The original and still the best

Advantages: See opinion
Disadvantages: See footnote (although this has not affected my overall rating of the product as it is a personal view)

Since Olay Moisturising Body Wash was brought out a few years ago, other manufacturers have slowly jumped on the bandwagon and brought out their own moisturising washes – including Dove, Boots and Original Source, but Olay still seems to be the best, and most popular brand. Before Olay, most shower gels were just that: a gel, which would create a lather, smell nice (usually fruity!) and keep you clean, but that was about it. Olay went a step further ...
...well as creating lather, smelling lovely (although not fruity!) and of course keeping you clean. This was a great idea, as showering (especially if you don’t towel dry your skin thoroughly afterwards) can really dry out your skin. This product goes some way to counteract these effects. The body wash is in a squeezy bottle with a flip top, which is flat on both the top and the bottom. They suggest that once the bottle is less than half full you stand ...

...is supposed to do. “Hmmmm. Oil of Olay Moisturising Body Wash. That’s a new one. The wee one and her mum must have been scouring the shelves in the local chemist again. And what’s this little sponge thingy for, I wonder?” ~ ~ So it was over to the back of the container to illicit some more info. “We can prove your skin can feel soft and smooth”, it proclaims. “Use just one dash of Olay Moisturising Body ...
...experience skin that feels soft and smooth, every single day,” it goes on to add. OK. So it’s not a sponge, it’s a puff, (original) and you’re supposed to put a dab on and wash yourself down with it, for a truly wonderful, silky smooth, skin. ~ ~ Now any of you who have read my golfing ops, and who also know that I am a taxi-driver, will realise that I spend an awful lot of my waking hours exposed to the elements, whether ...

Makes me Feel Younger too

Advantages: cleans and moisturises, can be bought with replacement puff, lovely scent
Disadvantages: wish it was on offer more

...moisturising formula, that like other Oil of Olay products, works to mimic the body's own natural moisturisers. What you are supposed to do is wet this net like sponge called a body puff, available with the bottle if you wish to buy as a set, and put about a 10 pence sized drop of the rich creamy white fluid on it. Then rub all over your body and be amazed at the full rich lather that slithers over your skin, cleansing and refreshing your poor tired ...
...puff with a bottle of Oil of Olay Moisturising Body Wash in a starter kit, but keep an eye out as you can also get some quite good puffs seperately at chemists and other shops for as little as 59 pence and perhaps save a bit of cash. Just be sure to feel the quality of the netting however. I once purchased a puff for £1.99, thinking at that price it would be good, and the plastic was NOT soft at all and felt like a pot scouring scrubber! Out it went! ...

The Best Shower Gel On Ciao

Advantages: creamy, moisturising, washes well
Disadvantages: bland fragrance, badly designed packaging, inferior to some other brands

...Asda and this one – Oil of Olay’s moisturising body wash. Therefore, when I bought the Oil of Olay one, hubby wasn’t quite sure why I needed it. I tried to explain it was highly recommended by Ciao, but he just raised his eyes skywards and sighed deeply. So I thought I’d plead my case here and try to explain why I bought it, to those who will understand. I have only become a convert to showers in the last couple of months, ...
...right at the top was Oil of Olay’s moisturising body wash with 96% of opinions recommending it. How could I let this pass me by? I needed to try out the best shower gel, just to see for myself. I found some in my local chemists and bought a 300ml bottle for £2.65. This is quite expensive compared to Asda’s wonderful Get Fruity shower gel (for less than £1) but comparable to Original Source which sells 250ml of shower gel for £2.49 or ...

A dab is all it takes

Advantages: smooth silky moisturised skin
Disadvantages: expensive

...a couple of years ago, Oil of Ulay (or Olay as it seems to be called now) was not a brand name that I would have given a second thought to. As far as I was concerned the brand was associated with the rich, famous, old and sorry mum, my mother. Oil of Olay advertising claimed that their facial creams helped 'reduce the signs of ageing'. Being a fairly young looking 31 year old, this kind of slogan did not appeal to me. I have always wanted to look ...
...now that I am racing towards middle age). If the advertising had said "makes you more attractive to men" or "increases your job prospects" then I might have been tempted! Then I fell for one of those advertising gimmicks. You know the one; post a sample of the product through the door of an unsuspecting homeowner and then reel them in. This sample was a bit different from those I was used to receiving. Not only did it contain a couple of 'very hard ...

