Nokia 8800 - Phone of the year?
Review of Nokia 8800 by
The12thman278
Advantages: To many to mention
Disadvantages: Heavy, very small keys
I haven't had a nokia for almost 10 years now, but once i saw this phone i just had to have it.
My V3 had become boring after a year and i got fed up waiting for the Pebl v6 to come out. The 8800 was everything i wanted in a phone (bluetooth, camera and video recorder, mp3 player, games) and Nokia have pulled out all the stops to produce what i think is the best phone on the market at the moment.
I think the battery life is quite good, i use ...

Quick review of Nokia 8800 Stainless steel
Review of Nokia 8800 by
acustic
I want to say that this phone is very expensive for it's sound quality , the volume is very low on it and the fact that it doesnt have a memory card slot makes it useles , i think this phone was made to show people that sirocco is the best 8800 out there.. like a demo or something

looks a million dollars
Review of Nokia 8800 by
gasp1234
Advantages: sleek , stylish and scratch resistant
Disadvantages: low battery life
The Nokia 8800 looks a million dollars and costs nearly that much! But that's the point - exclusivity and style is what the 8800 is all about.
I got it on a contract with orange which offered me free nokia 8800, a sony PSP, and £200 cash back for a tariff of £75 per month(which included 1600 crossnetwork minutes).
This is unashamedly a luxury phone and bears the hallmarks of Nokias last luxury mobile with a sleek shape and a highly polished metal ...

Nice looking but battery a let down
Review of Nokia 8800 by
lowri745
Advantages: stylish design
Disadvantages: short battery life
I've had this phone (the black sirocco version) for about 6 weeks now and I'm quite pleased with it. Featurewise, there are better phones out there although it has got a 2 megapixel camera and a built in radio. The main selling point of the phone has to be the look and feel of it as it is a very stylish design and feels expensive. In the time I've had it it still looks new and doesn't scratch easily. The biggest letdown is the very short battery life. ...

The nokia 8800, Not as great is i was expecting.
Review of Nokia 8800 by
shelleyangelgreasypalm
Advantages: Looks good, great sound quality on loud speaker function.
Disadvantages: Picture and recording quality, Calling sound quality, display size, ect!
I recently purchased the nokia 8800, with very high expectations. What a disapointment!
The look's on some peoples faces when you pull out this mobile phone is something i cannot complain about, it's all 'wow' and 'how much did that cost?'. And boy oh boy does it make you feel great oh what? But then they see me try to make a call or tug frantickly at the casing to get to the battery before is uses all my credit, Now that is a tad embarrasing. ...

Nokia 8800
Review of Nokia 8800 by
SmilesC
Advantages: sleak looks, clear display, spare battery provided
Disadvantages: heavy, poor battery life, expensive
I have recently bought this Nokia 8800 for a price of £150. I was impressed with the overall look and feel of the phone. It is also nicely sized. The games are quite good graphics and it is a nice phone to show off.
However I am dissapoined with this phone as a small scrach on the screen looks huge and makes the phone look ugly. Another reason is that the battery life is poor.
It is basic you are paying for the looks not the features.
This ...

8800 - The phone that makes dreams come true...
Review of Nokia 8800 by
RichardSpeirs
Advantages: Super Slim, Smart and Sexy
Disadvantages: The Cost!
Well - what can I say about this phone that isn't already blindly obvious from the other reviews here on Ciao. I've had mine for coming up to 5 months and can't fault it.
Its a great phone; nice features; excellent design - has a bit of 'meat' to it as well, which I quite like; semi-good battery life; a funcky 'as' phone charger cradle that pulses blue.
Heafty price tag... but well worth the dosh to impress your mates in the local. An ideal ...

Looks great! but is it all that it seems?
Review of Nokia 8800 by
s786999k
Advantages: looks,
Disadvantages: software problems, marked easily
...it. It's a poser's phone!!
Although Nokia are known for their menu ease for some reason this has been changed on the nokia 8800.
Also Ive noticed that it does have a software problem on mine that few other people I know also noticed where by it switches it self off.
Although for me the main attraction is the looks and the lovely screen. I think you need to look after it a lot. My last phone was a D600 and dropping it, throwing it etc cuased ...

Only Buy For The Looks
Review of Nokia 8800 by
montiuk
Advantages: It looks good
Disadvantages: Navigation, Poor Feel, Cost
When this mobile phone came out in the shops I thought Wow it just looks great in the silver, titanium and black models. I also saw a designer version for well over £1000. Ok so the phone looks good but I think this is a poor model made by nokia, its scratch resistant which is good but with many of the phones being sold today for over £300 its just not worth it. To me you can get much more for your money than this but if you just want a mobile phone ...

the best looking phone
Review of Nokia 8800 by
peanuthead2006
Advantages: stunning looks, good features
Disadvantages: easily scratchable
i just bought this nokia 8800 on pay as you go from ebay for £235 and i am very happy with my product.
i believe that this is the best product on the mobile phone market because of its:
stunning looks
extended features
excellent screen
sliding motion
however the phone is easily breakable and easily scratchable as i have just fitted a gold plated cover which i also got from ebay at the cost of £65
i am told by others that this ...

Advantages: this phone is super stylish with great graphics.
Disadvantages: the battery life and rubbish ring tones.
...time that ive owned a nokia phone, when i saw the 8800 advertised it just looked so stylish i knew i had to have it but the big issue was the price. I was lucky however a friend of mine was able to bring me one back from his holidays in china for just short of £150 bargin.

A wonderful object
Review of Nokia 8800 by
lucas59
Advantages: Stylish, sturdy and very well made.
Disadvantages: Short battery life and small keys.
Having had this phone since it came out and not wanting to change it for anything else, really sums up this piece of designer equipment. It does everything you would expect and more, feels great in the hand and has survived a tough life in my pocket. Its small and compact size with the sliding cover for the key pad makes it ideal for someone like me who does not like bulky items in his trouser pocket which need an extra tight belt to keep the waist ...

King of Mobiles!
Review of Nokia 8800 by
willis1977
Advantages: Looks, user-friendly. 'Nuff said
Disadvantages: Battery life is a little lower than expected
The absolute undisputed King of Mobiles! Yeah, the battery life could perhaps be better, but its difficult to think of anything else wrong with it. Just looks like regal, perfectly formed and attracts attention like nobodies business! User-friendly too, as you'd expect from Nokia. I know its expensive, but this is more than a mobile, its more of a statement of intent. It shows you mean business, and that you know what you want. Alright, suppose there ...

Style over function??
Review of Nokia 8800 by
angie513
Advantages: Stylish, Unique, Fashionable
Disadvantages: Heavy, Slippery!!
the moment i first saw Nokia 8800, i so wanted to buy the handset!! I bought this in november and at that time, no other handset (mostly the looks) can even be compared with this one!! I bought the handset for free with Orange contract (all other network, had to pay nearly 100 pounds). Although the line rental was for 50pounds (500minutes) i changed to cheaper (and less minutes of course) tariff after about 3 month.
I don't usually use all the ...
