Women Rule OK!

AdvantagesProbably the Best Celebrity Magazine around

DisadvantagesCreates a False Impression of Life

"...is about issue 313 of OK! dated May 2 2002 purchased from our local Tesco store. HOT STARS OK! is sold weekly and costs GBP 1.95. A free packet of Milky Bar Munchies was attached to the magazine. There was also a free copy of 'Hot Stars' magazine. The Munchies tasted like globules of Milky Bar filled with biscuit. Yummy but calorific. I doubt if I can get my weight below 20 stone ever again. 'Hot Stars' was like one of those magazine ..." Read review

GOSSIP CENTRAL

AdvantagesNone

Disadvantagespricey

"...one, you not only get OK! But inside you get Hot Stars very similar lay out to Heat magazine, included in this is your TV guide and latest video and DVD rentals including book releases. OK! Is a staggering 146 pages long and with the insert inside make it an extra 82 pages long! So considering this mage is nearly 2.00GBP you certainly get value for money. The length on the magazine depends on the amount of celeb gossip during the week before. Inside ..." Read review

OK the cheaper gossip mag

AdvantagesCheaper than 'HELLO!'

DisadvantagesNot many interviews

"...and lets get into the OK! mag and whats inside.....bla......bla......bla........ I have already said the magazine costs £1.85 which is quite a lot but I think is worth the money! (That may be because I like lots of gossip!~Even though most of it isn't true!) OK! is the real mag for the latest celebrity news, well so they say! 'HELLO!' another different gossip mag is basically the same, but more expensive and more interviews. I have noticed OK dosen't ..." Read review

Found in waiting rooms

AdvantagesGreat colour photographs.

DisadvantagesVery little other than photos

"I really wonder why I am lowering myself down to read this the level of journalism (or lack of) found it this so-called glossy magazine, Okay! Is this magazine, for gossip magazine what the ‘Daily Sport’ has done newspaper journalism? The cover claims to have articles on celebrities but on opening the front few pages, the reader is hard pushed to find any written information in amongst the numerous pictures! OK! Magazine is advertised ..." Read review

NOTHING SPECIAL, JUST OK

AdvantagesGood value for money and free extra magazine

DisadvantagesNot much to actually read!

"Every now and then I tire of my cross-stitching or computing magazines, find I've read the Radio Times from cover to cover, and feel like splashing out a handful of coins on something else for light reading. My usual first option in these cases is "Heat" magazine but one particularly week of frenzied magazine reading found me finishing that weeks issue and needing something else. I wandered up to my local newsagents and purused what was on offer. ..." Read review

Ok Doh-key

AdvantagesBarrel scraping articles

DisadvantagesGood for a laugh

"Is there a difference between OK and Hello magazine? If there is then could someone please tell me what it is. Both of them use the same kind of fonts, layout and have the same kind of content, yet both of them co-exist is the same universe. That's a pity as the world would be a better place without them. OK Magazine is frankly nothing more than a good laugh. What it does is give some people the opporutnity to exploit their celebrity and fawn ..." Read review

OK - Oh dear

Advantagespretty pictures

Disadvantageshow long can you look at pictures?

"If five minutes of reading is worth the cover price then this magazine is good value. Otherwise....... Not the sort of thing I'd buy, but a friend and I swapped magazines on holiday and this is what I'd got. It took just a few minutes & I was astonished to find I'd read it all. I went back and read the stuff I wasn't interested in and hadn't read 1st time round. Just another two or three minutes. Morbidly fascinated I bought the next edition and set ..." Read review

Quite OK by me

AdvantagesLight heart fun

Disadvantagesnone

"I was given a trial copy by a newsagent, so really I had nothing to lose. A good gossipy read, keeping us up to date with the in celebs, although Posh Spice does appear a little to often, but that just my opinion. A weekly magazine so it is bang up to date. A fun read maybe to pass away a wet sunday afternoon, I'd probably buy it to read on a plane or at an airport, or if something on the cover realy caught my eye. It's good value for a weekly magazine ..." Read review

Beckhams Diary

AdvantagesGood for gossip

Disadvantagestoo much beckhams

"I think that OK magazine should be renamed something like "David & Victoria - another exciting episode" It is all they seem to be interested in these days. I'm reminded of the joke. How does David Beckham change a lightbulb ? Holds it in and waits for the world to revolve around him. I used to look forward to reading all the gossip on a wide range of celebrities from here and abroad. Having said this a friend of mine has been collecting OK magazine ..." Read review

O.K is O.K by me

AdvantagesGreat peek at the stars with their approval

DisadvantagesSociety events don't interest me and why is there a t.v page ?

"I have to admit that I am one of those sad people who likes to keep upto date with what the celebs are up to. I like the glossy exterior of this magazine and find the content a lot more appealing than Hello. I also like the way it focuses on those celebs who have had new babies. After having your own child you seem to take interest in anything to do with babies and it is nice to see them and find out how the celebs handled labour as it seems to make ..." Read review

"ok" its not that bad !!

AdvantagesCheap !!

DisadvantagesToo much on Victoria & David Beckham !!

"Well, I must admitt, at first I didnt like this magazine at all... but it has started to grow on me. I just want to see alot less of Victoria beckham.. the world doesnt revolve around her, so I dont want to see her on every single page!! I first I saw Tom Crise on the front, and thats why I bought it... and I wasnt that impressed, the slogan on the front had nothing to do with the artical, I was quite annoyed. Admittedly, the magazine does ..." Read review

It is a OK magazine

Advantages-

Disadvantages-

" This is a glossy magazine which has all the latest gossip from the world of show biz. It has all the top photographs and covers most of the top celebrity event. It pays huge amounts of money to bring the readers exclusives like David Beckham wedding photographs. So, if the events on the story will be in ‘OK’. It’s a very bright magazine with loads of colourful photographs, I think some time it has a bit too many photographs and ..." Read review

OK is not ok by me

Advantagesnone

Disadvantagesread above

"OK? Pardon? This is hardly OK! This magazine epitomises everything I hate about the modern media and its ridiculous obsession with glamour, success and want of material goods. OK, like its rival Hello, glamorises the lives of minor celebrities so that us, the common folk, can sit in envy at their wonderful houses, fireplaces and their unrequited love for each other. On every page of the magazine we are presented with an ideal world where everything ..." Read review

Glossy stars

Advantagessee the photos exclusive

Disadvantages-

" OK is a magazine dedicated to the stars of this world from Hollywood stars to footballer...... It does any pays huge sums to make sure they have exclusive pictures to the wedding, christenings of these people. And the stars sell the rights to them, to give the public the photo of all that important day, and for them it’s a whopping big pay cheque. The magazine has mainly photographs and occasionally visits the homes of the ‘rich ..." Read review
