    One Red Paperclip, by Kyle MacDonald was a genuine worldwide sensation, even before Kyle MacDonald had written one word of the book. Because, it seemed that just about everyone in the world had heard all about Kyle MacDonald and his one red paperclip. I had heard about it at the time, so was pleased to see his book available in paperback in our local branch of W H Smiths. At £10.99 (though I got a few pounds off as part of a buy three books deal.)     A book that shows determination from a man who has a goal and is not willing to sacrifice success even when the finish line is clear ahead. A great book that will keep you reading with great structure. A*

    An exciting book detailing the journey of Kyle MacDonald as he trades up a paperclip for a house. The book is quite pricey, however, compared to some similar paperback books, at around £10.99. Kyle's literary style is friendly and intimate, making the book very easy to read even when tired, or when your mind is on something else. The book is accompanied by black and white photographs of the trade, and intimate personal accounts of the journey. Kyle also explains the origins of 'One Red Paperclip' by talking about a childhood game he used to play called 'Bigger and Better', in which he and his ... more
