Advantages Advantages silky moisturiser that also gives you a hint of a tan - can it get any better?

Disadvantages Disadvantages Tanned face - white body?

As the sun came out last week I was feeling a little pasty. Even though I have recently been on holiday, I do not really tan. I am one of those people who is light blue when pale, and bright white with freckles when "tanned". Anyway, I decided to pop into my local Boots to see if I could find any nice make up to make me feel a little more summery. As I browsed I had a look at my usual Olay section to see if they had anything new. This is when I found the Olay Complete Care Everyday Sunshine. Everyday Sunshine is a moisturiser that has a touch of sunless tanner and which comes in 2 shades - one ... more

Advantages Advantages Healthy glow with out the skin damage.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Currently only available in a small tube.

☼ Okay I admit it I like a tan. I like a good whipping too but that's a different review....! I admit to having booked a few sunbed sessions every now and again. Silly really from a health point of view, I know, especially as I promote and demonstrate skin care products! It's just that I FEEL healthier and not being particularly fair skinned, I do tend to tan easily so its no real effort. ☼ Last Summer the first moisturiser with an added gradual tanning agent was introduced to the market. Whilst in the course of my skincare demonstrations inoticed this product was selling in shelf ... more

Advantages Advantages You can see the rsults instantly, subtle and lovely

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A little greasy

I used to take pride in my pale, English-rose complexion. I would purposely stay out of the sun to avoid its harmful rays and slather on an SPF 50 when I venured out onto the golden sands. It suited my blonde-mousy hair that is my natural colour, so it didn't look odd or make me appear ill. That all changed one day back in 2006. I loved to dye my hair and for many years I was a platinum blonde, however the blonde began to bore me so I opted for a more adventurous colour...black! I am a woman of extremes, but I figured my mum had pale skin and naturally black hair, as did my grandmother...(I ... more

Advantages Advantages sunkissed glow, nice smell, no streaks

    Disadvantages Disadvantages slightly oily

Well, the sunny weather has now appeared and so I decided to go out my garden and relax. Sat down and first thing I noticed was how pale I looked! Made me feel like my body was stuck in winter still and so decided I must try and do something about it. With it only really being the first bout of sunshine, I decided not to go for the full self tan slap on, as I though this would look unrealistic on me as my pale skin does not tan particulary quickly or easily, and so suddenly appearing brown would kind of give the game away. So I decided to try one of the new moisturising products out that ... more

Advantages Advantages Sun-kissed glow, naturally tanned, gently fragranced, light, absorbed easily

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can build up if too much is applied, can only be applied onto face and neck

As it's summer and the sun is making itself comfortable in the sky, alot of women take it as an indication to start applying the fake tan or to get out their purses and run to the local tanning salon in need of that quick 'I just spent a month in Fiji' fix. But why bother with the hassle when you can simply go to the local pharmacy and buy yourself a box of this? Olay Complete Care Everyday Sunshine. Obviously it won't give you an all-over tan, like a few weeks abroad would, but it will make you look like you've spent your fair share of hours in the British sunshine, and give you a healthy sun ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice even glow, with spf15 and can wear make-up on top!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Orange fingernails.

My mum actually picked this out for me. I have very pale skin with freckles and never tan. I tend to burn which can sometimes if i'm lucky go brown, but rarely stays and in general I mostly just develop more freckles, therefore, my mum saw this and thought it would be good for me. It's a moisturiser that gradually builds up a subtle tan over time. I've used it for about a month now and am very happy with the results. I have a nice even glow on my skin. However, I don't like to use it more than once a day to avoid becoming too tanned and orange. Once a day seems suffice to gain an even tan ... more

Advantages Advantages Very easy to apply, doesn't streak, no nasty smell

Disadvantages Disadvantages Needs more than one application for effect, makes my eyes sting

If you've read any of my other reviews, you will know that I have an extremely pale complexion. So pale, I've been told, that I look almost transparent - my nickname at school was 'Casper' - so, you get the picture? I've tried loads and loads of self-tanning products over the years - some have worked or me and others haven't worked so well. Some self-tanners I've tried are specifically meant for use on the body (rather than the face) but I've used them anyway, usually with pretty disasterous results! I'd seen the advert on TV for Olay Complete Care Everyday Sunsine and I immediately took ... more

Advantages Advantages Wasn't expensive, started working quickly

Disadvantages Disadvantages Cheap smell, greasy texture, reddened my skin whilst simultaneously turning it a spectacular shade of nuclear orange

*pulls disgruntled face* I had been desperate for a bit of a new look for quite some time. My childhood blonde hair has turned a much duller shade of late. I announced a few weeks ago that I was going to dye my hair, much to the protestations of those around me. "Don't! You've got lovely hair, a gorgeous, warm blonde colour. People pay pound upon pound for hair your colour!" Needless to say, I didn't listen to so much as a word, I was bored of what nature had given me, in the form of my honey-blonde hair and pale skin and set about my ill-fated voyage of self-change. Step number one was the ... more

Advantages Advantages Natural-looking colour and a fabulous moisturising action.

Disadvantages Disadvantages You need to decide where your face ends and body starts....

I bought this solely and uniquely for the reason that it was on sale for £1 at a local pound shop. With the Olay brand name, I figured that there was no way I could go wrong. I am so pale it is frightening - my natural skin colour is actually a blue-green - and I suffer from dark circles under my eyes as well as rapidly developing wrinkles. I needed help! I was impressed to start off by the texture of the product and how easily it is absorbed. It is a serious bugbear of mine when it takes an age to get a moisturiser to sink in, and the thicker products make me feel as if my skin is all clogged ... more

Advantages Advantages Feels nice on your skin, smells nice (at first)

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Orangey hairline!

I was looking for a new moisturiser while I was at the supermarket one evening. I wanted one with an SPF as the weather was heating up. I spotted the Olay everyday sunshine with SPF 15 and noticed it also had some fake tan in it. I had tried moisturisers with a tan that builds gradually before, but only for my body. I thought it sounded like a good idea so I bought it; the price was around £7. I tried the moisturiser that evening instead of my usual one. The cream is quite silky, it is a creamy yellowy colour, and it smells quite nice, a bit like melons! It absorbed well into my skin, and did ... more
