Advantages: Dreamy, Whimsical, completely out of this world, very atmospheric Disadvantages: Writing quite archaic, predictable
As a rule of thumb I don't often read horror, I've turned down repeated recommendations to read Stephen King, Clive Barker et al. They didn't really capture my imagination or sense of literary endeavour. I've even learnt that I have rare version of a Ramsey Campbell novel supposedly a work of unimaginable terror, that I started reading but stopped part of the way through.
