Disadvantages Very low internal memory, Quite expensive for what you actually get

**Introduction** January is the month when I am eligible for an upgrade on my phone and this year I wanted to make sure I chose my new phone carefully. Last year I made the mistake of selecting the touch-screen Nokia 5800 which I absolutely hated and ended up swapping handsets with my wife a couple of months later for her rather basic-in-comparison, no frills phone. Nokia 6700 Slide a successful replacement for my worn out N97 12/08/2010

Advantages Familiar Nokia layout, light, robust, great camera, easy one handed texting
Disadvantages Short usb lead, can't use my old headphones, but these are minor gripes.

I received this Nokia 6700 from Vodafone as a replacement for my faithful N97. I have been using it for six weeks now, so these opinions have had time to ferment nicely! I have found that the battery life is great and the charge time very speedy. I use a lot of texts and being able to do this one handed is useful for me. I was worried that the seemingly small buttons would be a problem for my fat, nail-bitten fingers, but they are fine. The predictive text system is even better than the good one on the N97 and it is easier to send multiple texts with all manner of attachments. It is lighter ... more

Advantages attractive phone and easy to use the features. Keyboard very clear and good camera and apps
Disadvantages Font size too small, even when setting is large. Poor sound and limited contact details

I was looking forward to using my good looking purple phone, especially after reading positive reviews, but have found that although it feels good in the hand, the screen size and the inability to increase the size of the fonts and icons sufficiently has meant I am about to change it for a different make. Setting the size of the font to large still gives a very small sized font, especially when writing text messages and trying to read information on the general screens, confirmed by all I checked it out with, including mobile phone salesman!
