Advantages Advantages It's a Nokia, plain and simple, but funky too ;)

Disadvantages Disadvantages Samsung have been doing this for months

Anyone who keeps an eye on me knows I've been going through a rough time for a while now, while I don't feel up to sharing, I do feel the need to involve you in something that cheered me right up, albeit only for a while. **What does your mobile say about you?** I've been keeping my eye on the O2 site for a while now, waiting for this little lady (for she has to be female, technology mixed with ease of use, fine lines and sexy curves mixed with sleek styling and superior knowledge to every other model) and finally, the Nokia 6111 came up on my upgrade list. She cost me a mere £20, although I'm ... more

Advantages Advantages Stylish, lightweight, elegant, lots of fun and interesting features. Bluetooth enabled.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not very rugged or durable.

As soon as I held the Nokia 6111 in my hands, I knew it was something special. In fact, you can tell that from a mile away. The fact is, it's a great phone, with most of the features you'll ever need, but make sure you look at it often, because if you drop it from a reasonable height onto a hard surface, it may not survive. When you switch the phone on, it flashes with several colours of lights and you hear the Nokia tune. This is probably normal for those of you who already own a Nokia phone, but this is only the beginning. Slide open the phone and the number key are revealed, which light up ... more

    Advantages Advantages Lots

Disadvantages Disadvantages Setting up sim card and battery is a bit tricky

This phone had been in the shops for a while, a few people i know had one so I kept asking my dad for it as my christmas pressie. I was delighted when i opened my christmas pressie and there it was the nokia 6111... the pink one. I had a quick look at the information booklet included and worked out how to insert the sim card and battery, i found both of these quite tricky to do but it was worth it. It was annoying having to charge it up for however many hours before i could explore the phone properly (but then you need to do this with all mobile phones). This christmas i'd have had the Nokia ... more

Advantages Advantages Compact, small and relatively easy to use, fantastic camera.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Small keypad buttons for big fingers.

Appearance: The first thing you notice abot the 6111 is that when it is in it's compact form there are only 6 buttons visable. These allow you to do just about anything, including calling out, playing games, changing settings and most other functions of the phone. So why does it have a keypad? Simply to enter new numbers and for text messaging. Is this a good thing? Yes, this makes the phone look very stylish and reasonably simple to use, as the 6 buttons on the front of the phone do practically everything. Messaging: The phone has the ability to create the following; -Text Messages ... more

Advantages Advantages Small, compact and easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Feels quite plastic and flimsy, and what happened to standard Nokia chargers?

Since releasing the hugely successful 6230i, Nokia spent a long time concentrating on 3G handsets and budget pay as you go phones rather than the middle ground of the market. Then came along the 6111. Hallelujah! Finally, Nokia fans had something decent and affordable to upgrade to. Gone were the days of mobile phone sellers like myself recommending 6230i's to people who already had 6230i's and having no other mid-range Nokia as a backup option. Features-wise, there's little that differentiates the 6111 from the 6230i. The 6111 doesn't have a memory card, which puts it slightly behind the ... more

Advantages Advantages packed with features - standard easy to navigate Nokia menu - good games - polyphonic and real tones - good camera

Disadvantages Disadvantages battery life - build quality - video playback

Alas I have finally bid farewell to my Nokia 6111 after only 6 months of heavy use and I have to say I won't be buying another in a hurry having opted to stay with the Nokia brand but a different model, the Nokia 8800. The phone is very sleek and sexy. It fits in the palm of my hand being only 8cm long, 4cm wide and 2cm deep. It is compact and oozes class. The size has been reduced significantly due to the screen being placed on a sliding mechanism over the keyboard. Not only is it small, it is also very light and in the absence of a set of scales the Nokia website reliably informs me that it ... more

5 Stars THE PHONE TO BUY - NOKIA 6111 Review with images 06/03/2006
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Sleek, Looks Good, Feels Good, IT'S A NOKIA!!!

Disadvantages Disadvantages The style of the phone is a bit old. Cost.

This is a brilliant phone that's why I bought it!! Here is a rundown on all its main features. The Integrated Digital Camera It is a mega pixel camera with landscape camera mode (which is very handy). It has flash and 6x digital zoom which is more than most phones. Also it has video streaming and recording for more than 60 minutes. (Imagine that a whole hour of recording!) Push To Talk It is one of those fancy phones where you slide up the top half of the phone to talk. Games This phone has 4 built in Java games. All of which are very, very good. They are, Rally 3D, Golf Tour, Backgammon 2 and ... more

    User doesn't recommend the product

Advantages Advantages Georgous, Stylish, Easy to use and Practical

Disadvantages Disadvantages No Memory Card Slot, Software problem

I Purchased this funky little phone in March - just after it was released in pink. I fell in love and like my car wanted it so i brought it! - Typical girl I got it for free as i had a contract with it and what a good contract it was! Anyway back to the phone - It is as good as expected. I knew it didn't have a memory card slot for extra memory so i couldn't really complain. But with all the extra features it does not leave you with much memory to play with. The camera design and features is good. You can use it just like a digital camera and has loads of options and a good zoom. Now it isnt ... more

Advantages Advantages Simple and effective, easy to naviagate and long lasting

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none found

Having had this mobile phone for over a year I have found it both easy to use and extremely durable. Having dropped it on numerous occasions I am pleased to say it has always worked afterwards with extremely little visual damage. ~ Visually ~ To look at the phone is small and petite and has a sophisticated design that is simple but effective. Having a choice of three colours to chose from (pink, black and white) makes the phone perfect for anyone (child, teenager, adult, male or female). ~ Buttons ~ The buttons under the sliding face are not too small and are ideally positioned for those with ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks good, good camera, light, easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Terrible battery, relatively poor music player

I will admit, I mainly picked this phone because it came in pink. But I did some research into it before handing over my hard earned cash, so I thought I would be safe with my decision. However, this phone ended up causing nothing but problems. Within a couple of months of buying this phone, I was having trouble with the battery. The problems started small; the charger seemed to be very particular about how it was positioned, and I would have be be very delicate when putting the phone down to make sure it was still charging, and the next day the phone would often fluctuate between full battery ... more
