A natural way to deal with colds

Advantagesnatural, essential oils, effectively clears a blocked nose, mutliple uses, good value

Disadvantagesvery strong scent, but that's the point really!

"Olbas Oil is an essential in my medicine kit and I have been using it since I was a child, I really couldn't be without it. I'm currently suffering with a hideous summer cold which has inspired me to write this review! In this form it is an inhalant decongestant and has various other uses, it is a multi-tasking product and works hard when you need to feel better. I bought this from boots at the cost of £3.99 for a 28ml bottle, and they also come in ..." Read review

Stuff for STUFFINESS!!

AdvantagesEffective & good value..

DisadvantagesNone for me..

"...home is a bottle of Olbas Oil. This is a menthol and eucalyptus based oil, which is effective in the relief of stuffy noses and nasal congestion, as well as for the symptoms of hay fever. The Olbas Oil can be bought over the counter in any good pharmacy or drugstore, and costs in the region of £3 for a small 15ml bottle. The Olbas Oil does not contain any ingredients which are harmful to me personally, but as with all medications and over-the-counter ..." Read review

DisadvantagesIt can be overpowering !

"...remedies too ... == ~~~ OLBAS OIL ~~~ == Olbas Oil is an inhalant decongestant that provides quick and effective relief from colds, catarrh, sinus problems, hayfever and bronchial and nasal congestion. It's a wonderful blend of pure essential oils and contains only natural ingredients. It also has a unique menthol fragrance ... a fragrance that has been created by a 70% blend of Eucalyptus and Mint Oil. The fragrance of Olbas Oil is almost ..." Read review

A decongestant you can rely on Review with images

AdvantagesIt actually does what it claims

DisadvantagesNone

"...is the way I use Olbas oil) The Olbas oil comes in a small brown 28 ml bottle with a white screw on lid, underneath which, is a yellow dropper inserted into the neck of the bottle making the oil easier to dispense, as when it is used, only a few drops are needed at a time. Adults and children over 3 months can use Olbas oil, but it is recommended that children below the age of two are not able to reach any tissues containing the oil that is used ..." Read review

AdvantagesClears blocked noses, eases catarrh, sinusitis and sore and stiff muscles

DisadvantagesWill irritate eyes

"...curb the quivering jelly syndrome? Olbas Decongestant Oil was the answer! Nothing horrid to squirt up his nostrils, just a few drops to be sprinkled onto his handkerchief and pillows, a few sniffs now and again and harmony would be restored! This stuff is magical! It contains a blend of 5 different pure plant oils (originated in Switzerland), including menthol and eucalyptus, that all work together to clear up stuffy noses. If it doesn’t ..." Read review

STUFFY NOSES GONE FOR GOOD

AdvantagesClears the most stubborn blockages, Natural ingredients, Pleasant smell

DisadvantagesIs a bit Costly but as I say worth every penny

"...colour LOL) with the words OLBAS OIL (Although, I spent most of my childhood calling it OLLYBUS OIL for some strange reason), my mum said the chemist has recommended her it, as it was new out, so I read the instructions and gave it a go (as I was at the time suffering once again SNIFF SNIFF), just a couple of drops on a tissue and a sniff or two later, I was cured, my blocked nose had instantly been cleared, HOORAY, I could actually breathe through ..." A Great Little Bottle Of Oil.

AdvantagesDifferent uses and fast acting

DisadvantagesNone

"...keep a little bottle of Olbas Oil in my medicine cabinet. I hadn't realised just how useful this little bottle of oil can be! ==A Bit About The Oil== Olbas Oil is a blend of essential oils which give off a pleasant and not too overpowering aroma to aid nasal congestion or a blocked nose. Unlike some decongestants with a strong menthol aroma Olbas Oil has a really nice, refreshing, herby smell, which instantly seems to clear congestion. The ..." Read review

A Good Nights Sleep

Advantageseasy to use and works straight away

Disadvantagesnone

"...a couple of drops of Olbas oil on a tissue and then placing it in her pillow case before she went to bed and the difference this made was amazing. Almost instantly she stopped coughing and was less congested and as result we all got a good nights sleep. You can smell the oil as soon as you walk into the room as it is strong and smells of mint and eucalyptus. It is not an unpleasant smell and when you inhale it you can feel it clearing your nose ..." 'Twas the night before Christmas.... Review with images

Advantages.

Disadvantages.

"...would always get out the olbas oil and send us school stinking off it!! Now that I am a mother myself I do exactly the same. Its funny really, we spend years cursing our mothers for the things that they do to us when we were younger and then when we finally have children of our own we end up doing exactly the same!! Anyhow.....enough of my family history, whats this Olbas stuff I hear you say. Well Olbas oil is basically as it says an oil. It ..." Read review

Cold Soother

AdvantagesHelps you to breathe

DisadvantagesIt relly does smell

"...remedies. I will start with Olbas Oil. Many of you may not have heard of this is it is not all that well known. Probably the best comparison that can be made is with Vicks (of vapour rub fame). They are both inhalant decongestants, only unlike Vicks, Olbas Oil is in an oil form rather than a cream. Inhalant means it is something you inhale - breathe in, while decongestant means it relieves congestion and basically will help to clear your nose. WHAT ..." Read review

OLBAS OIL with apologies to BILLY CONNOLLY

AdvantagesCheap, convenient, effective

DisadvantagesJust don't get it near your eyes!

"...I survived before I discovered Olbas Oil. If you suffer from colds, blocked sinuses, chest infections or even hayfever, it is a godsend. For totally ‘healthy’ people who never have stuffy noses, Congratulations! I, too, never knew the misery of ..." Read review

Powering through my cold

AdvantagesHelps clear stuffiness, price, effective

DisadvantagesMay be an overpowering smell for some

"...area and massage in. Olbas oil can be used from aged 3 months, although there is a gentler formula on the market for children, as I'd imagine that the smell could be very intense to younger noses. For children aged 3 months - 2 years, only use 1 drop of the oil, but aged 2+ use the 2 - 3 drops. It also recommends that if you are pregnant or breastfeeding to consult your GP/Pharmacist before using this product. When you inhale this, it is a very ..." Read review
