Olivetti JP192 black/mono printer is a cheap to buy printer, that is lightweight and easy to use. I got it for just under £55 on sale. The ink, however, is a different matter, being well over £20 a cartridge/printhead. Also on the down side is the print quality and lack of convenience. Only one printhead can be used at a time, so the colour or black that is taken out must be stored in the little container provided, and you must keep changing them ... Read review

I HAVE BEEN USING MY OLLIVETTI JP 192 PRINTER FOR ABOUT SIX MONTHS NOW AND I FIND IT AN EXCELLENT PIECE OF HARDWARE TO USE. THERE ARE MANY PRINTERS IN THE JP RANGE...SOME OLDER SOME NEWER..BUT FOR THIS OPINION -ALTHOUGH I HAVE USED SEVERAL IN THE RANGE- I WILL CONFINE MY SELF TO THE 192. ...I were to recommend the Olivetti JP-192 to anyone it would only be because someone was pointing a gun at my head. This printer is incredibly slow, especially when printing in colour. I also found it incredibly difficult to find print cartridges for this printer and when I did find them they were extremely expensive. I recently bought a olivetti jp192 at staples warehouse. After six weeks it became faulty with the paper going into the printer at an angle which caused the paper to jam due to one of the rollers not working. I rang up staples about the printer, They told me to ring up olivetti which I done. I explained to customer servies about my fault on the printer, They told me to take all the leads out and the ink printhead, A courrier will bring you a replacement ... Read review

I bought this Olivetti printer because I found at a very good price on an internet auction (not second hand though, printer arrived packed and unused). The quality of printing is very satisfactory (I think it is better than the Epson 440 I owned before). This printer comes with a black print head and it can optionally take colour and even photo cartridge (you have to change the cartridge depending on what you want to print every time).
