Advantages Advantages Stereo loudspeaker, clear user interface, VGA video recording

Disadvantages Disadvantages No fastforward/rewind for videos, average still camera,

I had this phone for about a month now, currently its a great buy for Under £150 in most places and can be bought for around £130. Before I even start reviewing the phone, I will have to warn buyers that this phone is locked on most networks in the UK and uses a new network lock (so called BB5). Unlocking remotely via codes is not possible unlike in older nokia's (6230 and 6230i being its predecessor). The only way to unlock at the moment is to contact the network to lift the restriction and this will usually set you back around £15. So please choose the phone on the network of your choice. Advantages Advantages Small and light, very easy to navigate.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Memory card slot is difficult to open and camera button is unusually placed

The Nokia 6233 has a 2 megapixel camera which does take very nice, clear shots. It is a little awkward to use and the phone has to be held sideways and the button is positioned to enable that. The camera features allow you to make your photographs black and white, sepia toned and negative colourings. It automatically takes advantage of any light available, which is helpful for pictures taken at evening but they are not of very good quality. The video recording facility is a little pointless in that you can only shoot about 60 seconds worth of video and it is a little grainy. The sound quality ... more

Advantages Advantages Good Display, Simple Elegant Design, Great video quality.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Camera doesn't have a flash option, Not 3G.

I chose this phone when i upgraded my contract with 02. I chose it because it wasn't a series 60 phone like the N73. The Series 60 phone is good, but i don't like it, its too complicated. This phone however is very easy to use and all the features can be accessed very quickly. I would recommend this phone to people that like to listen to music without their earphones in. If you turn the equalizer up buy on notch on each, the phone overpowers anything without any loss in the quality, however if the equalizer is set any higher the quality does deteriorate. Amazing screen quality, even with only ... more

Advantages Advantages A great easy to use phone

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Thought I’d have another go at writing a review and seeing as I love my Nokia 6233 I thought it would make a great subject. Firstly I should point out that I have the white version which when I got it about 6 months ago was only available from Orange in white. What comes in the box ****************************** 1) Your phone 2)Nokia headset, sound/volume control and an easier to press answer button 3) A new style battery 4)Nokia Charger , which I should point out had a smaller end than the older ones so you would need to look after it as you can’t use your old ones. 4)64 mb memory card, 5) ... more

Advantages Advantages Clear menus., easy to navigate.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Auto deletes messages sometimes...

The first phone I ever owned was a Nokia. As was the second. I then went to a Motorola. Only then did I realise how good Nokia's truly were. Too many phones flood the market these days, with promises of the latest thing, whether it be more mega pixels, better sound quality or the latest games. The Nokia 6233 has everything I would ever want as your general, run-of-the-mill human being. I like to text. I like to make phone calls. I occasionally look at things online, and take the odd photo. The main pros are that the menus are clear, and I find I am quickly able to get to writing a message ... more

Advantages Advantages All in one & sleek

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not symbian mobile

Very nice progression from a 6230i. I got this phone 2 weeks ago. I used to have the 6230 and 6230i. Loved them both very much, but the 6233 is far better in every way. If you have 6230/i, you'll absolutely love the new 6233. It does everything nicely, menus are super fast, pic is great, so is the radio & mp3. Nice Clear display, text is sharp. This is an absolutely beautiful phone, and feels very well built too.The black and silver colours are just great, but I much prefer it in black. Great little gadget. ~ There is no DisAdvantages for this mobile. i could say nokia could hav added little ... more

Advantages Advantages Fantastic camera, Bluetooth enabled, many functions

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery standby - many functions use it up

I wanted another Nokia. I was assured that this one was the newest at the time. I have trouble getting on with other mobile's key functions as they are invariably different. It is a shame that they can't standardise them. I got one of these for Christmas. Firstly I am really pleased with the camera, it takes marvelous photos. I have e mailed some to friends and they can't believe that I've taken them with my mobile. In some ways it is even better than my digital camera! I love being able to take a photo anywhere, any time. As for the main functions, I will admit to having had some trouble ... more

Advantages Advantages Every feature that the average person would require

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit pricey

This phone is undoubtedly one of the best birthday presents I've ever received. It's easy to use, clear, simple but advanced in its features. Its organisational capabilities are amazing and the radio/mp3 player is wonderfully clear. The camera is fantastic (2 megapixels but looks like more), though I must say that the video capabilities leave a little to be desired. It weighs just enough to be light but you know it's in your pocket. It's relatively slim and the chrome casing is very attractive and the phone is generally nice to hold. For those who enjoy mobile phone games, this one comes with ... more

Advantages Advantages easy nokia interface, lots of features, very stylish

    Disadvantages Disadvantages camera

I upgraded to this phone 15 months ago and have never been happier with a phone (it is the first one that I have not upgraded asap!). I spent a few years going around LG and Samsung phones and was very pleased with a return to Nokia. The active standy by desktop would have to be one of my favourite features. I allows you to keep certain items up on your wallpaper, I personally have a countdown timer for cooking, calendar and a very handy notes section. The usual go to menu on the right softkey is something that you will be used to from nokias but from going without it and back makes you ... more

Advantages Advantages Very easy to use and very functional at the same time....

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not available on pay as You Go yet....although available sim free at a price.

This phone is the best phone i have ever come across and believe me i have had a few.... i have had everything from a basic nokia 2600 to an Lg Chocolate Phone this is by far the best. The phone is full and packed to the hilts with features it even has a built in fm radio which i find very very useful. The sound is crystal clear and the ringtones extremely loud which is always an advantage when looking at a new phone purchase. This phone is the best phone since the 6230i, i assure you. I use to be on pay and go which i really got sick and tired of toping up every 5 minutes so i applied to ... more