Advantages: Luxurious, moisturing & creamy
Disadvantages: Possibly price, but still excellent value

...I was an Oil of Olay Bodywash virgin until a month ago, when I found that Superdrug was offering BOGOF on 400ml bottles…. So I thought I’d try it. I believe usual price is roughly £4.20 I do need to be relatively picky with my body products as my skin is very dry. Before this bodywash, I would use A N Other shower gel, and then sparingly apply a layer of baby oil whilst still wet out of the shower. This would help prevent snake skin once I’d properly ...
...when they stop marketing that Oil of Ulay is now Oil of Olay). The packaging also promises 80+ washes with an Olay puff. (I have found that any decent puff will do!) The texture is a wonderfully thick crème, that looks like an expensive body moisturiser, which sets your expectations high. The smell is fantastic – a delicately clean, lightly perfumed smell. You need only a small amount on your puff – say a blob the size of a 10p piece should do it, ...

Olay Olay Olay Olay

Advantages: leaves skin soft, great smell

...had a bath and used Oil of Olay Moisturising Body Wash, it made me drift back to my holiday in Florida. It's funny how certain smells remind you of a person or place isn't it? I went to Orlando a few years ago and we had hired a massive villa with three bedrooms, two bathrooms etc. There is only two of us but we like to enjoy the luxury for two weeks at least, as we will never be able to afford this in real life. When I went into the spare bathroom ...
...those. Sometimes when buying Oil of Olay you get a free scrunchie with it. Once I had used the sachet up I had got the bug for it, so on our next supermarket trip to Walmart I scoured the shelves for a bottle. I found one but it was already named Oil of Olay, I sniffed it just to make sure. For a 400ml size over there it only cost about £2.00, over here it costs £4.99. I did actually manage to get one for £2.99 at Superdrug. I only use it as ...

Advantages: Does its job and leaves you with moisturised and smooth skin
Disadvantages: the bland fragrance and the price

Oil of Olay Moisturising Body Wash My mum was recently given this as a present. As I'd run out of my own body wash, I knew my mum wouldn't mind if I used a bit of hers until I could go to the shops. Price: As we received it as a gift with a body puff and moisturising cream. Have a good wash day

Advantages: above
Disadvantages: =

...in our house to use Oil of Ulay products, it was not until Christmas when I received an Oil of Ulay gift set that I realised how good the product was. When I received the present, I received a scrunchie, with it. It’s common these days to get one with their products. 40 plus Uses with Olay Puff, my mind boggles.

Advantages: It smells gorgeous
Disadvantages: I am allergic to scented toiletries

...for me (how they view Oil of Olay products) and waited for the storm. I remained overjoyed and proceeded to have a shower. It smelt gorgeous, a little bit like a strong baby powder. I only needed to use a 'little dab' like the instructions said and the lather was enough for the whole of me. I am not a huge person, but there was definitely enough to froth over another body too (if I was so inclined). It says that it is PH balanced (I haven't tried ...
...have a slight hiccup here. I am very allergic to scented products. I would normally use Simple or Sainsbury Pure. The Moisterising Body Wash is ok, but I am a little sensitive, and have found myself wishing I was Baloo out of the Jungle Book, rubbing my back up and down a tree. The office chair has to suffice at this point (amidst strange looks). On the whole though, I think it is a great wash. Better than the E45 Body Wash - what is that about, ...

Smoove as silk

Advantages: Moisturising, smell
Disadvantages: Packaging does not reflect the attractiveness of the product

...key. I brought Oil of Olay Moisturising Body Wash because I wanted a change from my usual brand of shower gel. Over the last few months, shower products have been drying out my skin, leaving it feeling itchy and rough. The Oil of Olay Moisturising Body Wash appealed to me because Oil of Olay have a good reputation in skincare. The Body wash smelled very fresh and clean and lathered really quickly. After the first use, my skin was brighter and slightly smoother and after about a week my skin was less dry and finer areas of dry skin were no longer visible. Most of the time I used a “buff pad” to lather the Body Wash (I don’t know what they really are called but ...

the nicest lather the softest skin

Advantages: smells great, good lather, soft skin, pleasantly packaged
Disadvantages: expensive

...I have ever tried an Oil of Olay product, but if they are anything like this I plan to purchase some! This body wash is white, very thick and creamy and is best applied to the body using an exfoliator from Boots, the kind that are made out of some type of net, so that you can bring it up into a lather!
