...time to go for a nokia one. I looked on the internet and to my surprise there was only one nokia phone listed, the nokia 6030 but one that was good enough to do the job. As I will only be using this phone for calling and texting agencies for work, I wasn't too fussed by the fact that there was no camera, Bluetooth etc.

7 am and I am rudely interrupted from my dream about the gorgeous Tyrese Gibson by the not overly pleasant sound of my Nokia 6030's alarm singing one of it's many ringtones at me. On the back a small piece of plastic slides off to reveal the battery, the rest of the cover can be removed, but there is little point in this. One thing I have found is that the first piece of plastic comes off too easily, this is probably my fault, I am a the type of person who has to have their hands doing something, so I used ...

*** Nokia 6030 Phone ***
The Nokia 6030 is the mobile phone we currently use at work, so while sitting on a dinner break I have decided to review it.
The Nokia 6030 is back to the basics of a phone, it is silver in colour, it has a colour screen and is just over 1cm thick. ...currently a user of a Nokia 6030 phone and so far I have been pleased with the mobile phone itself.
I came to purchase the phone through buying another phone (not made by Nokia) which ended up having problems. I took back the phone and they said I could have a totally different phone- up to the price range i had currently paid or pay extra for a better phone. The first thing I noticed about the phone was the look. It is a very stylish phone with well placed easy to use keys.
The second thing that I noticed about the phone was the lack of features, although ...

The phone is fairly simple, if youve been used to more complex phones with features such as cameas, video calling this will seem to be just another ordinary run-of-the mill phone but if your just likely to use it for calling and texting with maybe a few extras then this phone is perfect for you!

...to use with the standard Nokia menu layout, it stores hundreds of text messages, plenty of polyphonic ring-tones and many images in it's 3MB internal memory. It does not support 'real tone' ring-tones which seems a shame since the speaker can handle read sounds with the radio! Advantages: Aesthetically pleasing - Great user interface - Cheap Disadvantages: Maybe a little too basic
The Nokia 6030 is the equivalent of fooling those around you into believing that that typewriter you just bought is in fact a top-spec laptop computer with all the trimmings.
Let me elaborate. On appearance alone this phone is a true diamond in the rough. Gleefully stylish yet delightfully understated. It looks just like a business phone. Not too loud, yet not too boring. Dark and brooding, it alludes to an aura of mystique. That vintage design ... ...the 6030 is, however, a basic phone with basic functionality. Text messaging (including predictive text), a phone book (no more digging up the antiquated paper phone book - yes!), the ability to call people and one game that is unaware of its status as a poor-mans Tetris (Nature Park anyone?). But this phone isn't trying to imitate a PDA.
This is a sturdy and reliable phone that hasn't let me down once - despite being knocked about more than a heavyweight ...

Quick review of Nokia 6030
I bought my 6030 from eBay for around £10, although the new price is not all that much more.
It has a clour screen, the intuitive menu system standard to Nokias, and the sleek black design looks chic for the price-range. The screen is hard to scratch, the shape and structure make it a strong, hardy phone, and it's light-weight and compact. The keys are well sized and feel 'right'. The mic and speaker have never given me any trouble in the 5 or more months I've owned it, bearing in mind I'm the second owner. Battery life is superb. Overall great value for a no-nonsense, good looking, and full-featured phone. ...
