Advantages Advantages Looks good, lightweight, excellent camera, music player, good battery life

Disadvantages Disadvantages Keys may be too small for larger fingers

Everyone has something that they are into, not so much a hobby but an interest - say for instance most men like gadgets, most women like shoes and handbags. I would say that mine is toiletries and cosmetics which I think is probably reflected in a lot of the reviews I have written on Ciao. Ask me a question about the latest perfumes on the market or who makes Airflash foundation and I am pretty sure to know the answer however ask me anything about technology and gadgets and I am quite useless! Luckily for me my fiancé Dave loves his gadgets and anything technological so if I ever have a query ... more

I've had the N73 for a couple of days now, and all I can say is that I'm nothing short of amazed. It is a simply incredible phone, with a feature set to blow your mind, and a camera as good as your proper digital camera, to an extent :) Ease of Use I must admit, that this phone isn't the easiest thing to use. This is down to it being a Symbian series 60 mobile phone, which is a pretty complicated OS. Having said that though, you can get used to anything and this isn't that complicated. It most certainly shouldn't be a deal-breaker, but it is something to get used to. There are many ways of ... more

    Advantages Advantages The amazing camera!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Its attraction to dust!

First impressions can be deceiving, and I have to say that is true of the Nokia N73. Most people I've asked have said it looks quite big and bulky. Never the less I bought one because I really like it! From a first glance it does appear to be oversized compared too many of the slinky mobile phones in the market nowadays. The colour may not do the phone any good initially, but the housing can easily be changed. Admittedly this is quite difficult as they are quite difficult to remove, needing special tools to remove the fascias, a T6 screwdriver and an opening tool. Although if the new housing ... more

Advantages Advantages Really good camera, Easy to use with lots of features

Disadvantages Disadvantages It can run slowly and the updates are not reliable

I have owned Nokia mobile phones for years, changing it every year for an upgrade. I moved away from Nokia to a Samsung phone for one year and regretted it. The phone I had was great but I don’t believe you can beat how simple it is to use a Nokia phone and that no matter which one you get, the navigation and lay out is generally the same and very simple to use. After my year contract was up I moved back to purchasing a Nokia. 6 months ago I moved from 02 to 3 as a lot of my friends were on 3, it seemed like a good network to move to (It turned out to be true but that’s another review!). I ... more

Advantages Advantages Good camera, typically easy to use, amazing video quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages Feels flimsy, X series has more bugs than a nature documentary

This is technically the best Nokia camera phone on the market with it's 3.2mp camera, pipping the Nokia N93 by 0.2 of a megapixel. The only phone on the market that equals it is the Sony Ericsson K800i, which has the same quality camera. However, as is always the case whenever I get a "state of the art Nokia", I find myself noticing adverts for the 5 megapixel N95, to be released in March. It would be nice if Nokia could spend a little more time celebrating their existing phones, rather than reminding you that your phone will no longer be top of the range in a few months. LOOKS Anyway, onto ... more

I purchased the Nokia N73 as a replacement for my Current 6230i. It was the only phone out at the time i bought which really took my eye with its style, colour and most of all...features. The handset is a bar style design and is available in a range of colours. Mine is the Purple backed one, which i was given with no choice buy the operator at the time. The phone looks stunning from the outset. The N73 weighs 116 grams & measures 110 x 49 x19 mm in total which is a compact & well designed handset. The phone is full of the latest technology and programs designed to enhance the users experience ... more

Advantages Advantages Camera, Range of applications

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life when viewing media, Technicality of device

After previously owning a Nokia handsets then switching over to sony erricson, when i saw this phone up for grabs in a contract with Three i decided to give it a go with the X-series silver addon. (Mobile internet, Msn,Ebay,Skype,Web browsing, etc.) The mobile itself perhaps comes accross as a little heavy and bulky for the average user to begin with but the compatability and extensive range of features and applications for this little device soon makes up for it. The keypad layout takes some getting used to but is really usefull featureing 4 extra buttons around the side of the numbers. The ... more

Advantages Advantages Stylish, Light, Durable, Great Call Quality, 3G

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slow OS, Missing Features, Poor Web, Not Intuitive

I am a big fan of Nokia phones; they have always been intuitive, stylish, and with excellent performance, but I would have to question Nokia's implementation of the Symbian OS on their handsets. The N73 is a smartphone - basically a handheld computer which happens to also be able to make and receive phone calls. Great idea, and with 3G built in it means you can stay connected to the internet (and MSN Messenger, Skype, Email, etc) on the move. Whilst call quality is excellent, there are some problems with the rest of the phone. The most devastating issue is Symbian OS. It's slow and dis ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bit Plasticky, Supplied PC software doesn't seem to work out of the box

I have had this phone for a few days now and have been very impressed so far: LOOK AND FEEL: I wouldn't go as far as to say the phone is stunning but it is still a very nice looking phone. It comes in a few different colour variations and I have the plum/sliver. It's reasonably large (110 x 49 x 19mm) so if you're after a tiny handset then this isn't for you, but it's not heavy (116g) and I find the size/weight just about right. It's slightly bigger and heavier than my old phone (SE w800i). Most of its size however is taken due to the large screen. It's not the sturdiest phone I've ever used ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent screen quality, fantastic camera, sensible key layout

Disadvantages Disadvantages Prone to freezing, slow start-up, slow with memory card inserted

I was very pleased when offered an early upgrade by 3, and for no cost, especially when I discovered my choice included this phone! As soon as I took it out the box, this handset seemed well made. The plastics used with this phone don't look or feel cheap, and it has sustained being dropped a few times so far - it's a good job really, as I am quite clumsy! The phone is quite heavy, but not excessively so and in my opinion helps it not to feel cheap! The buttons are all sensibly laid out. Buttons are quite small, though, so people with big fingers may find themselves pressing the wrong key ... more
