Too Bad It Broke :0

Advantages: Easy to Use, Changable cover, has Bluetooth, good battery life
Disadvantages: like any other mobiles, it stops working if you drop it in liquids.

...owned. Like most of the Nokia branded mobiles, it is simple to use and does not have to many complications like the modern mobiles of today. I know that I have owned more than eight different mobiles in the last seven years which is quite a low and is not good for the environment. This Nokia 6230i just happened to be in the midst of these mobiles and it is a shame that it left me before I was fully satisfied which is more of a shame really. I actually ...
...of the keys on this Nokia 6230i makes it easy to navigate through out the whole mobile. Everything is quite simple to use, therefore if you are a first time buyer this might be the mobile for you. The battery life of this mobile is quite good actually. I once talked to my mate more than four hours before the battery ran out. Therefore the talk time of the mobile is just over four hours which could even be five hours if the battery was fully charged. ...

...made me definitely want another Nokia after this model ==About the 6230i Features== It has lots of different features including *1.3 mega-pixel camera with 3 x digital zoom, I found this camera brilliant for a phone camera and took many pictures with it, it had a night mode which helped make pictures a better quality in the dark all those these weren't brilliant. Communications conundrum?

Advantages: Monoblock (not a flip phone), easy to use, compact
Disadvantages: Echo-y sound, disappointing battery life

I've only ever owned Nokia mobile phones, three different models - 3210e, 8210i and the 6610i. I've found them to be robust, easy to use and typically, just the right size to be able to carry about. I've only ever had one problem with one of the phones, too. Just before Christmas 2005, my Nokia 6610i died. I had a major disagreement with my network operator, Orange because the phone was only four days over the usual 12-month guarantee period and ...
...with O2. I chose the Nokia 6230i as the free phone with the contract, although there were others available (Sony 750i, Motorola RAZR etc.) The 6230i is a similar size and shape to the other Nokia 6000 series of phones. I like these as I think they strike the balance between being small enough to be easily portable (dropped into a jeans pocket) and large enough that usability isn't compromised. The phone comes with a hefty manual, a CD of software ...

Nokia, still ahead of the game

Disadvantages: It's a bit ugly, but aren't we all?!

...on my latest contraption the Nokia 6230i. The greatest compliment that I can offer this phone is that if any inanimate object on earth could give me brain cancer via pulses of radiation it would be this. I am a bit of a technophile but yet I know nothing of the logistics or how these things develop so quickly. This is less a phone than a portable multi media contraption with an added bonus of being able to communicate with various people despite ...
...well as optimism. The Nokia 6320i comes with a rather meagre 32mb memory card, which is enough to support a couple of songs in mp3 format as well as a good number of photographs and other such niceties. However since it's inception on the world market cunning science types have been slowly introducing a number of different sized chips. In my haste I bought a 512mb chip, but of course now with the weight of microtechnological progression chips of ...

Nokia's R D Best ! (Fone Spk!) - 6230i (UPDATED)

Disadvantages: Camera could be better quality, but why upgrades where invented

...a very big fan of Nokia phones, and since ownership have one have not been tempted to steer away to another mobile manufacturer ... mobile provider .. yes ... mobile manufacturer ... most definitely not ! ...she passed it along. My Nokia 6610 and I got along famously (see previous op) and I was soon bewitched by a whole new world of pointless accroutements - the games! The Groups! The different ringtones! The excitement! We stayed together for about 18 months. Then, one day, my head was turned. I was introduced through a friend to the 6230i. The cheeky little minx seduced me, and before you could blink, I had a new mobile in my life. Forgive me, for ...
...the range of fascias that Nokia seem to insist we all need to stamp our individuality on their mass marketed technology, there is nothing offensive or disappointing about the mobiles look. Added to this is an extremely high level of durability - drop, throw or kick the phone, and it'll keep right on going (legal disclaimer: do not drop, throw or kick your phone, just in case). In fact, in a test last year, FHM Magazine placed it top out of a selection ...

The Nokia 6230i is an awesome mobile phone. It has excellent capabilities and can meet everybody's needs. Nokia 6230i - A Fab New Toy

Advantages: New for 2005 packed with new gadgets and the memory to support it
Disadvantages: Fiddly to use the keypad, expensive if it's not a free upgrade

...So when the Nokia 6230i arrived I was a little disappointed to find it bigger than my previous Samsung, and no flip lid so I toyed with the idea of giving it to 'him indoors' and holding onto my old one. But it only weighs 99g and when I turned it on I started appreciating all the upgrades and advances. Now, I'm probably only ever going to use about 1/8 of this phones gadgets and subsections, so if you're expecting a 100% run down and regurgitation ...

