Also on the front there is the Flash and Self-Timer light. Along the top there is only a shutter button. This is the button you press to take a picture. On the other side there is a DC IN 3V hole, a VIDEO OUT hole and last but not least the USB connector. The DC IN 3V is for connecting the camera to the AC Adaptor, the VIDEO OUT is for connecting the camera, with ease, the a television, and the USB connector is for connecting the camera to a Pc with a USB cable. Perhaps the most important part of this camera is the back. On the back it has the Monitor, Ok/Menu ...

Advantages: Elegantly Styled Nice to Hold Simple to Use Disadvantages: Lacks Features
...Suite Software CD and a Olympus driver and reference CD along with a comprehensive manual in quite a few languages.
I will mention this battery again as I was disappointed that it states non-rechargeable on the side, yet the camera has DC in 3V socket but no power lead was supplied… a bit of corner cutting here I fear.
The camera itself is very neat and elegantly styled with 6 small buttons beside the small 1.5 inch TFT LCD colour monitor. ... ...quality. This baby olympus is a cinch to setup, stick in the battery and open the shutter, then point and click. Advantages: Compact, lens cover, good power consumption Disadvantages: Software won`t recognise it, `snowy` pictures
...missus`s catalogue I noticed the Olympus C1 USB. After reading the specs, I decided to go ahead and buy it.
The camera is silver coloured and quite light (you have to remember it`s in your pocket) and has a built in flash BUT no optical zoom features. It connects to the PC via a supplied USB cable and installation of the drivers in Win98/XP is very painless. The camera is powered up by sliding the lens cover to onside, and after a couple of seconds ... ...very reasonable pictures, but at high quality resolution (when viewing at 1:1 on my PC) I have noticed that the pictures have a `snowy` effect. Once they`ve been reduced in size this disappears, but it`s a little irksome. This cannot be seen on the LCD because of the small size. A very good thing about this camera is that it doesn`t seem to be power hungry, as I`ve yet to change the batteries after quite some use.
The one major bug is the supplied ...

...on several occasions!)
The Olympus Camedia C-1 is an excellent camera and well within budget at between £150-175 (don't know the exact amount, it was a present!)
It has a 1.31 Megapixel matrix. Its small enough to fit into your pocket. The camera is switched on by moving the lens cover. Once the lens cover is open, you use it just like any other camera, press the button on the top, right hand side. The other controls for navigation, such as monitor, ... ...from a proprietary Li battery OLYMPUS CR-V3. I would recommend using rechargeable batteries as it uses quite a lot of power and it would cost loads to keep buying new batteries

I have owned one of these cameras since christmas, it was a present. I couldn't wait to start taking pictures, so I took some of my dog, the old standby, and guess what?, the software supplied wouldn't recognise the camera! After reading and re-reading the manual, I was still no nearer a solution. I decided then to try using my existing software to download the photos and tried adobe photodeluxe. It was then I discovered that the pc recognises the ... ...was then able to download into any of my photo programs or simply open the removable drive and copy the images, or drag and drop to a suitable folder.
So what’s in the box? a camera of course, small (110x60x30mm) and light (250g inc. batteries). The camera is silver in colour and quite robust in construction. The large sliding lens cover also covers the flash, viewfinder and self timer lamp, and is the on switch to shooting mode. A usb lead is included ...

Advantages: Inexpensive, No drivers required (For XP), Good quality Disadvantages: Eats alkaline batterys, rechargeables a must, only 8MB memory included
I've never owned a camera. I've always been put off by the ongoing expense of film and developing, so when digital cameras became popular, I was interested. I got this little number from PC World for £99 and it's worth every penny. Fair enough, it's only a 1.3 megapixel, and some might say that isn't good enough, but in my opinion, it's fine, as long as the pictures are printed out at around 4x6 inches.
The camera itself is very simple to use straight ... ...are clear and informative, and help you to understand how do delete pictures and change flash mode etc. I use Windows XP, which has bulit in support for this model. Just connect your USB cable and you are given a choice of print, copy to My Computer or view pictures. Very easy to use. On the downside, it is very heavy on batteries. The supplied lithium cell gives you a good service. Around 100 photos taken, and viewed on LCD screen almost constantly. ...
