Advantages Advantages Awesome gfx, and its just plain ODD

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slightly repetitive game play

From the box: "Munch on This! Play as the Gabbit with odditude, Munch, and his flatulent side-kick, Abe, as they lead a lab rat revolution. Munch has been captured, poked, probed and generally violated by the greedy corporate sickos, the Vykkers, and now it's time for him and Abe to turn the tables. Power up with Vendo Machines, use psychic powers to posess enemies and machines, arm yourself with oddball Vendo weapons, and rally Oddworld's whacked-out inhabitants (via GameSpeak) to stick it to the Vykkers and save the day". What this means is that if you purchase this game, you are about to be ... more

    Advantages Advantages excellent graphics

Disadvantages Disadvantages completely different from other 2 games

I've played and loved the first 2 games to death. they were 2D platform with 3D cutscenes and were extremely well thought out and used the playstation's power well. This game, however, was no way near as imaginative... honestly! it's odd, pretty and the switching between the 2 different characters at a touch of a button is a great idea so you can use both characters and have some variety.. but there was no creeping past sleeping sligs or using shadows. the speaking function was limited to simple stop, go and work [you can console, hit and other things in the exodus game]. you don't even get to ... more

Advantages Advantages Very playable, easy to follow instructions.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

An excellent game that would appeal to both young and old alike. Abe and Munch are the main characters. Find your way around fighting their enemies to save their species from extermination. The two main characters are extremely likable and have funny little quirks, such as farting and burping at the touch of a button!! Fill up your characters with magic juice from the vending machines to give them special powers along the way.In this game you are able to switch between players which makes it all the more interesting. Although its a really fun, straightforward game, there are parts that you have ... more

    Advantages Advantages Brilliant game!

Disadvantages Disadvantages You can't put it down!

This is the best game I have played for ages! You have to really think about what your doing to complete it and the characters, monopod Munch and odd Abe, are endearing throughout! This game brings a few genres of gameplay into one game. Fighting enemies and strategic thinking coupled with role playing and 3D play make this a game for your collection. You can swop between Abe and Munch utilising their particular strengths to help save the required number of Oddworld workers in each level. There are times when you are totally flummoxed by what to do next and really can't see a way to do it but ... more

    Advantages Advantages Oddworld in 3D

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Level based

Farting, Burping, Vendo Slurping - what more could you want from a game! Abe is back, this time in full 3D, this time with a new found friend – Munch, This is Oddworld Munches Oddysee. If you have ever played the two previous games on the Psone, you’ll understand the strange world that abe lives in. This is no ordinary platform game; it’s a game about corporate greed and animal cruelty expressed in a strong believable game world. Firstly, if you haven’t played the previous games you can catch up on the back-story, with a tasty FMV to tell you about abes previous travels ... more

The original Oddworld game, Abe's Oddysee, was pretty challenging. (I never got around to playing Abe's Exxodus.) It was definitely a thinking man's game. It appeared to be a platformer, but in truth it was a puzzle game through and through. The controls and character animations were not geared towards true platforming action. It was about figuring out what precise series of steps you had to take to reach areas, and also how to help others to reach areas. For the most part, Munch's Oddysee is the same sort of game. [Arbitrary edit by one of Amazon's faceless editors.] I never encountered any ... more

Munch's Oddysee provides challenging gameplay, stunning worlds, and an interesting storyline, for any aged player. Abe and Munch work together to complete the tasks required of them to successfully progress through the game. I naturally gravitated towards this game because I figured that it would be obtainable for me to play and finish in a reasonable amount of time, and because not much has been published regarding the more advanced levels of the game. Gameplay The game begins with a 'training' area that shows you how to use the controls to jump, run, and navigate. You begin with Abe, and ... more
