Advantages Advantages More advanced than all the gadgets in Q's laboratory put together

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slide mechanism does not spring open and shut, battery life (again!)

Introduction Once upon a time, in November 2001, ye olde company of Nokia announced its first smart phone, the 7650. Instead of separating these smart phones into their own, scary, techno-geek-type product class, Nokia simply positioned them as the most functional phones. They showed off the phone's most widely-appealing functions such as SMS, MMS and the (for its time) advanced camera function and hid away the scary, techno-geek abilities of its operating system. So it was, that Nokia cunningly planned the marketing for the 7650, and for the 26 other smart phones, of which the N80 is one ... more

Advantages Advantages Can do just about anything, good quality camera, WiFi connectivity

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life!

I'm a bit weird - when it comes to upgrading phones that is! I've never had a contract because I can't say I really spend that long on the phone, and when I do need to contact someone, usually one or two quick, short texts seems to suffice. I've lived with my Nokia 6630 for a good two years now, and I liked it so much that when I came to browse the market (or eBay, as is so often the case), I really found myself only looking at Nokia phones. I go through this process about once every other month, but always stop at the last minute when I ask myself: Do I really need ANOTHER phone? The answer ... more

Advantages Advantages Brilliant Screen, Millions of Features

Disadvantages Disadvantages Size, Battery Life - Sort it out Nokia!!

Well, time for another review because I want to voice my opinion about my new phone that I just got as an upgrade. It cost me £50 and I'm now tied into an 18 month contract at £35 pound per month with orange. I would recommend getting this phone on contract unless you want to spend £400+ on a phone! The main reason I got this phone is because I'm one of these people who has to have the best of everything available and after a lot of research the N80 is what I decided on. FIRST IMPRESSIONS ************************* It comes packaged nicely in a big box and comes with a lot of extras compared to ... more

Ok so I've had this phone for about a month now and i thought i would share with you what i like and dont like about the phone and its features. The look: You may have read in other reviews that the phone is too bulky, well I dont agree, considering that this is a symbian phone, with a very large high resolution display, and just about every feature you can think of , I'd say its just about the right size to feel comfortable in your hand and give easy access to all the buttons, although it may be a little thick. Also note that the phone is of very high quality and all buttons / mechanisms feel ... more

Advantages Advantages Lots of features, Camera resolution, Screen resolution

Disadvantages Disadvantages Size is not as small as some

Another 10 months passed time for another phone! Having perused the market place and what was available on Orange my network provider I decided on the Nokia N80. The Sony Ericsson K600i was retired to the top draw of the bedside table and a shiny new N80 was unboxed and charged. The Retail Packaging -------------------------------------------------------------------------- For a phone these days the box is quite large, but there is a reason for this as there is a fair bit tucked away inside. Inside the box you get the following bits and bobs:- • The phone (of course) • Battery • ... more

Hi, i've had this phone for about a month or so now and i have to say it is the best phone i have ever had, but then again, i've never actually had a nokia phone until now! Included in the box is: Manual Battery A charger Memory card 128MB (that's the size i received anyway) Head phones/ Handsfree Data cable Charger cable converter A pop port converter for sending out audio to a 3.5mm jack plug Strap I got mine on Orange and i could only get it in the stainless steel, other providers may have the choice of stainless steel or black. It's a slide phone and weighs 134g, has a blue LED backlight ... more

I've had this phone for just over 2 weeks now and I have to say I'm chuiffed. I've been hanging out for a wifi enabled phone for a while now and this baby really fits the bill. For you guys that don't know, wifi enabled phones allow you to access the internet through your phone without having to pay your network extortionate fees for doing so. The best place to demonstrate the flexibility it allows is in the home. Instead of having to turn your computer on to say check your emails or a bit of news, you just go to your phone connect to the internet through your wireless network and hey presto ... more

I have had my Nokia N80 for almost 2 months now, so feel I know enough about it to write a review. I'm not going to spend ages telling you all the different features it has, just go to the Nokia website if you want to know. Instead I feel I have more important stuff to let you know. Firstly I'll let you know all the phones bad points. And to be honest there are quite a few. To begin with it's the battery life. I can only just manage to get a day out of it. I don't see myself as being a heavy user either, but after taking a few photos, playing a bit of music and numerous call throughout the day ... more

Advantages Advantages Stylish, trendy, attractive, you won't be embarrased to use in public...

Disadvantages Disadvantages You might want to change the ring tones, slow loading applications

I was given this phone as an upgrade to the N70, which was very similar, just without the sliding mechanism. I won't go on about the many, many applications and extras this phone offers as you can read them on the Nokia website, and I'm sure the info will be more accurate... I will list the functions that I use most and items I considered important: Back to the phone; Firstly in the most basic terms, as a mobile phone, the reception is good, the caller is always clear and there have been no problems with recieving, diverting, setting up answer machines etc. If you just want a good phone, that ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Flakey software and poor battery life

With a feature list that keeps on coming, the N80 promises a lot and delivers .. quite a bit. For any "smart" phone, the main attraction is the list of goodies and Nokia certainly jammed a good part of the sweet shop into the N80's attractive, mid-size package. And the sweeties mostly do the job. The 3 megapixel camera may not have auto-focus, but it produces reasonable quality stills and better than average video. There are also a number of options - like White Balance, Sepia, Black & White - that would only have been seen on a dedicated camera up until very recently. The music player may ... more
