So invest in more to recue the risk. The Nokia 8850 is he slickest phone on the market with everything you would expect from a nokia. The only issue that concerns me is that as of yet you cant purchase the handset on orange, for orange. However, a little word of advice to you orange users, it doesnt matter! ...

Advantages: Reliable, Attractive, Excellent Battery Life Disadvantages: Slightly Small Buttons, No WAP
Before purchasing my Nokia 8850 handset I was using a Nokia 7110 (and you will be seeing a review of that shortly, and it won't be as kind) and I really needed to replace it. Enough about the 7110, I'll save that for its review, onto the 8850.
The 8850 is a small handset, probably only three inches in length, though with the slider down it fits nicely between ear and mouth. The first thing you will notice about it is that it is a very pretty phone. ...

...sexy phone.
I have had a Nokia 8850 for a year now. I was so impressed that soon after I got mine I bought another for my girlfriend. Since then Nokia have brought out the 8890, a triband phone (which means you can use it in the USA as well as Europe) which tends to costs an extra 50 quid or so. Here is why I like it my 8850 so much :-
1. Size. The 8850 weighs on 91 g, and is 100 x 44 x 17 mm in dimensions. This is very small and light compared ...

Advantages: Stylish, infrared and modem built in. Disadvantages: Expensive and becomes very hot after extended use.
The Nokia 8850 remains Nokia's premier phone along with its sister the 8890 which is the same phone but with Tri-band functionality meaning that you can use it in the US. The 8850 itself is Dual-band so it work on all major networks in the UK (Vodaphone, Cellnet, Orange, One2One).
The 8850 is encased in a sleek brushed aluminium casing with silver trim and has a black head sporting the Nokia logo. The keypad is accessible via a slider at the front ...

...phone section I found a Nokia 8850 for £177.00 boxed without a sim card and able to use the pay as you go network.
On the value for money side of things I don’t believe that the Nokia 8850 is worth the £177.00 or not even the £250 odd retail price. You pay the extra hundred, as the style is top notch and up to very modern standards. Personally I think the Nokia 8210 is a better buy but to own one of these is much more than an advantage over ...

...best possible feature of the Nokia 8850 is the addition of voice dialling to the phonebook. The phone can store up to eight voice tags for the phonebook. The voice tags enable a number to be called from the phonebook by saying the voice tag added to the desired name and phone number. The voice tags are not language dependent and instead are dependent on the speaker’s voice. The tags are sensitive to the background noise, which is why they should ...

...supremely sexy unit. The Nokia design team certainly went to work with this one, and the finish on the phone is heaven, it's a pleasure to hold the phone. The only problem I personally have with the phone is the black plastic cover over the aeriel on the back of the handset. It detracts from the overall look of the handset, but is a necessary evil, if it was metal the aeriel wouldn't work!
Talking of the aeriel, having it hidden inside the unit ...

Features of the Nokia 8850 you can probably find everywhere else. This is a true and honest opinion regarding how good it is to really use! It's lightweight, and very chic. With a cool silver cover and nice background lighting, plus excellent functions, it may be considered a very useful phone. However, please bear in mind. I have used this phone several times, and not stupid enough to buy it considering the price you have to pay compared to other ...

Advantages: in my opinion it is perfect in every way Disadvantages: price
I got this phone as a replacement of 8810 and I loved it from the minute I got it. It is very light, compact and looks very stylish (well, in my opinion anyway). It also has more functions then the 8810 and the voice dialling feature is definitely a bonus. I also had a few problems with the battery getting loose on my 8810 and this one doesn't have this problem at all. The main drawback I think is the price (about £400) and also because it is so small ...

...phone I saw - the nokia 8110. This has many of the functions of its predecestor including slid on cover and inbuilt ariel. However, for the price you pay for it, is all this worth it? Unlike its predecesor this phone doesn't get covered with greasy finger prints and the slate gray cover actually protects it from that. It may not be the type of phone for big fingered people like me because the keys are so small. In addition, it is a phone that is easy ...
