Poor, flimsy to the touch phone 03/08/2008

Disadvantages Poor camera, physically weak and flimsy phone

The whole phone feels flimsy and poorly built, on dropping the phone once on a reasonably forgiving surgace, the top button (where the speaker is, which lights up to give zoom-in/out functions in the gallery) cracked, leaving a gaping hole in the phone. the main function buttons of the phone (call, hang-up, options, exit etc) feel flimsy and like they are being held onto the phone by sellotape, and sound as if they are when pressed. the camera quality is extremely poor (very very grainy in low light where most phones will take high quality pictures). The new NOKIA N-SERIES (N81-8GB) has got to be one of the most sufisticated mobiles on todays market, with its gaming feature combined with the touch sensitive 'navi-weel' it gives a very unique impressioin to anyone who will give it a first glance...the amount of great features available on this new N-GAGE is breathtakingly outstanding... this phone stands out amoungst all the other new mobile phones on todays market. less

i've been using nokia n81 for d past 2 months......n really dis phone is a bundle of d most xcitin things.d display is awesme.....2.4inch....its big. d music (embedded speakers), Wi-Fi feature n ofcrse gaming is jst out of d word. Headphones r jst rockin...ultimate music experience...gud 4 music lovers. Dedicated music keys r jst too handy. The podcasts feature is very new n gud. And ofcrse d sliding part is jst enough to take u off.....its marvelous. Disadvantage: navi wheel do respond unnecesaarily at times......bt dats too very rarely. less

Advantages Robust, damage resistant, easy to use, lots of features
Disadvantages Easy to catch small keys accidently, charger is flimsy.

Iv had this phone just over 7 months now, It is a very robust and hardy phone, It has a lot of features and mod cons to it, Its not exactly small or nimble but it has a great amount of music memory in it, And Its quite good at absorbing damage too, I dropped mine down 3 flights of concrete stairs into a puddle and Its still working. Iv never had bad signal anywhere with this phone and I travel a lot with my job. I find the interface quite simple and easy to use, However its quite easy to hit the music buttons and find music randomly playing at you which can be annoying at times. The battery ... more

I recently purchased the nokia n81 8gb from ebay. It's a great phone that's packed with features. I read many reviews before i brought the phone, and lots of reviewers said the front of the phone clustered. After the first two days of use though I got used to this and i enjoyed having the music controls on the front of the fascia. The wifi and internet browser were excellent quality for a mobile phone and i found them very easy to use. I also demoed the new n-gage gaming application and i can say that the graphics were outstanding for a mobile phone. The music player worked well on the phone ... more

very passionate, bluetooth fast, beautiful screen, I recommend that a handphone, this is very most style for your like technologi. believe that. I have evidence. but for me the user with high capacity, the weakness in the battery is too extravagant. may be more on the increase. less

Advantages Looks very nice, Symbian S60, 8GB storage, NGage, FM Tuner, reads texts out.
Disadvantages Badly placed media buttons, camera doesn't focus on close objects, names reversed in message centre.

First, what I like: I love this phone. It looks nice and sleek (better than the N95, in my opinion), and has all the features I need of a phone. Plus, 8gb of storage! Has NGage, reads out your texts for you, has a camera on both sides of the phone (for video messaging), and a nice large screen. Now, the downsides: The only main letdown is the 2megapixel camera. I don\'t personally need a better one, but there are focussing problems if I\'m trying to focus on something closer than 30cm away. The only other main issue I\'ve run into is the buttons.
