Everything you need to know about the N95

Advantages: It does what it says on the tin (and more)
Disadvantages: Battery life could be better.

...Texting is predictably good, Nokia dictionary is easy to add to, input styles can be switched, symbols (including a new-line character finally!) inserted etc. I was quite impressed to see if you choose input language as “French” for example it has a French dictionary associated and correctly accents letters. Maybe this is a common feature in modern phones- I’d never noticed it before. There are also some refinements over the N80 in form, such as ...
...camera phone, and I think Nokia have done well with answering the obvious criticisms from earlier phones- namely, they’ve implemented autofocus (although it’s slow enough to hurt), and they’ve included a very durable cover switch (so your lens doesn’t get ruined). Add to that a few higher-end photo features like white-balance, scene modes (portrait mode etc), the obligatory carl zeiss lens and I think they have a winner in the phone camera-category. ...

...the Symbian OS (read my Nokia 6630 review for a better understanding) due to the fact it is more superior to the Windows OS that you find in PDA's. This is where the Nokia N95 steps in. You see, not only does it use the Symbian OS, but Nokia's in general are easy to use, elegant in appearance and exceedingly practical for a geek like me. I have to admit that I've always owned a Nokia, but having said that, I've played with many others and taking ...
...end Symbian Smart Phone, the Nokia 6630, but the question was 'What to?' I tried the N80 when that first came out, but I came across problems in design which turned me off it immediately. I looked at the N91 and N93, but again these were either to bulky or just generally to lame looking, certainly not something I'd expect from Nokia, then we saw the release of the N95, a simple looking device that packs a punch. Before I begin my full review of ...

...and does it well. Nokia have clearly put a lot of thought into the design of the menus and I get the feeling they might have even tried using the phone for a couple of days before putting them on the shelves! The detailed specification and many functions and features are covered in some excellent reviews but I'd like to expand upon my experience with the phone and the areas where I found it excels and the few areas that could be better. Its all ...
...virtually everything, it's as if Nokia went through a very demanding user's wish list and then threw in a few additional features just to shut him up! i.e.: Large (2.6") screen (I believe the 8Gb model is 2.8") 5 megapixel camera with flash! And red-eye reduction and auto-focus! 2nd VGA camera (primarily for video calls) also with flash! Stereo speakers - perfectly adequate for normal listening (I listen to mine in the shower - don't tell Nokia) ...

Nokia N95 - Batteries not included.

Advantages: GPRS, Web, 5 MP camera, speakers.
Disadvantages: Battery life, Prone to crashing.

The Nokia N95, such a hyped up handset from the worlds leading mobile handset manufacturer. I bought the N95 when it first came out, couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Satellie navigation i thought on a phone...wow. I am very into new gadgets ,especially mobile phones and find myself changing my handset and even my contracts regularly just to get the latest technology. Sad...maybe, but gadgets are cool and this one is no exception. When it arrived ...
...cable, wall charger, manuals and nokia software suite. I eargerly assembled the handset and plugged it into the wall to charge, with a view of leaving it there for at least 16 hours (full battery charge cycle). This will aid the battery in holding 100% of its capacity during charging cycles. Always do this with a new phone, you'll thank yourself for doing it when your battery lasts that little bit much longer during your ownership of it. Looking ...

The Nokia N95

Advantages: Good quality with plenty of great features and applications
Disadvantages: Short battery life, may occasionally freeze

The Nokia n95 was first released on sale in the UK at the beginning of 2007. It was one of the most advanced phones available at this time. It has a lot to offer the owner. First of all, the display is a 240 x 360 TFT display with ambient light detector and up to 16million different colours to take your fancy. The display is quite clear with not a lot of icons to clutter up the space. The signal and battery levels are illustrated in the top corners ...

Nokia N95

Advantages: Too many to mention
Disadvantages: disappointing sat nav

I recently purchased the Nokia N95 I have now had it for about two weeks, I haven't had a chance to use all the features, but have used quite a few and had a play around. So thought I would write a review and then update it as I try more and more of the features. The N95 is packed with features and this review could last for days if I explained them all. I'm going to concentrate on the most used and interesting features. Lets start with the look ...
...My other half has a Nokia N73 and when they are side by side the phones look very similar the difference and in my opinion the benefit of the N95 is the screen size. The screen is large for such a compact phone, it is 2.6 inch all the technical specifications can be found on Nokia's website so I won't bore you: http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4344017 What makes the phone compact is the way it slides open. It slides up to reveal the number keys and the picture ...

The Bugatti Veyron of Phones

Advantages: It does everything. Literally, everything.
Disadvantages: Cheap it ain't. How long until Nokia announce one that is twice as good?

