Advantages Advantages Excellent range and quality.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Slightly pricey.

I love garden centres and Notcutts is one I visit regularly. My nearest branch is just off the M42, junction 4, south of Solihull. This is the only Notcutts I have ever used although they do have a further 12 around the midlands and south east. This branch has a large car park which is shared with Tesco, so at busy times it can take a while to find a space. On walking into the garden centre you first go through the cut flowers section. This always smells lovely. Their flowers are not the cheapest but the quality looks excellent. If I wanted to buy flowers as a gift I would choose them from ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellant for gifts plants and pets .

Disadvantages Disadvantages Time goes to quickly .

Notcutts is a chain of 13 garden centers around the country. They were established in 1897 and have a wide range of different plants both indoor and outdoor. Their nurseries stock over 3000 types of hardy plants each carrying a two-year guarantee. They are well set out and it is easy to find what you are looking for . If you cant there are always members of staff happy to help you. All plants are clearly priced . Each has its own name label on it .I had never seen so many different pots in one place until I went to Solihulls Notcutts. They stock many different types in many different colours ... more

    Advantages Advantages Near city centre

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be expensive

Notcutts garden centre is very near Norwich city centre and useful for picking up the old compost on the way home. They have all the usual garden fair and some unusual plants to boot. There is a wide variety of climbing plants, shrubs and perennials as well as hanging baskets and houseplants and a range of orchids and cacti. They also sell paving and outdoor ornaments as well as lots of crafts, books pictures and candles. At Christmas they have a lovely range of Christmas trees and balls, the Christmas hanging variety, and it is a bit like Santa's grotto for the big kids out there. There is ... more

    Advantages Advantages Welcoming garden centre

    Disadvantages Disadvantages too pricey

Shopped a few times at Notcutts in Staines. Presentation was neat and tidy throughout but was put off by their prices. £3.99 for 6 pansies seemed well over the top, especially if your considereing filling up an entire border in your garden. Helpful staff though. I think all garden centres have gone through a tough year since the crisis as the last thing people think about when short of money is buying plants for their garden. May if they were to do a budget line of plants then this might encourage people to think about gardening without breaking the bank. Some garden centres have an expensive ... more
