPhone with this particular handset, though they may make their challenge later this year with a different model. The 5800 is a superb touch phone though. It is aimed at those ...
...aimed at music lovers. However, Nokia do include a generous 8GB microSD card in the box and the phone supports up to 16GB cards, so plenty of storage capacity. I like the camera. OK, so it is only 3.2 megapixels, but the photos I get out of it are nice and clear and have good colours. It also has a dual LED flash, which is quite good. Indoor shots in dim light are pretty well lit, especially if you are quite close up. The flash is nice and bright, ...

Has everything but the kitchen sink!

Advantages: Stylish, features, modern, sleek
Disadvantages: GPS not great, complex at first

The eagerly anticipated Nokia alternative to the iphone. It really had a lot to live up to if it was going to even match the competition; so its unbelievable to imagine the possibility that its actually better! . . .but miracles do happen it would seem. The phones stats and features could fill the whole page and you can get them from any good mobile phone website anyway so I won't waste your time listing them here. In simple terms the 5800 does ...
...camera & camcorder and its even a GPS system! . . .however no kitchen sink sadly. The feel of the phone is the first thing that strikes you. It’s much sleeker than the iphone, and its defiantly more stylish. Personally I have the red version which is very subtly toned to be colourful and intriguing without being overpowering or garish. The sheer number of features the phone can use is also quickly evident from the number of ports and sockets located ...

nokia 5800 express music, a great phone!

Advantages: so many great features and looks great!
Disadvantages: took me a while to work out where the sim card went! but thats probably just down to me, lol

I got my nokia 5800 last week, i was excited when it arrived and couldnt wait to start using it. It came neatly packed in the box, with all the user and instruction manuals and all the accesories. I like the way the screen turns round to horizontal when you turn your phone round, and the screen is large and clear. It has all the usual phone features, text messages, contact book, web, games, camera but it has so much more. Gps/Maps, which is really cool, it shows you where you are and your able to find local services on the maps, like garages and car parks. ...