...you have any sim free Nokia N95's in stock?" "Well, yes we do but they are very expensive" "Duh." So this is how I came to part with £469.99 for a mobile phone. Of course I was aware it's expensive. Everyone has had that advert tattooed into their retinas. The man pulls lots of things out of his pocket. A map, a stereo, a photo. But wait! It's all in one phone! Who exactly would assume that a 5 megapixel camera, DVD camcorder, Satnav system with ...
...OF USE Once again, Nokia stick with their tried and trusted menu method. If you're used to Nokias there is nothing here that will baffle you, and everything on the screen is big and clear. Navigation is done with the large central button, and the texting system is the same as always - still the easiest predictive text system in the world, by the way. On the side you have your camera buttons, fast access to your gallery, and your volume/zoon switch. ...

...stick with something like a Nokia 3210! The real reason for this phone is all the none phone related things it can do, a jack of all trades that whilst not a master of any of them, does a pretty damn good job of trying. You can see why it's refered to as a multimedia computer as it's far in excess of what a average PC could do just 10 years ago. I'll start with the features I was most impressed by as I believe most people after one will want them ...
...At 5mp it's not great, good but compared to any digital camera of more than 3mp and you'll see the difference. 5mp was just a number for them to use in advertising which is a disappointment, though stick it at 3mp and it's more than good enough and as good as you'll see from a phone. Not great, but good enough. At the time of receiveing one as a contract upgrade I was happy as the camera was the main thing I wanted from it, I was beginning to get ...

...those Spanish, Japanese, instructions. The Nokia N95 is a high tech mobile which carry-on all those recognisable Nokia traits that any techno tortoise can follow. The graphics are delightful without going over the top, it reminds me of my first 3G phone. Yeah I do think the Nokia N95 is revolutionary... it is the next step towards 4G mobile phone media. The internal storage alone makes the N95 more capable of carrying digital data for a longer term. ...

The slider protects the keypad from any unfortunate spillages.. not that I have tried, nor intend to find out. I want to get a lot of mileage from this mobile over the next 2 years. I did expect a couple of sticky episodes regarding the workability of the mobile.. I have had no sticky patches as yet, as stated in a few Nokia N95 forums ...

The Nokia N95

Advantages: Excellent services
Disadvantages: Large in size

...beginning: I bought the nokia N95 when it came newly on the market. It was brought through a contract with o2 after I closed my sim only contract where I payed £25 a month (I think). o2 rang me and asked me if I wanted an upgrade and truthfully I was looking to buy a new phone as I originally had a nokia 6600, which as you may well know is nearly the size of a brick (although the nokia n95 isn't really any smaller). Anyway the o2 supervisor asked ...
...at that time was the nokia N95. When the o2 supervisor mentioned it had a navigation system, I thought 'I'll have that please' so agreed to buy it on contract. I didn't know which colours they had and which colour I was going to get but I came to have the plum colour one, which I preferred in comparison to the 'brownie' coloured one. I have much more memory space in this phone and a great video recording time length. I can also save much more messages ...

...Unless you already own a Nokia product, the menu could take a while to get used to, as with any new phone, things are in different places and extra items are added. There are two menus on this phone, and they are situated either side of the middle buttons. ...have my own mp3 player but it comes in useful if you dont have it with you etc. It separates your songs into categories such as artists, songs, albums etc, like any other mp3 player. The only downside is that when you recieve a text message it cuts out for 1 or 2 seconds to allow it to come through then starts playing again. I am not yet sure how many songs can be put onto the phone but i guess it depends on how much memory you have. Songs can be ...

...worked very very well, the Nokia maps software i found was really not up to the job. It took around 10 minutes to sync with an orbiting Satellite to locate and give you your GPS position. Nokia Maps software (preloaded on the N95) comes with a three-day free trial licence for Nokia's navigation service, allowing user not only to plan routes ahead of time, as they can with the free version, but also to try out the app's turn-by-turn guidance, which ...

...quite quickly. Now, the Nokia N95's strong point was it's camera and media abilities. It features a 5MP camera, and a video recorder that records in VGA at 30fps. Now, in terms of the video quality , it is very impressive. You could easily watch it on the telly and it's still quite good. Very clear. However, the photos are another matter. Yes, they are also very clear. However, there is little to no difference in the quality between the Nokia 5MP ...
...Another feature of the Nokia N95 is the GPS, which is like a built in TomTom, however in honesty this really isn't even worth taking into account. The phone takes at least 5-10 minutes to even lock onto your location, and really makes using it very difficult and quite pointless. My advise, if you want this feature, is to buy an actual TomTom or similar! Another major flaw is the Wireless LAN. The phone regularly just doesn't pick up the wireless ...

Nokia N 95 The phone which created history, many records & many stories. If I say that this phone is the "phone of the decade" than there should not be surprise. People around the world was very crazy to have this phone as soon as it enter into the market. Though nokia N95 have a lot of good feature & even some one can get it very easily with store sites, so here I don't think it's important to discuss in detail about them, but I will appreciate the 5MP camera, it's safe, looks, music player, sounds & the internet browsing.
