Advantages: I feel less like Herman Monster on a bad day.. Disadvantages: The price. A little sticky until it dries.
Well, you're in for a double whammy I'm afraid.
You didn't think I'd leave the emergency Olay's answer for the "fill in the 'ol' cakehole cracks" scenario there did you?!
Sigh...
I rarely get time these days to test try anything remotely lush, let alone a good old make up session party with my older sister, aka the make up counter consultant when I was a love sick teenager and trying to impress the boys...
Alas, No! And what a shame!
Those days ... ...can you -
It's Debenhams, the big advertising sister of Revlon, the epitomy of years of practice and fine art,a 50+ size 8 impeccable "done up to the nines megolamaniac, with the air hostess style designer suit, the 6 inch stillettoes, the channel no 5... the liposuction..and the face lift, the obligatory silk neck scarf ,the sculptured talons, the hair extentions... the lot .

Advantages: Makes eyes feel refreshed Disadvantages: No effect on dark circles and not happy with packaging
Yes, I'm writing another Olay review - anyone would think I had shares in the company, but no, I just use a lot of their products. Now that I'm in my 30s I find myself trying more and more products in an attempt to preserve the youthful qualities of my skin. I guess it's just a sign of my age and it goes hand in hand with the way I've started to listen to Radio 2 with increasing frequency.
Up to now I've always been very satisfied with any Olay ... ...were to read my glowing reviews of their moisturiser and night cream you'd see what I meant. However, this eye contour gel just doesn't live up to many of the other Olay products. Before I go on to tell you what I don't like about it, lets start with the facts. If you buy
Olay's Eye Contour Gel from the usual high street retailers it will cost you £7.99 for 15 ml. I actually bought mine from a discount toiletries store for £3.50 but few people will ...

I am a fan of Olay products so when I spotted Olay eye gel in my local Boots it did not take much to persuade me that it would be a worthwhile purchase. So was this a good decision or one of the many I would come to regret?
What do you get for your money?
*****************************
I paid £6.99 in my local Boots for this product. The 15ml of eye gel comes packaged in a very stylish black and gold box. Open the extensive packaging and inside ... ...with a black screw top lid. The packaging promises that if you use the gel for any length of time you will experience great benefits such as a reduction in fine lines, less puffiness, a reduction in dark circles under your eyes and help with skin regeneration. Sounds good doesn’t it? Having read the promise on the box I was hooked and could hardly wait to get my purchase home and put it to the test. On opening the lid I took a sniff and thought the ...

Advantages: A tiny container good for travelling Disadvantages: No visible effects, neither positive nor negative
Several months ago while shopping in superdrug, I spied upon the Olay eye contour gel. Out of curiosities, I bought it. Six months on, I have finally finished the tiny jar of 15 ml and is happy to say, the effects are so slight I still don't know what it does to my skin.
According to Olay, the eye contour gel is supposed to reduce lines, dark circles and puffiness. In my case, I have some lines and definitely large dark circles around my puffy eyes. ... ...nights and insufficient sleep over the years. The gel comes in a tiny translucent jar with a black cap with the usual Olay logo. It is well packaged, giving a very classy look. As mentioned before, the jar contains about 15ml of the gel. Not a lot, but if used sparingly, will last a while.
The gel itself is transparent. It is supposed to be parfum free, but there is a scent to it nevertheless. A very light fragrance. Olay states that the gel contains ...

Advantages: Makes eyes feel fresh and skin feel taught Disadvantages: Runs out quite quickly.
...local beauty counter and selected Oil of Olay Eye Contour Gel. It caught my eye because the range it belongs to have great packaging, striking black, white and gold boxes and sturdy, resiliant tubs. At approximately £8.00 I thought it was a bit steep but I really think that it's worth it. Aside from preventing wrinkles (which can't be proven until I'm 40!) it definitely had a good effect on improving the appearance of my soft skin under my eyes. ... ...of the combination of stimulating the blood by applying the gel, and the refreshing feel to it. My dark patches have almost diappeared after 4 months of using it, and i have noticed that the skin feels tighter there. The product is fragrance free which is great, and the gel is see-through and easy to apply. However, the tub is quite small and you can finish it fairly quickly. My last tub lasted around 2 months. A pleasant side-effect is that if applied ...

Advantages: Helps with minor dark circles, inexpensive considering how long a pot lasts Disadvantages: Cold in the winter!!
I've always had minor dark circles underneath my eyes, I've never been sure if this is through lack of sleep or that I'm crossed with a panda.
I've tried several products to remove these circles, but most to no avail. I tried Olay Eye Contour Gel expecting similar results to the other products I had tried, but approached it with the attitude of if you don't try, you won't know.
The price initially seemed expensive at just under £9 per pot, but ... ...of time each pot lasts, the cost is with hindsight quite reasonable.
The clear gel, I have always found, is easily abosrbed into my skin and unlike other similar products, it doesn't make my eyes feel cold after I have used it.
There is a slight perfume to the gel; the nearest scent I can compare it to is vanilla. This smell isn't overpowering, so I don't personally see it to be a problem.
I have been using the gel for a few months now, and it ...

Advantages: Cooling Effect Disadvantages: No effect on severe cases of dark rings under eyes and heavy lines
Ive used many of these eye products which are supposed to reduce lines and dark areas under the eye. This one was just as bad as all the others I have tried so far!! I have been trying it for nearly three weeks and there is no difference under my eyes. However it does give me a cooling effect which is very relaxing. I suffer from very dark rings under my eyes probably from lack of sleep and I do need a product to help me sort this problem out, but ... ...useless, infact the shops own brands work slightly better than this and this is a very expensive brand. I bought this particular brand because I have tried some other products made by them which have worked but this one was unsuccessful. I wouldnt recommend this product to anyone who has an eye contour problem which is severe but maybe it would work on someone with small lines and faint rings. Good luck anyone who is going to try this. ...

Advantages: So allergic reaction Disadvantages: No noticable effects or change, quite greasy
Anyone who know's me knows I'm a product junkie and so an in a vain search to find an effective eye cream to diminish these horrible dark circles under my eyes!!
I actually read a reveiw on this website saying that it works. Sorry - or more unfortunaley for me and my wallet - IT DOESN'T MAKE THE SLGIHTEST DIFFERENCE.
I am a patient girl and I know these things take time but I've had this cream/gel for so long.... and I have given up hope and the ... ...a slightly cooling effect and I hate to waste stuff.
Upon use, It is quite greasy on your skin, even when you use the tiniest amount.
Sorry, Olay, Iove your other products and will stay loyal for other products, but this eye gel is such a let down. ...

Advantages: no smell, light and moisturising Disadvantages: expensive, no visible results
I bought this as advancing years have produced small lines and dark circles under my eyes although I don't (as yet) have much puffiness.
I tried this as I am a long term user of the moisturiser being one of the first to have SPF in it but I have to say I was very disappointed.
It comes in a small jar which may not the the most hygeinic way to apply eye products (make sure hands are clean!) but its light, doesn't have a noticeable smell and leaves ... ...about it really. Lines are still there as are the dark circles. I have really noticed any difference. I just use it at night now as a moisturiser until its empty and I can use the pot for travel use! It was over £6 for a tiny amount and there are far better products out there for less. Even a small tube of Avon Aloe gel I have works better. ...
