I have used optical express for about 8 years and it is so true once your money is being paid customer service is disgraceful. I am on a monthly direct debit for contact lenses. I have been given wrong solution and it hurt like hell!! was eventually told I was alergic to the solution and should never have been given it in the first place, great I was supposed to be enjoying a weekend away but now had a swollen, sore and burnt eye. Glasgow, start off big hardsell and lots of enthusiam from the staff,tell you how great it will be to have laser surgery and after a few tests I was a suitable client. The price on the door395 per eye, great I thought , reality 1295 per eye after they hit me with the wavefront treatment, better for my prescription , faster recovery and result, YEAH RIGHT.but silly me went for it as they promised id be fine. No Not fine I was ill they atually scratched my eyes i was in shock and vomited at home. went back the next day some idiot poked my worst eye with a pair of tweezers so had to get the surgeon to put a lense in for me with drops i had to wear the lense for days. anyway i had to take 2weeks off work as i could not focus and had terrible headaches, called numerous times and noone got back to me, emailed , poor service until i got Ahmed OPTICAL EXPRESS CONSULTANT in torquay who tried to help me, he even sent glasgow an email saying i had a botched job done. lots more to say about this company ,but wont have the space, I have had this done a year ago and guess what my eyes are very poor worse than i started and i think they should return my money that i paid them, oh no they are saying i need to pay them???The financial dept are rude and arrogant everyone there knows i had a rough time but continue to demand money from me. Please be careful anyone considering them they dont tell many folk about the bad experiences. keep your glasses and lenses but consider getting even them from a better supplier ...

I have complained via their response forms and had eager replies from the HQ but they then filter their response back to the store - who then ignore you - both in the store, on the telephone and with any message you try and leave.
