When I first used this phone, it was my first phone beyond an old Nokia 6210, therefore it was a totally new experience for me. The Nokia 6600 runs the Symbian operating system version 7. It has very easy to navigate menus thanks to the joystick just above the keypad as well as large easy to read icons in the menu. Having had a nokia 3310 for nearly two years i decided that i needed a change of scenery from the dull, black & white phone that had i been using for to long. I wanted a camera phone which would enable me to access some of today's hottest features in phones including infrared and bluetooth technology. I bought this phone after my old 8210 got broken and I had to claim off an insurance policy. I was wondering which phone to buy and my man said "get the 6600, its the best on the market". I looked at the phone and my first impressions were...Its a bit...erm...big. ...online contract I received a Nokia 3200, but trust me to be unlucky this one was faulty with about 3 different faults. After loads of calls and emails to O2 they eventually agreed to replace it and sent me the Nokia 6600 which I have to admit is a fantastic phone.

I do actually recommend reading the instruction booklet because the interface is vastly different from frankly less complicated phones. My Nokia 6600 came into my possession by way of a free upgrade. Normally this phone costs in excess of £150 when bought on contract and I was mightily impressed with it from the moment I took it out of the box.

Like most Nokia phones, the 6600 is Tri-band and therefore can be used outside of the UK in North America, Europe and Asia. ...quite similar to the standard nokia software, though much more powerful. It allows for advanced file management, powerful applications and complex tasks. You can even minimize one application, do something else and then go back to it later. This is something I find very useful, particularly if I am doing something and then need to write a message. I can 'pause' what i'm doing and come back to it when I am done with the message. A great time saver. ... ...9 seconds. This is because nokia decided to limit it to the size that you can fit in an MMS message. A silly mistake in my opinion as this can get annoying. The videos it takes are in the 3GP format. Video playback is not limited to 9 seconds though, ...

This is my second nokia phone so if you have already been using a nokia phone you will find using this phone easy as the menu's are very similar.

On immediate ‘blagging’ I noticed how amazingly huge this phone is! At first glance, the Nokia 6600 looks pretty much like any other phone on the market; it has a colour screen, digital camera--all standard features nowadays. But what you don't see at first is that these phones are classed as "smart phones" because they pack so many features and options into one space.

INTRODUCTIONS Nokia are a company in transition. Gone were the days when solid, sleek phones such as the Nokia 8210 and 8310 were released. A new design team released new experimental designs; it’s no co-incidence that Nokia’s relative market share has decreased, with the public favouring the ‘silver flip-phone’; whose popularity has grown in abundance.
The Nokia 6600 brings a return to conventionalism, a standard keypad layout and look ... ...to the Nokia 3650 handset; a device which was popular but it’s look put many off.
As a side note, Nokia have really promoted this handset aggressively. Prime-time advertising has been used, a tactic which is uncommon for Nokia. But as phones reach a new level in technology, can the 6600 regain the market share that Nokia enjoyed a couple of years back? FIRST IMPRESSIONS First off, in absolute terms, this isn’t a small phone. The same curvy shape ...
