Advantages: A glossy magazine with a free magazine inside, plenty of celebrity gossip Disadvantages: None
I go through fits and starts when it comes to reading magazines. Long gone though, are the days of reading “Woman” or “Woman’s Own”, which were practically the only available women’s magazines printed at one time.
For the past couple of years, I have been buying “OK” from our local newsagent. The magazine is issued weekly, and at the time of writing, is on its 383rd publication. The magazine devotes itself to stories about celebrities, from the ... ...have spread out on my desk has 130 pages and retails at £2.
The most appealing thing about the magazine is it’s glossy, thick pages. So many of the magazines currently on sale, are produced cheaply and this is reflected in the quality of the paper used. “OK” is large, glossy and shouts “quality”!
Also contained with each issue of “OK” is another magazine: “Hot Stars”, which is also glossy, and contains gossip packed reading material.
The front ...

Advantages: Great interviews, great gossip, great pictures! Disadvantages: none
When I started reading Ok I was looking for a magazine that would really interest me, i've always been interested in celebrities and liked to know what they were up to! I had tried Hello magazine and various other fashion mags but none of them really made me want to go out every week and buy them.
Now dont get me wrong I do like to know about the latest fashions and make up but I really dont need to read like 20 pages (maybe not that many but you ... ...magazines did just that. Ok however is different, there are fashion pages and there are pages on make up but I find they are just enough to be informative and interesting without being too over the top!
Right, so we've got fashion and make up, it also has lots of lovely juicy gossip about celebrities and I do find that it's usually very up to date and accurate. You'll also find that most celebrities trust Ok therefore will always go to them first ...

Advantages: Full of gossip, free Hot Stars magazine! Disadvantages: Far more pictures than text, lots of adverts too!
OK quite simply for me is the equivalent of The Bible to Christians, a CD player to music lovers and a dummy to a baby… I couldn’t live without it!
I first started buying OK last year, before then my mum had always bought it to decorate the coffee table and make her look younger, contemporary and up to date with gossip! Upon my routine visit to the newsagents I was horrified to realise I’d already read all my usual, Cosmopolitan, More and Company ... ...and have since become an OK addict – if they had the counterpart of AA for OK, I’d be first in the queue every week at meetings, that’s how serious it is! I look forward to a Wednesday when I know I’ll be able to get my new copy and curl up on my bed devouring it page by page.
So what do you actually get?
Well quite simply it’s a gossip magazine – but an upmarket one at that and also features longer editorials and several page spreads on a celebrity. ...

Advantages: nice pics Disadvantages: not enough writing
OK is a magazine that sells 25 million copies per year. It is a big, glossy mag that contains hundreds of photos of celebrities. It prides itself on being the ‘first for celebrity weddings’, and the most recent issue has Jade Goody’s exclusive wedding pics in it. Again, I’m not the target audience for this sort of mag (being a male) but I happened to see my wife’s copy on the sofa and thought it would be interesting to review.
Coming in at a huge ... ...NEWS: The value of the so called ‘news’ in this mag is questionable, but if you are turned on by the idea of seeing photos of Katie and Peter out jogging, then this is the mag for you. Basically, any celeb spottings are found in this section, with hardly any writing. There is no focus on ‘real’ news, in the traditional sense, so don’t make that mistake!
FEATURES: This is where you’ll find the cover stories, such as Jade’s weddings. Many of the stories ...

Advantages: Exclusive celebrity news, facts not rumours, not badly priced Disadvantages: Your arms ache from reading it because it's so thick!
OK! Magazine is the best magazine for celebrity gossip. For just £2.50 you get OK!, OK! USA and Hot Stars. They each offer you a selection of the week's best celebrity news, that's right, just the week. Who would have thought so much happened in a week.
OK! offers exclusive pictures and interviews with the hottest star, I'm sure every single famous person has been shown in this magazine at one time or another. Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica ... ...backstage gossip and pictures from big red carpet events and the latest from Cannes film festival.
What I like about this magazine is that it doesn't insult and embarrass celebrities like other magazine. It's more about giving you the facts than rumours. With so many celebrities willing to give interviews and pictures of their families and homes to the magazine it must be trusted amongst the A-list too.
There is also the classic Agony Aunt and ...

Advantages: Packed full of gossip and celebs Disadvantages: NONE!
I have gone out of my way every single week to buy this magazine and I haven't regreted buying any of the issues. Firstly, I bought this magazine due to the fact that Katie Price was on it -im a HUGE fan!- and it was long before she met Peter. It used to have two magazines -OK! and Hot Stars- for the reasonable price of £2. But they aren't like your usual mags. They take a really long time to read *in a good way* OK! is packed full of information ... ...gossip pages, certain celebs get their own column, there are puzzles, horoscopes plus much, much more! Recently they have added another small magazine inside-OK! USA- and have put the price upto £2.50 which isn't a huge difference really.
I still buy it and I dont plan to stop buying it!
p.s Katie Price, Peter Andre and family are probably the most common celebs seen on the cover =] ...

Invariably this magazine always ends up at the local doctors for people to flick through whilst waiting their turn in a room full of spluttering bug riddled patients.
