I have been using my husband's phone on a couple of occasions and now find that no predictive text is a total nightmare. ...its kind. I think Nokia is a good reliable manufacturer, far more so than any of the others - as they make a slimline model which has a lot of good features. You can get lots of extras for it too, and if you shop around many of these will come free with the package. You definitely need an ear-piece for the radio though, and a hands-free set for the car is a must. I would recommend that you check out which Network provider is best for your area though ...