The factory settings provide you with a little bubbly noise for a text which is inoffensive. And if you're fussy there are hundreds of tones to warn or alert to choose from. Now as you may have been able to tell - I am a girl, and for your information I don't ...

Nokia 6230i -used it, then went back to my K700i

Advantages: quality camera,expandable memory,excellent software,security options
Disadvantages: unstable bluetooth,poor radio,navigation joystick,connectivity settings

...Sony Ericsson K700i to a Nokia 6230i. The main reasons I changed are: according to the specs, the nokia can do everything my K700i could AND it has a memory card slot (expandable upto 512mb) and a higher quality camera. The 6230i certainly has a huge range of features:- 1.3mp camera, mp3 player, media player, memory expansion, variety of messaging options (text, mms, email, instant messaging etc), enhanced GPRS, infrared, xHTML browser, bluetooth, ...
...majority of the features work extremely well and together with the excellent software should make this phone worth the £200+ price tag. There are however some drawbacks which, for me, proved so problematic that I sold the phone within a week and went back to my K700i. Firstly, on the plus side. The camera on the phone does take good quality pictures. The security options on the phone are very good- you can use a security code to protect the phone ...

6230i the little cracker from Nokia

Advantages: One of the best phones around at the moment
Disadvantages: Fiddly keys for big fingers

...websites, I'd decided on the Nokia 6230i. When the phone arrived the first thing to hit me was how small and light the phone was. Now that to me is a deffinate plus. The last thing you need is a phone that is bulky and heavy. Assenbly of the phone was easy, you just have a battery and a sim card and a cover to put in. trust me if I can do it anyone can! Nokia have jazzed it up a bit with a silver front and new design keys (the old one was all black). ...

Firstly an alarm clock, a calender which allows you to enter reminders for birthdays, meetings etc. A to do list, which is the phones equilivant of ...

...the 2005 upgrade to the Nokia 6230, but it may as well be a completely new model! Weighing in at 99g, this Triband Nokia has a sturdy, comfortable feel and fits nicely in the pocket. Like most Nokia's it benefits from a well designed and simple to use Menu system. Battery life is impressive with talktime of 3-5 hours and Standby of 150-300 hours. I haven't yet suffered with a poor signal or bad sound quality. Messaging, ...

Advantages: Good features, looks smart
Disadvantages: Needs getting used to

I've waited for ages for Nokia to bring out a mobile that looks attractive and has a wide range of features. I think the Nokia 6230i fulfils these 2 criteria. Looks. Personally, i think the Nokia 6230i looks very smart. It comes in silver, black or even pink. I have the Nokia 6230i silver. Which loooks modern and attractive. Nokia 6230i the new improved 6230 on Orange

Advantages: Improved Camera, increased video time, extra memory
Disadvantages: Some features do not work on UK networks, No flash

The Nokia 6230i shares the same looks as the original 6230. It is the same size and very similar in weight. I realise that statement sounds like sales blurb but to me it was very important, all my accessories, car kit, Bluetooth, desk stand all work with the new 6230i saving me the expense of purchasing new accessories. The new 6230i focuses on improving existing features of the 6230 and I feel this is something that it has achieved very successfully. ...

This has the major advantage that most PCs will automatically install a USB mass storage device as opposed to needing proprietary software from Nokia. This is a major plus if you use many machines on the move, say goodbye to memory sticks, especially as this phone supports ...

I Heart My Nokia

Advantages: Stylish, simple to use, lots of features.
Disadvantages: Slow and the keypad is too small!

I've never really had a Nokia before - certainly not a new one anyway, so when my Orange contract expired last November, I decided to trade in (not literally, unfortunately) my flip lid Motorola for one of the more traditional looking Nokias (albeit a good size smaller than the last old one I had!) The Nokia 6230i was around £170 in the shop if you bought it as part of a Pay As You Go deal, but on contract it was free! Woo! My plan is 200 minutes ...
...to admire its appearance. The Nokia 6230i has a silver front and a black back - it looks quite smart in my opinion. It's quite discreet and it's a simple rectangular shape - not like these other phones you see that are stupidly wide. The screen isn't huge, but it's definitely adequate. The keyboard however - well, as phones get smaller and smaller, the keyboards do as well. You soon get used to it, but it is annoying when you press the wrong buttons ...
